micxwell: I don't have a problem with recharging. After the battery becomes full; I expect it to remain at that "100%", on the display of LVTOPSUN batteries you'll see IDLE when the inverter is not pulling any power from the battery.
But my battery trickle discharges with "0.3 to 0.33A" down from 100%. It stays there like that and by 6/7pm it'll be at 96%. Even if you load the inverter with a pumping machine and a pressing iron at the same time; the current draw from the battery stays at that '0.3-0.33A"; all other power draw comes from the panels.
The inverter will only charge the battery back to 100% only when it drops below 90% is there communication between your inverter and battery |

Sorry about the experience. This bloated cells happened after how many years of using it and did warranty cover it durodee: Got a pylontech battery few years back. Prone to bloating. Hightech packaging but does not deliver watt for Naira as most other less expensive but not less reputable products in the market. Will I buy another one ? No. The only two deciding factors for me in choosing a battery pack are value for money and reliability and not reputation |

Hi I am looking forwardtonhave this exact same setup. I have already gotten the inverter from fouani, remain battery and panels. Please i have some questions since you have bee using it for over a year. 1. Didi you get the plynotech battery from Fouani. 2. If yes, does it come with cable that will be used to connect the battery to the inverter. I noticed the terminal of plynotech battery is different from growatt terminal. 3. How good is the battery, have you experienced any issue with it. What your honest reviewon the pylontech battery after a year plus of using it. Thanks you QuoteJust1nce: After much delib, Finally settled for:
Jinko 580W x9, Growatt SPF 5000ES and Pylontech UP5000 5.12kWh x2
I guess it's time to find a reliable installer and I'll love recommendations. Thanks alot

Good morning house Please lithium battery has good quality, and last for years between Pylontech, Lvtopsun, and Felicity.
I am thinking of getting a 10kwh or 15kwh battery to replace my 4 tubular battery, and I don't know which brand to go for. I want something that will give me peace of mind and value for money.
My load is two freezer during day and from 10pm to 6am, and light during the night |

Mavor: Thanks a lot to the people here (HeavenlyBang, etc) who patiently and meaningfully contributed to my journey. Endof. hi Mavor, with this your set up of 8 jinko panels. Is it enough power your 2 AC, what is the average watts the panels are generating during a normal sunny day. I am asking because I want to set up a similar system to power my Block making freezer that is using AC (consume 2.3kw) |

Tdoctor: How Nairaland Solar FTA thread has helped me:
This may be a long post, but I want to thank everyone on this thread for their help. Many people read stuff here anonymously, believe me.
So let me start. I bought 12 panels from a dealer (supposedly 450W each; Afri-something panel). I was happy initially but started noticing that my batteries (lead acid - 8 x 220Ah) were not being fully charged. During installation, I asked the dealer if LFP or lead acid was better. He said LFP was better but far more expensive, only for me to come here and find out that, considering all variables, LFP is cheaper (but that is a story for another day), so let me continue my panel story.
After looking at the data, I found out that the supposed 450W x 12 panels never exceeded 2700W, even during the dry season. I was expecting about 4500W (I did not mind the panels not reaching their 100% rate which would be 5400W or so), but 2700W was too low for me. The charge controller (CC) was rated 45A, so I concluded the CC was reducing the panel output. The inverter system was 48V, so that could not be the problem.
Later, I got a 100A CC but the power still did not increase. I washed the panels - no increase. I brought an installer to check the connections - no increase. That's when I realized that I had been sold a substandard panel. I complained to the dealer, but he said nothing was wrong with the panels (what else would he say?).
I could not use those panels because their very presence began to irritate me. I offloaded them (at an honest rate) to someone else and came here. It was here that I found that panel sellers were not doing good things to people. However, on one of the threads, Fouani and Techland were mentioned as legit panel sellers. I went with Techland. I bought 12 x 485W Jinko panels for less than I bought the useless 450W panels. On second day of installation, I saw 4800W. I was happy.
Later, the panels brought down 6200W (about 517W per panel; more than 100% of the rated power). The panels still produce well and charge the batteries to full when the sun is good.
I am happy and sad at the same time. I wish I had come here earlier. The dealer wasted my time, money, and emotions. Even the charge controller, the dealer sold to me, I have offloaded it. Only the batteries remain, as they seem to be the most expensive part of the system to replace. Anyway, I am happy I did not buy LFP from the man because I could have been sold 5kwh as 15kwh.
Moral of the story. > Before you spend a lot of money on anything. Do your OWN due diligence. > Many sellers and installers just want to sell, and DO NOT care about your subsequent frustrations. > DO NOT trust sellers who have not been recommended by MANY people. > Poor installations may not only lead to financial loss, they could lead to death, because people who cut corners, cut corners in EVERYTHING. > It is YOUR money. Do not let anyone cajole you into buying pain and loss.
God bless. please what size of DC cable did you use for this setup. I also planning to change my rubbish panels to better ones. Also how can I get solar panels from techland |

easyyoke: It is an inverter fridge so there is no surge. The compressor starts slowly then continues working. It doesn't surge up like old compressors. There is a mechanism called defrosting where the evaporator tries to defreeze to prevent clogging, that is the process that uses the highest power and at that period the highest power the fridge uses is 110W and it is only for about 15minutes and it does that only once in 8hours. And it doesn’t just jump or surge to that level, the compressor rises slowly from 0watt till it gets to that 110w so your inverter won’t even notice anything. The freezer works for about 4hours or so to start freezing anything you put inside it.
During the day, how hours did you use to put it on
I dont put it off atall though. Since it doesn’t consume much power. The typical continuous wattage it works at is 65-75w. Also the compressor goes on and off by itself and only works for about 14hours out of 24hours Thanks for this. I appreciate it. Please home much did you get it and what is the maker |

easyyoke: Let me give you a few tips to make your battery last longer. First of, stop using all your fans. Save up and buy DC Fans. My Duravolt 16’ standing fan consumes just 15W at speed 1, 22W at Speed 2 and 26W at Speed 3. Second, like one user already said, only use your freezer during the day when there is sun outside, at night, switch it off. Everything should be well frozen till the following morning. If you really want to run your refrigerator system 24hours, then save up to buy an LG inverter Fridge-Freezer combo. My 302L Fridge-Freezer combination consumes just 70W. Infact when I first bought it, it was consuming just 50W then it had fault and Foauni took in for repair. That was how it came back and started using 70W. Even with that, that is still very energy effecienct because inverter Fridge-freezer does not run 24hours. It rests when your fridge temperature gets to a level. I calculated mine and discovered it only runs for 14hours a day. So that brings down the wattage of the fridge-freezer to 43W. So get an inverter fridge-freezer if you must run them 24hours. Dont go above 300L though. The bigger the fridge, the more watt. Third. Your 65 inch TCL should be used only during the day. Use your 32inch at night. Change your bulbs to AKT 5w bulbs. The highest should be 10w. This three suggestions will extend the hours you are getting from your battery. It you cant do without those appliances, then it is time to add more batteries to your battery Good evening boss. Please your 320L inverter freezer takes how many hours to freeze from scratch. Also during the day, how hours did you use to put it on. And What's is maximum power(watts of the freezer incase of surge) |

A unit of energy equivalent to one watt of power expended for one hour of time. It is commonly used in electrical applications to measure the amount of work performed or generated by household appliances and other electrical devices. Power companies typically charge for electrical energy by the kilowatt-hour (kWh), which is equal to 1,000 watt-hours thanks |

Thanks adrusa: NEPA light is the best way to charge batteries. The charge current is even and consistently high. Batteries can enjoy the full phases of charges with NEPA. However, your NEPA credit will be going wella. While it is better to use NEPA, it is more expensive. But using NEPA will not damage your batteries. |

I called their customer care yesterday, and the guy that attended to me asked me some questions to confirm I am the owner of the account, after, that he said my account will be open back before the end of yesterday. Till now I still don't have access to my account, I have called them more than 20 times, they keep saying I should have patience.
Please guys what can I do, I am thinking of going to Twitter and tag them, but I don't know any other organizations or individuals that I can tag along to hasten the process.
