I believe the non-negotiable requirement that states requiring bailout was expected to endorse and implement already address some of these issues on transparency.

Trust me, the government has innovative ideas and true intention which if and when fully implemented will give us the expected dividends of democracy and good governance that we yearn for.

Of course they need to do more whilst resisting attempts to rest on their laurels

Now you know why things are stagnant as well as the country being ridiculously underdeveloped despite her wealth. It's simply the sole reason why so many voted the IB back to Otuoke.

You need to understand the challenges we face as a nation to appreciate the enormity of tasks ahead of any sincere government. Only fools will expect miracle and yes APC might have oversold on their promises which in all honesty was simply politics.

I still believe we are on the right path especially with the positive engagement by those (The youth) that will push the agenda forward for years to come
If we could all clamor for same level of publication witnessed at the center for all states of the federation, you will know that all this billions of Naira padding is still a child play compare to the HIGH LEVEL PADDING, and contracts inflation within the states.

It's high time all the 36 states in Nigeria published their full year budget, line by line.

BusinessRe: Monetary Policy Committee Raises MPR To 14% by Firefire(m): 8:52am On Jul 27, 2016
cecegorz:
Nice one bro.
The YoY analysis puts the super increasing inflation into proper tangent.
Looking at just the June headline of 16.% looks mild, in as much as i know it's a conservative figure.

I can imagine with 14% MPR, by the time banks adjust lending rates upwards, many more borrowing businesses will just DIE for failure to meet up with their debt obligations.

This is really the time for people to tighten their belt, it's gonna be a long long rough ride ahead...
Thank you sir.

Unfortunately, we Nigerians are not addressing the issue, we are busy raising accusation and counter accusation for and against.

The real suffering and impact of this hyperinflation is real within the economy, Nigerians are suffering with no hope in sight, while the elites are busy padding budget and stacking their loots in foreign accounts.

Tougher days ahead...

May God deliver Nigeria.

Shalom!

Mo, I have always maintained that our problem in Nigeria knows no party, it cuts across board, my pain is the way some people are singing praises of these professional looters as progressives.

Nothing like progressive... APC = PDP, same looting pattern, same ideology of enslaving Nigerians, different political party.

These guys dont know how to gamble at all...... grin

Trading the naira has become the only profitable business with a lot of large players favouring the odds against the naira. Obviously they have their facts, but at some point it has become a open party where the lines have been blurred.

Unfortunately i think inflation at 16% is still not real, on the street it feels more like 20% plus. nothing has changed this market.
This is no longer an inflation but hyperinflation. => 87.3% increase within 1 Yr ?. embarassed

The highest priority now is the sharing of the loots among APC states as done by the past administration.

PoliticsRe: APC Governors Resolve To Seek Ekweremadu’s Removal As They Meet With Buhari by Firefire(m): 6:13am On Jul 27, 2016
Our correspondent further learnt that Buhari at the meeting approved the release of N2bn each to all APC states. .

Please what is the fund meant for?

Another source, who attended the meeting, said the decision was based on what happened during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

“That issue was brought to the President’s attention and he has ordered the release of N2bn each to the APC states that did not benefit during Jonathan’s administration,” the source said.

Following after the clueless and alleged IB footsteps... Baba continue.

To further cushion the effects of the downturn in economy on the states, Buhari was also said to have, during the meeting, approved that 50 per cent of money spent by states on federal roads be released to them.

/

When and how could states struggling to pay salaries and wages be able to maintain federal roads in this economic conditions?

Where are the evidence(s) to proof that the roads were maintained ?

If this is NOT corruption, what is it? And instead of Nigerians to address this issue they are busy ranting and typing IPODs around the cyberspace. I weep for the future of this country. cry cry

Corruption in high places.

I recommend death by either hanging or firing squad for the thieves.

PoliticsRe: NASS Padded 2016 Budget With N481bn - Vanguard by Firefire(m):
What do you think should be the punishment for this high level fraud ?

1. Death by Hanging?

2. Death by firing squad?

3. Life Imprisonment?

4. Plea bargain ?

I support either 1 or 2.

Enough of stories, we need result. Let death by hanging be the wages for any corrupt Nigerians.
