Many lies more than the reality. Unfortunately many sad situation are not been reported. Our military that are supposed to defend Nigeria
territory from outside aggressors are been killed fighting self-inflicted war.
- Media Boko Haram
- Political Boko Haram cutting across all political party in Nigeria
- Political killings tagged book haram
- Jobless youth killing but tagged book haram
- Armed robbers looting in the north tagged boko haram

Northern elders are failing in their responsibility to protect their towns, villages, social amenities, infrastructural facilities and ultimately the life of the people they rule over as emirs and chiefs.
Yoruba Land I know can never allow this type of unending useless killing and expect the government to come support them without resulting to self-help. (Self-Help in whatever form, including consulting the oracles and invoking the dead spirit)
If the northern rulers are not pained by all this self-destruction then they are benefitting greatly from the carnage. "The frog never runs in daylight for nothing." /

psucc: The Nigerian Army on Friday raised alarm over plans by “some highly-placed individuals” in the North East, particularly Borno State, to sabotage military operations in the region. A statement by the army spokesman, Sani Usman, said the elite were bent on having the activities of the Boko Haram terrorists prolonged for their selfish interests. Mr. Usman, a colonel, did not however state in clear terms the means through which the notable individuals were undermining the war against terrorism or how they would benefit from the insurgency when prolonged. “The Nigerian Army wishes to inform the public and send a very strong and serious final warning to some prominent individuals and political groups who hailed from Borno State in particular and North East generally, that there is information of plans by some highly placed individuals and political groups to undermine and scuttle the fight against terrorism and insurgency in this country. “The unscrupulous individuals and their cohorts were determined to reverse the gains made and scuttle our efforts of achieving the Presidential directive to defeat Boko Haram terrorists within 3 months. They are enlisting the services of some Non-Governmental Organizations in this grand design. “It has come to our knowledge that they were employing every means to see that the operation does not succeed in order for them to continue to enjoy certain benefits. “It has been revealed that they are employing the services of marabouts and other unethical means in order to frustrate our efforts and the operations in addition to campaign of calumny. “We are aware of their clandestine meetings and other diabolical efforts to achieve their nefarious aims. This would not be tolerated. “Therefore, such individuals and groups should be warned in unmistakable terms that anyone found would be dealt with accordingly. “People should place the interest of the nation above any personal gain or ambition. The continued lost of lives and property in this country through terrorists activities does not one any good,” the army spokesman sa

Na today ? Former President Goodluck Jonathan told the elders of Borno State that the choice of getting the soldiers off the streets of Maiduguri is entirely theirs as he was willing to withdraw them immediately. However, to achieve this, the elders will enter a commitment with the Federal Government that they should be held accountable for any killing in the state.
Responding to requests for the withdrawal of the Joint Task Force from the state , at a Town Hall meeting in Maiduguri, on Friday, the president said he was dissatisfied with the appeal of the people without due consideration to the security situation in the state. He said, “I am not impressed with the way some spoke especially on the issue of bunkers. Who made this? No one would be interested in building this and bringing soldiers to Maiduguri.” GEJ declared that he would not withdraw the Joint Task Force (JTF) Operation Restore Order from Borno State, as requested. Rather, he charged the elders to bring out the Boko Haram men and stop playing to the gallery over the security challenges in the area. Both Prof Nur Alkali, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state chairman, Alhaji Baba Basharu, had re-echoed the position of the Borno Elders’ Forum for the Federal Government to withdraw JTF troops and remove roadblocks and other security checks in the troubled state, alleging excesses in the operation of the troops and hardship of residents, as reasons for their calls. The president asked that: “Do you think the federal government is comfortable paying the allowances of soldiers that were deployed here?” http://thenationonlineng.net/boko-haram-soldiers-will-leave-maiduguri-if-jonathan/http://sunnewsonline.com/new/boko-haram-soldiers-will-remain-in-borno-jonathan/“From what I gathered from the governor of Yobe during my visit, the problem is coming down. It is coming down in Adamawa, in Gombe, in Bauchi and in Niger. But in Borno we still have some problems so if you elders will not condemn it you will continue to suffer under the terror of Boko Haram because without peace we cannot develop Borno.” |

Truckpusher: You have a point ,honestly but I still maintain that politics of witch-hunting is bad for any democracy especially when Govt resources is being used to achieve it.This is likely to set up some negative precedent that would haunt the politicking of that country for a very long time, even as I have this belief in me too that sometimes leaders should be decisive and proactive in ensuring that some persons do not undermine their position thereby destroying their visions but there is a thin red line that shouldn't be crossed - You'll create more problems on the long run if you run with that mentality of using any means necessary to achieve it.
With the above statement I hereby declare that Jonathan was a better democrat after all. Aligned! |
Politics › Re: Bukola Saraki Is Just Like His Father...a Thief by Firefire(m): 6:40pm On Sep 25, 2015 |
healthFirst: Bukola Saraki: Just like his Father
When the elder Saraki went to the Senate in 1979, his shares with Societte Générale Bank were held in trust for him by his friend and confidant, Chief Kotoye a Lawyer and a Minister in the first Republic under Tafawa Balewa's administration.
To compete for Senate majority leadership, Dr. Saraki borrowed lots of money against the shares he placed in trust and used Chief Kotoye to stand as a guarantor for the loan.
However, when Buhari took over in 1984, and second Republic was dismantled, Saraki came back for his shares.
Chief Kotoye asked for the refund of the loan before the shares could be released to him, Dr. Olusola Saraki went to town, that Chief Kotoye a Lawyer wanted to steal his bank from him.
It became a court case between 1985/86, Saraki was very powerful with the press, somehow, Chief Kotoye was viewed negatively, to clear his name, Kotoye brought witnesses from France to testify in court.
Somehow, a day to the appearance of the witnesses in court one of the white French guys was killed, by suspected hired killers in front of the hotel in Lagos, the other one Mr. Burdillion escaped back to France, he never returned to clear Kotoye of the deal between the two former original owners of the bank.
I believe Kotoye lost the bank and all his own shares to Saraki and ended in deep debt and financial crises after.
The children of Saraki inherited everything, but like everything in life it must end. Société Generalle Bank was destroyed, it went under in the same way Elder Saraki did to his friend and confidant Chief Kotoye, but in the case of the younger Saraki the law will take care of everything.
And the sin of the elder Saraki may be revisited.
Chief Kotoye in Lagos at his Ikoyi office in 2011 shared his views on the case.
Stealing or greed is in the genes of all perpetrators , it could be a pass down generation in DNA., or where did you think Saraki got it from?
Where? Our children are watching us, we are the mirror for them, if we are committing crimes, they will do it, lay good example for your children, otherwise they will be worst than you.
You may wish to read " Ogun State Policy of Manipulation since 1976" and "The Vultures and the Vulnerable " for details of that Dr. Olusola
Saraki Vs. Kotoye over the ownership of the bank. Thank God Kotoye is still alive. Only two people can rain curses on any individual according to the holy book, your parent and your spiritual leader.
Dr Saraki disgraced his father politically at the tail end of elder Saraki's life, and he too is currently facing the same or much more political disgrace than the one he inflicted on his father.#History is @ work http://www.nigeria-law.org/N.A.B%20Kotoye%20V%20Mrs%20F.M.%20Saraki%20&%20Anr.htm

The Second Republic Senate Leader, late Dr. Olusola Saraki and his erstwhile friend, late Chief Nathaniel Kotoye had pitted against each other at a Lagos High Court over disagreement on the share holding structure in the Societe Generale Bank. FRANCIS FAMOROTI, Ag. Head, Judiciary recalls the divergent issues between the parties. Second Republic politician, Dr. Olusola Saraki and Chief Nathaniel Kotoye, were close friends. Their friendship began several years ago and it blossomed to an extent that they became business partners and associates. They were also co-directors of the defunct Societe Generale Bank (Nigeria) Limited and they purportedly held substantial shares in trust for each other. However, some years later, their relationship went sour and it affected their business interests. The boardroom crisis between them became an issue brought to the court for judicial determination.Justice Adolphus Godwin Karibi-Whyte delivered the lead judgement in December 1992. The justice declared that all the issues raised had been resolved against Saraki and his wife and so,’’ the appeal fails and is hereby dismissed.’’ The case made the two friends to part ways and became enemies. The boardroom crisis over shareholding dispute between them signaled the beginning of what made SGN a failed bank and probably led to its collapse. http://nationalmirroronline.net/new/how-boardroom-crisis-tore-saraki-kotoye-apart/

Truckpusher: They knew the level of poverty that is persistent in the land.
They used the grinding poverty to manipulate the people and this is one reason you'll never see the elites and the policy makers make policies that would eradicate poverty in this country , but they will keep the system the way it is to enable them have a firm grip on what happens and control the people the way they want.
Poverty is man-made and it is unfortunate that the APC have used effect that poverty has on poverty stricken society to win an election and instead of improving the people's lot they are busy churning out more propaganda and lies for people like Gbawe to spread after collecting his peanuts while waiting to grow in the business and get his own lion share.
Why would a man in his right frame of mind defend the indefensible if he is not being paid for it. As for demdem,I will ignore him but destiny has date between both of us and that day will surely come. Chief Gbawe is a political gladiator with full benefits and allowances to defend the 1 percent holding the remaining 99 percent to ransom under heavy yoke of Taxes, bad road, unavailable social and infrastructural facilities but singing to high heavens with bogus pictures to show what is not in existence. If not, why has Gbawe not written an epistle to challenge the bad leadership of Ambode ? Why is he yet to write against the manner of enslavement in Lagos where Bola Tinubu fix all elective posts from his bedroom in Ikoyi? If your education cannot see slavery and enslavement of the people by one single man, who fix all his family members up without recourse for rule of law and fairness, then hope looks dim for the generation. |

2) Do you think he will not be christened a progressive again once he agrees to their AUTOCRATIC demands that are unrelated to your own stated objective above?
What is the LESSER evil here I see your points. I think we should allow Saraki to pay for his past sins against PDP and GEJ. Like I used to say... APC are power mongers, they have no good plans but to grab power by all means. If APC can send Dele Belgore under the truck for Bukola Saraki in Kwara and hand over the party structure to him and same antics was applied in all PDP states where rebels and rebellion occurred. I think we should allow the party to destroy themselves without any interference.
