This government is fraudulent... Subsidy payment is now done in two ways in Nigeria under Buhari / APC government of fraud and propaganda. Government subsidize fuel at N87/L Nigerians pays the remaining subsidy between the official pump price of N87L and N107/L. Buhari why ? APC why ?

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is ready to forgo his immunity and face EFCC any time? Where is the EFCC? Time to ACT is NOW! No hiding place for treasury looters. PMB time to swing into actions, enough of fruitless promises. |
August 12, 2015 : Femi Makinde The Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has said he is not afraid of being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The governor, who said this in response to the petition written against him by Mr. Yinka Odumakin to the EFCC, described the efforts of those who he called blackmailers as exercises in futility. The governor’s response was contained in a statement made available to our correspondent by his media aide, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, on Tuesday. Aregbesola said he had been commended by the ICPC for the prudent manner he was managing the resources of the state. The statement partly read, “Aregbesola has a record that will be hard to beat in public finance especially given the magnitude of the works done in relation to the resources that are available to the state. “Please, let them ask the ICPC when they take their petition there next time for a copy of a letter by the anti-graft body written to Governor Aregbesola last year which formed the basis of the agency’s resolve to have Governor Aregbesola as the lead speaker at its lecture in 2014. “Perhaps, that will further confirm why their efforts to blackmail this governor are exercises in futility.” Odumakin, who is an indigene of Osun State but based in Lagos State, is one of the brains behind the Osun Stakeholders’ Summit which was allegedly prevented from holding in Osogbo, the state capital. He accused the governor of massive corruption and financial recklessness which according to him had plunged the state into a financial mess. He stated that the state and its citizens had been turned into objects of ridicule due to the alleged recklessness of the Aregbesola administration. He said in the petition, “In addition, the state is littered with abandoned projects even though loans were secured by this administration to execute them. Today, our dear state has become the embodiment of lack, poverty, purposelessness and wickedness.” Lalasticlala http://www.punchng.com/news/im-not-afraid-of-efcc-says-aregbesola/

“As we speak to you, we cannot trace the proceeds that emanated from all the government’s transactions that that took place in Rivers State.” “Can you imagine that between December 1 and 8, 2014, with one address – 25 Trans-Amadi Road, Port Harcourt, over N21bn of Rivers funds were transferred? We are asking, where did these funds go?” |
August 12, 2015 : Chukwudi Akasike THE Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State on Tuesday insisted that President Muhammadu Buhari must investigate the immediate past governor of the state, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, over allegations of corruption. This is just as the party petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, detailing alleged corrupt practices that took place under Amaechi The PDP Deputy Publicity Secretary in Rivers, Mr. Samuel Nwanosike, said since President Buhari had promised to maintain a zero tolerance for corruption, he should not be silent on how the past administration in Rivers managed the affairs of the state. Nwanosike, who spoke with journalists in Port Harcourt, urged the President not to spare anyone found culpable, adding that proceeds from some of the past transactions in the state could not be traced. Reacting to statements credited to some members of the All Progressives Congress on the state of Rivers economy, Nwanosike lamented that the current administration in the state had to borrow to pay salary arrears, which the Amaechi administration failed to pay. He dismissed the claims that some PDP members in the state were planning to defect to the APC, describing it as laughable. According to Nwanosike, “Since the President of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, has told the world that he is a man with zero tolerance for corruption, we, the people of Rivers, are asking that there should be no sacred cow. We are saying that corruption in Rivers State should be investigated and justice should be done. “As we speak to you, we cannot trace the proceeds that emanated from all the government’s transactions that that took place in Rivers State.” The PDP chieftain explained that a petition had been sent to the EFCC over the alleged fraudulent transactions involving the immediate past administration in the state between December 1 and 8, 2014. He said, “Can you imagine that between December 1 and 8, 2014, with one address – 25 Trans-Amadi Road, Port Harcourt, over N21bn of Rivers funds were transferred? We are asking, where did these funds go?” On the claim by the APC governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, that some PDP members in the state were planning to defect to the APC, Nwanosike challenged him (Peterside) to mention the names of such PDP members. In his reaction, however, a former aide to Amaechi, Chief Tony Okocha, said Amaechi had never been afraid of probe, adding that the ex-governor was transparent in all he did for the people of the state. Okocha explained that the PDP in the state was only interested in soiling the good name of the former governor and maintained that the party would not achieve such an aim. APC WHY? BUHARI WHY? LIE MOHAMED WHY ? RIP to the dead. |
First on this list is Africa. There are many different theories as to the origin of Africa’s name. After the Romans defeated Carthage (which is in modern-day Tunisia in Northern Africa) in the third Punic War, they called their new province “Africa.” The most popular theory as to the origin of the name is that it was named for a native tribe there—the Afri, with “Africa” then being the feminine form of “Africus”, literally meaning “land of the Afri”. An alternate theory, which has a hole in it due to when the name was first used, is that it comes from the Phoenician word “afar” which means “dust.” Put together with the Latin suffix –ica, sometimes used to denote “land”, the name could mean “a land of dust.” Given Africa’s hot, desert-like climate in the north, which is where the Romans claimed their province, the Phoenician root is considered by many to be a plausible alternative to the “Afri tribe” theory, for the origin of Africa’s name http://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2013/05/the-origin-of-the-names-of-the-continents/ |
