Mo Salah is more deserving of the nominations. The guy is a genius. Reminds of Messi sometimes. I don't want to play the African origin card but these things do play a significant role.
That being said, Barca and Madrid are a significant clubs. Playing for these teams always put you in a better position to win individual awards.
