Bespoke event centre, Lekki lagos was temporarily brought to a standstill last Sunday night when it played host to over 1000 guests for this year’s edition of the prestigious Face of Nigeria beauty pageant event.

The fashion event attracted notable personalities,socialites and actors who came out to witness the 5th edition of the annual pageant event themed "The independent woman".

The event was laced with music,dance and professional displays. Expectedly, the 30 contestants took time out to flaunt their fabulous figures, curves and good looks on the runway.

At the end of the show,two main winners were crowned: Miss Enugu
Linda Onuora and Miss Abuja
Joy Nguma. They got a Lexus Es 350 and Toyota Corolla Car plus other cash prizes respectively.

Other third winner, Miss Benue, Chika Nwachukwu also got a brand new Toyota Prado.

Reigning Miss influential Queen Nigeria, Fabian Cindy have been giving life and hope to the less privileged around her community.

Just recently, she carried out yet another humanitarian project in Community Secondary School (CSS),Egbema, River State where she educate the young girls on the ill of premarital sexual activities and the need to give their life a better meaning and purpose.

The students were all excited to see the Queen in their school as it marked the first time a beauty queen will carry out a project in the school. She also advised them to look far beyond their limitations as they can always achieve anything they ever want in life through perseverance and interrupted hard work.

The Queen shared customized books and other reading materials to encourage learning. The principal and other staffs of the school showed deep appreciation for the humanitarian visit.

Queen Cindy had also promised to always visit some other time even after her reign as a royalty. The project is one of the core value the pageant initiate to influence lives and improve the standard of living for the less privileged in the society.

Mr Nelson Ewnerem became the fifth Mr. Nigeria after defeating nineteen other contestants to clinch the prestigious award.

Mrs Emelda Ezinne Remi was crowned Mrs Nigeria 2018 and will be representing Nigeria at the world pageant of Mrs Universe holding in the Philippines from 4th to 11th December, 2018.

The peak of the event was the coronation of the new queen, the judges had a tough decision to make because all the women were beautiful and had great humanitarian cause.

Reigning Queen of Aso Nigeria,Queen Kome Igho and Empress Njamah (Nollywood Actress / founder Empress Njamah Foundation) recently stormed Jabi community in Abuja to carry out a Medical outreach on 2018 world Polio Day.

The team in company of some doctors and nurses gave treatment and medication to patients who have one illness or the other.

The Queen and Nollywood Actress later visited LEA Junior Secondary school Jabi to sensitize the student on keeping high personal hygiene and to be a role model in the society. Queen Kome also shared exercise books and other reading materials to the students.

Queen Kome Igho emerged Queen of Aso Nigeria 2018 on Sunday 22nd July 2018 at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel and Towers Abuja . She will also be representing Nigeria at Miss Cosmo World Beauty Pageant 2018 in Malaysia in December.

According to the pageant’s organisers, the decision to make the form free is to allow the best Contestant emerge with restraint not placed on registration fee

“In a bid to make this year’s edition an all-inclusive one” and “to prevent financial restraints on the part of young ladies who are truly deserving of the ultimate title”.

In a statement released online, the organisers said:

“The competition is open to young ladies within the 18-25 age bracket who possess exemplary leadership qualities and can align excellently with the organisation’s mission to empower women beyond beauty.

“This year’s competition will not be business as usual as the winner will not be selected based on physical attributes alone but factors such as intellectual prowess, ability to function effectively within the six core targets.”

Ex beauty queen,Ezinne Akudo, Miss Nigeria 2013 has been appointed the creative director of the pageant.

She also noted on the core value that the pageant is looking for,she said: “We are committed to finding a young lady who defies the stereotypical perception of beauty queens as just superficial.

“Also, Miss Nigeria 2018 must embody all the attributes of a strong female leader. She must be beautiful, socially conscious and committed to positively influencing young women across the country and continent.” she added.

The winner of the pageant will be awarded N3 million, a luxury apartment and an automobile.

Be between the ages of 18 and 25 years old
Must Be a citizens citizen of Nigeria
Must boost of a good health condition and character.
Not necessarily married, mothers or pregnant
Should be able to speak fluent English

Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi was on Monday night declared the winner of the All Progressives Grand Alliance primary election for House of Representatives Idemili North & South Federal Constituency, Anambra State.

Ibezi won the contest with a total of 136 votes to defeat Messrs Theodore Okonkwo and Ebele Onyekwelu who shared 1 vote each.

Announcing the results, the returning officer, Mr Chinedu Nwabueze, expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed in various ways to the success of the electoral process.

“I sincerely appreciate all security personnel for their commitment in maintaining law and order all through the process of this election. I also thank all aspirants, delegates and officials for conducting themselves properly.

“With the power vested in me as returning officer, I hereby declare Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi the winner and flag bearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Idemili North and South Federal Constituency for the 2019 House of Representatives election”, he said.

Earlier in the process, two of the aspirants, Theodore Okonkwo and Ebele Onyekwelu who delayed the election for hours due to their late arrival, announced their withdrawal from the process, and each of them refusing to talk to the press left the Idemili North LGA headquarters where the election was held.

The exercise which was largely peaceful, hitch-free and transparent had over 139 delegates drawn from the 24 wards of Idemili North and South local government areas in Anambra state.

Speaking to the press after the election, Ibezi applauded the National Working Committee of the party for planning a free, fair and credible election. He also thanked the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, the National Party Chairman, Victor Oye and other party stakeholders for ensuring that internal democracy is maintained in the party.

"I am overwhelmed with joy by the overflowing love and support shown to me by members of our great party by electing me as the party flag bearer for House of Representatives, Idemili North and South Federal Constituency". Ibezi said.

No fewer than 150 secondary pupils gathered last Wednesday at the Hall of New Era secondary school in surulere,Lagos State to participate in a spelling competition organised by Miss Grand Nigeria, Princess Agunbiade.

According to her, the competition is aimed at developing the innate skills of the students in the state, creating good reading habits and helping them improve their spelling skills, their vocabulary and develop correct English usage.

Mariam Salami from Gbaja Girls Junior High School and Taiwo Akinniliba from New Era Girls Senior High School both went home with brand new laptops, school bags, shopping vouchers and customized T-shirts as they emerged as the top winners.

While their 1st runner ups Victory Orji from Stadium Junior High School and Temitope Omoniyi from Onitolo Senior High School both went home with tablets, school bags, shopping vouchers, customized T-shirts and writing materials.

The Hosts for the event Tomike Alayande and Beddie Rodrigo in their closing remark thanked the organizer and also noted that the competition will, over the years, help boost the students’ confidence, create a healthy rivalry among the students and draw out their intellectual capabilities.

5 students of Primary and post Primary Schools in Railway line/Whitesand, Badia East, Ijora Lagos have received a 3 years scholarship from Jennifer Okorie Foundation.


This is part of the NGO's goals to help young Africans actualise their goals through basic education in line with the SDG goals.

Destiny Tunde Joel, Jennifer Benjamin, Stanley Ogboro, Akinbami Favour, and Nifemi Adewale were the recipients of the scholarship.


The foundation presented the scholarship award to them after a detailed scrutiny of their intelligence and financial need during the Foundation's 'Becoming You Outreach' in Lagos.


The scholarship would see the tuition of these students provided for by the Foundation for the next three years.

Jennifer Okorie Foundation led by her founder and CEO, Jennifer Okorie did not stop at the scholarship presentation, as they gave out over 100 school bags, 50 maths set, 500 pencils, 1000 Exercise books, 500 erasers, 500 sharpener and other Education materials to students in the suburb area of Railway line/Whitesand, Badia East, Ijora Lagos.


The Foundation also fed over 500 kids on the streets of Railway line/Whitesand, Badia East, Ijora During the just concluded 'Becoming You' outreach in Lagos.

Becoming You, an educational project of the foundation was unveiled in March, and is expected to cut across all the geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

Most beautiful girl in Nigeria(MBGN) 2018 held on Friday, 21st at the Prestigious Gabriel Okara Cultural Center Yenogoa, Bayelsa state was a huge success.

This year's Edition had 37 delegates competing for the coveted crown. Miss imo, Anita Ukah got the edge and was crowned the winner Most beautiful girl in Nigeria 2018.
