moving to a country based on what you are told (probably by people who havent left the country, telling you want you want to hear, to extort cash from you) is not a good idea, and if things don't go well as you've been told, then you are in for a big mess. Firstly, you cant extend a visiting visa, and you cant work with it. If you overstayed, then you've just joined 1000's of your kind who regrets each day of their existence, as their life waste away in their very eyes. Be warned.

frankly speaking, l like your contribution,that is a good advice for those who want hear but what of schooling in Sweden.

How did you get the visa in the first place , you don't have plans before applying for visa?
Well, the best option for you since you have nobody over there is to seek asylum if you have genuine reason for one. That will buy you time like 2ys and if you are fortunate and have a good reason and proof, you claim could be accepted and you become a refugee.
You need to research on how to do that on your own.

.thanks for your good advice,l am a graduate and l had want to do my PhD over there but the man that want help said that he can only help me doing visiting visa which at initial stage l refuse but later confused me .so l told him to do it without give him kobo until l finish my research.so pls lf l want to go through school which assistant u can render ....

I will choose this English speaking countries over the non English speaking countries mentioned above: USA, Canada, New Zealand, Austrialia, UK and Ireland.

Those non English speaking mentioned above, no matter your education you will still end up doing menial jobs. I met 2 people in Finland with Master degree from a Finnish school who are still doing cleaning and paper delivery, Except you study I.T related course.

I'm an Afroswede, born and raised in Sweden. Life in sweden is okay, but not much more than that. Its true there is some sense of security system or "safety net" that prevents people to fall below a sertain standard of living. However this welfare system is not what it used to be and the general politics in this century are moving more and more towards lower taxes and a free market so the redistributing of wealth and founding of social institutions for everybody such as youth centres and cheap health care are fading. Sweden still has a well developed school system which is free for all citisens but the gap between rich and poor is now widening and schools in areas with a more wealthy population tend to have better standards and resources both in forms of materials and employees.

One very important thing to be aware of in this country is that the distribution of wealt can generally be matched with a scale of etnicity, or skincolor. The darker skin you have in Sweden, the lower paid is your job. Sweden do not register its citisens etnicity so the istitutional racism is hard to prove with the help of numbers since there is almost no statistics on it, it falls below the radar. Minority goups in this society is heavily marginalised and have no prominent voice in media or in politics. The few "brown" peolpe in the parliament have gone so far by downplaying their own heritage and by pushing for "stricter laws and regulations towards immigrants".

Sweden is one of those countries where you might live for 40 years or even be born in, and still not really feel "swedish". The perceprion of "swedishness" does not include anyone that is non-white, thats why, as for examle an African, many doors will be closed. Swedes still feel that blacks, arabs, asians or latinos is not a natural part of sweden. It does not matter if your family has livd here for generations, if you are black, your swedishness will be questioned and you will never be fully accepted as swedish as much as a white person with a "swedish-sounding" name or not even as much as an immigrant that is white.

The grass is allways greener on the other side... If you come here you might find it an acceptable place to live if you master the language and manage to withstand the long dark cold winters. The nature is beautiful, the streets are much safer than UK or USA and as I said before the education system is really good and totally free. Its not easy in Sweden but its far from the worst places to live. Unfortunately the new government imposed fees for exchange students from outside EU so if you are not planning on becoming a citisen and just want to study i reccomend Germany. They still have a lot of schools with very low fees but with hight quality and you will find many masters programmes in english.

To apply for work permit in Sweden, you must have :

1) You must have an offer of employment in Sweden. Your employer must have advertised the job in Sweden and the EU/EEA and Switzerland for at least ten days before the offer of employment was made.

2)Your employer in Sweden initiates the work permit application by completing an offer of employment. Your employer needs information about your name, date of birth, citizenship, education and your e-mail address.

It is important that you have access to the e-mail address you give your employer until you have received a decision regarding your application. The Swedish Migration Agency will use this e-mail address to communicate with you throughout the application period.

3)When your employer has complete an offer of employment you will receive an e-mail with information about how to apply for a work permit.

In the application you provide information about yourself. If your family is coming with you to Sweden you apply for permits for them at the same time. You should also check that the information about your employment terms in the offer of employment corresponds with what you and your employer have agreed on.

Sweden visa is granted for just 3 months.

Required Documents

1.You must have a valid passport.
2.You should provide details about your visit
3.You need to provide evidence that you are working
4.You must be financial strong to support yourself and your family during the stay
5.You must have valid travel and medical insurance
6.Applicants from countries that require a visa to visit their family and friends in Sweden need to get an invitation letter from their family members or friends. Letter should only be in English or Swedish. Other documents that are required are:

Identity proof of the referee needs to be submitted to the Sweden embassy or consulate
in case of the reference being not a Swedish citizen, the applicants have to provide residence permit along with the referee’s passport details
7.Applicant has to provide the employment details of their guarantor
8.Applicant has to provide financial details of their guarantor.

leave them alone,i am from osun,not apc members, talkless of supporting him but to say d fact ,aregbe is better than many govs in nigeria. He has good vision for people of osun state despite the fact that we are in reccession he still manage to pay worker salary and construct good road and build everlasting stardand schools compiring to other state govs like kogi,kwara, ondo,bayelsa,nasarawa,niger and so on with token allocation after deducted monthly debt from it.
