Jimmy Causey, 46, escaped from the Lieber Correctional Institution in Ridgeville, South Carolina, on Tuesday.

He went on the run for three days before he was captured in Texas on Friday with guns and more than $47,000 in cash.

Causey appeared to have coordinated the breakout using the smuggled mobile phone and then used the tools to cut through fences, state Department of Corrections Director Bryan Stirling said.

The inmate, who is serving a life sentence for kidnapping, armed robbery and other charges, also left a makeshift dummy in his bed to deceive prison guards in the Alcatraz-style escape bid.

"We believe that a drone was used to fly in the tools that allowed him to escape," Stirling said at a news conference.

Texas Rangers captured the inmate at an Austin, Texas, motel early on Friday.

He had a handgun, a shotgun, ammunition, four cell phones and more than $47,000 in cash, state Law Enforcement Division Chief Mark Keel said.

It was Causey's second prison escape. In 2005, he and a fellow inmate escaped from another prison and were captured days later, Columbia television station WIS reported.

Aisha Buhari, wife of Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has revealed the personality behind the misleading photographs of her husband in London which surfaced on the internet over the weekend.

She said a Nigerian UK-based socialite and blogger named Aisha Alubankudi circulated the photographs.

Mrs. Buhari said that although the photographs were authentic and belonged to the blogger, they were however, not recent images.

She disclosed this to DAILY POST in a brief chat, through her spokesman, Sulaiman Haruna.

“The picture did not emanate from us. They belonged to her (Alubankudi) and she has responded (to appropriate authorities),” Haruna said.

DAILY POST also gathered that Aisha Alubankudi was the woman standing between President Buhari and the Minister of Solid Minerals, Kayode Fayemi, in the circulated photographs

It could be recalled that Mrs Buhari ​had jetted out to London last week to visit her ailing husband. and with Alubankudi’s release of the images, unsuspecting Nigerians were misled into thinking that President Buhari was relatively hale and hearty.

Buhari has spent 65 days in London on a second medical vacation this year.

UNILAG’s management (University of Lagos), has debunked rumors of plans to review upwards the fees being paid by students, adding that tuition fee for students is free. The management of the Nigerian University, further disclosed that students are however expected to pay obligatory fees.

The Press Statement released by the Deputy Registrar of the UNILAG, reads;

“Contrary to the news making the rounds on print, electronic and social media that the University of Lagos has increased its tuition, the university wishes to inform its students, their parents/guardians and the general public that the statement is not true and it is a complete distortion of facts. We want to emphasize here that tuition is free in the University of Lagos. Fresh and returning students are only charged obligatory fees depending on their status’’.
