U shuld take note dat wen publishing about som1's private life, think not about d kudos or achievements alone, but consider d psycological n emotional effect on d people in question. Other than that, great job!
Before vying for political positions, you should realise this, your privacy is pretty much signed off

if you have nothing to hide, put your cards on the table from the beginning, nigerians are not exactly the type of people that will question the number of kids you have

and if you have nothing to hide declare your assests as many times as possible, tongue

CareerRe: Logistics Or Supply Chain Management by Fiver:
fescope: @Fiver

Just a pointer, either a university calls it purchasing and Supply Chain Management or Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Operations and Supply Chain Management, I want you to know Supply Chain Management is Supply Chain Management. All you need to worry about is the modules these various universities offer on the course. For instance, I studied international supply chain & logistics management, had finance as one of my core modules, but I enjoyed it because I have an accounting background. on the contrary, a lot of guys with engineering background struggled and had to change their courses to IT for supply chain management which was more inclined to what they did for BSc. Besides it was easy for them to change their course because we all did the same modules except for one or two. Don't get me wrong, the best guy in finance in my class was actually an engineer with BAE systems. Its all about understanding your capabilities so that you can come out tops. I did not have operations management as my course title, yet we ran two distinct operation management modules. In short, the modules is all that matters.

The modules I did were as follows:

Operations management, Strategic operations management, supply chain management, managing people & Organisation, Information management (quantitative data analysis & information systems), Logistics, strategic outsourcing, International logistics and finance for SCM.
these are my options,

I have just checked the modules are pretty much the same, and they both offer the SAP option i wanted i might be able to get away with doing more; if my previous module in undergraduate level [BEng Engineering and Business Management] can be considered, Accounting for Engineers

Thanks, im trying to analyse the economy from afar, though I have never worked in it,I do understand there's a big FMCG segment, so something to key into these afterwards or something with broad enough scope to get into other segment

I want to do my NYSC this oct/nov then either return to start my course with this sept group or just start properly in January '13

Hi people im thinking of returning to nigeria in the near future, but im considering my option in the manufacturing sector

Which course would be more suitable for the economy

Msc Purchasing & Supply chain Management

Msc Operations and Supply Chain Management

As much as i want to do the second one, I am working at the moment, hence time restricted for a full time course
the first one is available part time over two years and part time, evening

tanimola22: Bros/Sis, what you are about doing is great. However, you need to be careful. I am very sure you have done your eventuality/risk analysis, so I will not start boring you with baseless stories. All I can say is that you should try to further stress-test your analysis.

All the best!

T22.
thank you, I funny thing is I have only been thinking recently of moving if i can get a year off work, I don't know how I will do that, but im developing another plan, i have 2 friends working in the HR department who might be able to hook me up with regular temp jobs to get back into the system if i run back with tails between my legs

I notice most job vacancies in Nigeria are mainly Engineering or Business, I need some short courses i can do before year end that can boost my chances even though i'm focusing on personal networks for work .jobs are also drying up in naija and the employment process is very long but ive always got an exit option for when the adventure wears off

I want to move to Nigeria for a brief period of maybe 2-3years the problem is my course is not really specific
Engineering with management and i had 2.2 that in Nigeria is not much sort after since they look at degrees alot and grade
another thing is my work experience of over 2 years- one year general admin like a graduate scheme which ended since funds dried up with the recession
and 2nd year work experience so far logistics support officer with the NHS, looking at the Nigerian scene chances are i will apply for entry level and brush up on maths/statistic tests to get an interviewed

I am just tired of the general feeling now with the state of the economy and general atmosphere- no growth meaning no/scarce opportunities
to put it another way im bored need to grow or new experience new environment now im single n free
