Engineers in the house please assist on this.. I was on my surface pro 2 and it went off suddenly. Tried to get it back on all to no avail, then I connected the charger and it came on , now I noticed it only comes on when connected to a power supply even when the battery is at 99% . What could be the problem and how do I rectify it??

There’s need to do some hardware troubleshooting on the device to ascertain the cause and fix. It’s possible the battery connector pulled out or not contacting properly.

Good evening I am having issues with my system, I reset my system and remove everything to install back the window from local and since then I couldn't access the front interface again my system doesn't load again it's just flicking and blinking white and black, please any solution to it? The system runs on window 11,

Thank you my brother. I later opened the bonnet I found out it's the gear oil. The pipe that takes the oil to the gear was soked with the gear oil. Please what's the possible solution to this? I'm a novice when it comes to car

Do you mean the pipe that supply oil to power steering pump because gear oil enters directly to the gear box. If that is the case, kindly take the car to your mechanic let them check if the pipe is broken and be sure there’s enough oil for the power steering. Another alternative is to use fuel to clean the pipe well and check if there’s oil leakage afterwards. Probably the person that top the power steering oil allowed it to spill causing the dropping.

I bought a Nigerian used Camry 2000 (2.2) yesterday but this morning I noticed some oil on the ground where I packed it. The car drives fine with the AC on and chilling while test driving it yesterday. A mechanic also confirmed.

Your mechanic needs to replace the oil seal. So let him know the position the oil is dropping from to enable him know the particular oil seal that needs replacement. There’s one beside the timing belt that if it’s leaking it will cause your timing to slake and prom to cutting.

The rings will become weak with time, resulting to smoke and oil shortage. You can’t compare both oil treatment. Generally low quality oil harm the engine but using a good product will make the engine to last long.

Mobil and Total remains the best oil. Don’t endanger your engine in this harsh economy. You can’t compare the both because Mobil is far better than the other oil so use Mobil without minding the cost. Engine is expensive now.

Does Toyota Camry 2001 XLE version have any disadvantage over LE and CE? Or is it all advantages and no disadvantage?? The XLE is 4 plug.

The XLE version has leather on the seats and door mouth with moon roof for Canada or US spec. It also comes with an alloy rim which differentiates it from CE that is normal wheel without the above mentioned features.

There’s no disadvantage among them.

The major issue with the car is timing belt. If you buy the one that is still having follow come timing belt it will last longer. Anytime it cuts kindly go for tokunbo belt which is very expensive and reliable rather than the new ones that can slake and cut within 2 months of usage.

Most user have spare timing belt on the boot.

In case your money reach Corolla 2004, I advise you go for it than Camry 2001.

Get your mechanic to check your spark plugs firing one after the day and replace accordingly with small pin tokunbo plugs. Also, your fuel filter may need to be flushed. Afterwards buy injector cleaner next time you want to refuel to clear carbon.

It's normal, modern cars require that an engine run at a range of temperature to ensure smooth, efficient running. To achieve this, at cold start up the engine is ran at higher RPM for some seconds at open loop, as the temperature rises close towards the desired range, the RPM reduces.

Exactly, you are right. It shows the engine is in good condition with high compression.

I have a 2005 avensis wagon with 1AZ engine (down nozzle) with an abnormally high fuel consumption. I use 30k fuel from Benin to warri now. It has a meter on the dashboard that indicates fuel consumption per 100km.formerly it use to be between 7.5-9 liter per 100km. But now it reads as high as 16 - 17 liter per 100km. I have done several computer scan which makes me doubt the ability of the machines and operators. Changed plugs, coil, air flow, injector head etc.. please anyone here has experienced such? If so what caused it and how and where did u fix it. Tnks for your help in anticipation

There’s need to bring down your exhaust completely to check for leakages including the catalyst. If check engine light is showing on the dashboard it’s possible your catalyst has been tampered or having a leakage. Moreover, replacing plugs do not completely resolve issues because most new plugs are not even original that’s why it’s advisable to buy belgium small pin plugs. You can also try using injector cleaner the next time you buy fuel to clear carbon.

Car fault : high rpm of about 1600 always on cold start or after a long parking rest... It will take about 10 to 15 mins to drop to 800/900 every time car has rested for long hours.

It is normal for the engine to run at a higher-than-normal idle RPM after initial startup, then to gradually reduce idle speed to a normal 700–800 RPM range as the engine warms up a bit. As per the case of taking longer time to drop the throttle body maybe dirty or obstructed by dirt or scale, it can disrupt the flow of air entering the engine and cause an increase in RPM. By thoroughly cleaning the throttle body assembly, will remove obstructions and ensure optimal airflow to the engine.

I have an issue with my Honda Accord 2010.

Recently a rewire worked on my AC and even since then my engine shakes aggressively whenever I put on the AC and the car is in traffic. If I am driving, it drives smoothly but once I enter traffic and the AC is on, it shakes very aggressively that I have to put it off. The RPM drops to almost zero

It appears that the AC is drawing too much power from the engine.

Now they are saying I should bring 41k to change the AC panel and the fuse box to rectify the issue.

Please has anyone experienced something similar before and how was it resolved.

You need a good rewire to check your distributor coil. Also to ensure that the spark plugs are firing perfectly. Whenever the coil overheats or fail to distribute enough power to the engine it usually results to rough idle and vibrations. I do not buy the idea of increasing the RPM cable because the engine will be high when you are not using A/c. You can as well get your mechanic to change your fuel filter and also make sure your radiator and fans are in good condition in addition to the above.

My toyota corrolla is having noticeable engine oil shortage.

Also if I step very hard on the pedal i will notice burst of smokes from the exhaust, attimes acceleration is clumsy when AC is working.

Just bought the car Nigerian used last month.

It is possible the former owner sold the car for this reason. But there’s nothing to worry because buying a 2nd hand vehicle means you start from where the initial owner stops.

I do not know the oil the initial owner was using before you bought it, it’s possible you changed a different oil which may result to your issue.

Try to service the car using Mobil 1000 provided its Corolla 2003 upwards. Before oil change the mechanic should allow all the bad oil in the engine to drop completely.

If the problem persists, you may need to change the rings or preferably replace the engine.

You will enjoy the car as new when you change the engine provided is direct Belgium.

Mobil and Total oils remain the best in Nigeria. Avoid using any oil that’s not Mobil or Total.

Hello House, am using a Camry 2.2l of year 2000 droplight.
When ever i accelerate the rpm always get to 4 before it engages into the second gear.

while moving from 2 to 3rd and 4th gear are smooth.

while moving if i remove my feed from the accelerator pedal, the speed meter will just drop to zero making the car to downshift while the RPM remains on a stable point of 2.

What could be the problem? Thank you.

The problem is as a result of faulty speed sensor or speedometer. It is gradually failing and if not serviced or replaced on time will affect your ride especially in gear selection. I advice you take it to an experienced gear box rewire or electrician because it is not a mechanical fault. Do not take the car to mechanics that repair or replace gearbox but rather an electrician that is into gearbox electrical issues. If you need me to refer you to someone kindly let me know. Furthermore, you will notice that while moving the speed meter stops while rpm moves. Once the speed meter stops moving you will notice a malfunction in gear selection most especially when you want to enter gear two from one. I hope this info helps.
