That's an original 9×19 parabellum model of GLOCK 19. With an effective range of 50m with detachable box magazine (that's military grade).... Don't mess with that Austrian pistol... has great precision
AutoElectNG: Wrong procedure...you are supposed to carry out mechanical and electrical tests before replacing things, you don't just replace willy nilly
timifakay: Please, list all other things you've done to fix the car. All codes relate to intake system.
So I'll recommend you do the following: Check fuel pump filter Do a pressure test on the fuel pump and compare result with standard expectation Check fuel injectors for blockage Check throttle body if butterfly is blocked Check air filter Confirm state of ignition coils and spark plugs.
If all the above are clean and operating properly, you shouldn't have any performance issues
I hv changed fuel pumps Coils and plugs Air filter Fuel nozzles Carried out electrical tests

nonye6194: I promised to gist y'all about my room leader and here it is
Right from the night we got our room and lodged in, we identified him as our leader and it stuck on him since he was the perfect person (giving his statue and talkative nature). He was among the folks I mentioned about who got nick names the night we got to camp.
His was Dickson
You should be able to figure out what that means
Here's the first crazy thing about this guy. Dickson passed the security checkpoint at the gate with already rolled sticks of marijuana . While he was telling us this, he was showing off the ziploc bag of the weed. I swear I could count close to 20 heavily rolled blunts and I was worried for my safety . While AY and I were still wondering which type of room mate our village people have doomed us with, Dickson asked in a nice manner if any of us has any allergy to marijuana as he's about to light one up (this was about 1 am) .
Of course, almost all of us chorused 'yes' that we have a problem with his request and we all started laughing. The medical doctor corper among us begged him specifically to carry his craze to one of the empty rooms several floors up since they are yet to be occupied. That was how our room leader left us for the rest of the night to goan get high .
After a few days in camp, the camp top officials met with room leaders one evening to discuss any challenges they're facing in their respective rooms. I happened to attend this meeting because I had to monitor the public address system used for the meeting. Did I mention that our room had like most of the wahala a typical room had before now? From broken lock latch to ceiling fan rotating in opposite direction (hence not blowing air). Plus we had just one functional bulb to the four lighting sockets we had. And before the complaints started, the state coordinator promised that all the complaints will be addressed and addressed in less than 48 hours.
Every room leader showed up and complained, except one.
Yeah You guessed right .
Dickson was a no show
The meeting ended and he still didn't show up. I set out looking for him around the hostel but it was a futile search because you can only see Dickson twice in a day back in the hostel: when it's rising time or when it's bed time.
This is because of his position as a senior member in the National Fellowship of Mami Market Spenders (NFMMS) .
I went to our floor manager to beg him to collect our room complaints we wrote down since we couldn't find our leader, which our room mates available had agreed to this alternative. The man took things out of hand and instead went to report our room to the camp director that our leader didn't attend the meeting and showed her our list.
Which kain wahala be this one again
So the camp director who saw me at the meeting declared I will now be the room leader .
I started begging this aunty not to do this to me and she didn't answer me o . It took the intervention of one of our OBS staff to exonerate me from this one and I was so relieved. Because it will look like I did this to topple Dickson as the room leader, which I most certainly never thought of since he was our favourite guy in the room with the jokes and gists. Although his leadership skills is nothing to write home about, we still like the . The camp director directed us to find him before bed time and we set out to find him again. Somehow one of our search teams got lucky and found him and with some of my roomies who were also searching for him, we berated him for not showing up to the meeting for our own interest. He apologised while we took him to goan see aunty director for punishment . The director just gave him several warnings and at the collected our list, alleluia !
While the CDS groups were already meeting in camp, I gisted Dickson about DrinkIQ and the next meeting he was seated at the back with the rest of the senior citizens of the fellowship . They caused so much stir in the group, made so much noise and brought life to the meetings. When they found out that Guinness wouldn't be giving out any free African Special or Stout, they ported back to their base .
I'm certainly not done with Dickson, as I have gist for days concerning him, but lemme end with this last one. One evening before the lights out, Dickson came back to the room dancing and was in a jolly mood. On asking what happened, he responded saying that a babe bought beer and skewered Turkey meat for him in mami market this evening. He went on to say that it's his first time of getting free drink and meat from a babe and he was happy like someone who popped his cherry .
We all had a good laugh that night but he didn't even send us. He kept dancing his thing and chanting:
'turkey, turkey, turkey.....' .
That night we christened him another nick name.
Turkey .
And below is Dr Turkey doing his thing as a contestant during the Mr Macho competition
una allow this guy contest for macho?? Una no know God... I been think say na native doctor role e been dey play o..
TRYGO: DON'T EVER THINK OF REPLACING THAT ENGINE SO SOON. 1. For the misfire codes, there are lots of causes.
*brittle valve cover seals allows engine oil seepage into spark plug ports, hindering spark ignition production in the combustion chamber of the vehicle. Oil intrusions into the combustion chamber might give you a wrong impression of an engine worn out.
*worn out piston rings are a likelihood in this situation. But this depends on how often you've replaced your engine oil.
* recheck the spark plugs and coils you have had replaced. A micro crack on any of the spark plugs, ceramic insulation, would allow voltage leaks needed for combustion. Insufficient voltage for spark ignition, would trigger this code. Same thing goes for the ignition coils.
*faulty or clogged fuel injectors, are salient culprits you may not ha e investigated. Ask your mechanic to remove and assess them for carbon deposits problems, or failures. Get them cleaned using carb cleaner, and replaced, if need be.
*lastly could be a wiring harness problems of any of the ignition coils, fuel injectors, etc. Perform power and ground tests using a digital meter. Saves you unnecessary replacement in parts.
2. The knock related codes could be that you have an open or short circuit problems on that circuitry. Has the engine being exhibiting any knocking sound? If it has, the codes came on because it was trying to protect from engine damage(such knocks occurs because of preignition, or detonations) by retarding or advancing the timing. Neglect these codes, if they don't appear, after erasing them with a scantool, or removal of a battery terminal.
3. The manufacturer codes needs a scan tool that can generically interpret Toyota based codes.
4. Finally, since the only codes remaining are the misfire codes(#2&3), and the manufacturer specific one, I'd advise you to focus more on cylinders 2 and 3.
Regards, Joseph DW Nig Ltd Isolo, Lagos www.dxta.net.ng 08066643532(WhatsApp/call)
PS: Don't replaced that engine yet. Try all the simple steps above first, before concluding on an engine replacement or rebuild.
If you don't hear any knocking noise on that engine, there's no need replacing the engine.
Hope this helps you out.
Thanks for bringing out ur time to my aid... God/Allah bless you...
The engine doesn't exhibit any knocking sound... the check engine light blinks once in a while...
TRYGO: That's a valve cover seal. Notice how the seal is brittled. Engine oil seeps into the spark plug ports every now and then.
there was a time say 2 months ago.. I experienced this... we changed the oil seals... so as to prevent the plug from soaking up oil.... since then... it didn't soak up any oil.... but the car finds it difficult to accelerate properly... and consumes alot of fuel.... it has a very terrible idle
AutoElectNG: How are your tires? Out of round tires can cause vibrations that cause misfire codes
If memory serves me right even a bad serpentine belt can do that as well on that engine.
As for the other codes, wiring issues, component failures, even the ECU in a worse case scenario.
Stop using trial and error technicians, get a proper techie to work for you
Worst case scenario the engine may need an overhaul.
Perform wiring and component integrity tests to zero in on what's wrong.
It seems the major issue i have may be getting good workmanship... As I have moved from one "reputable looking" auto workshop to another and have done various scan checks on this car...
Good day pals.... I've got a lexus es 330 2004... that's been having various issues for sometime now.... these issues include; Rough idle/misfiring... Shorts engine oil regularly... Doesn't accelerate fast enough for a v6.(even v4 better) Then engine doesn't seem to produce enough power when accelerating.... Consumes fuel..... . So I decided to take the car for a scan and the technician advised that if I can afford it... I should change the engine...(that's after the following codesteps popped up...
P0300 (random/multiple cylinder misfire) P0302 (cylinder 2 misfire) P0303 (cylinder 3 misfire) P0304 (cylinder 4 misfire) P0325 (knock sensor 1 circuit malfunction bank1 or 1 sensor) P0330 ( knock sensor 2 circuit malfunction (bank2)) P1135 (manufacturer control fuel air metering) P1351 (manufacturer control ignition system or misfire)
NB- Codes P0300,p0302, p0303,p1351 all reappeared again.
Kashif: If you have an airflow sensor issue, you MUST fix it first before anything. Given the symptoms you have, it is not likely the primary culprit (as you said the gear works well bone cold), but it will ruin even a brand new gear from Toyota in a while, if not fixed.
Something else I did not elaborate - sticky solenoids (in the valvebody) are also known to act up when hot. Just prepare to replace that gear, but fix other engine problems first.
Thanks bro... im taking the car back to where the scan was carried out so that necessary repairs can follow up... I will update discoveries as we progress.
radautoworks: Dude. Please pay a few thousand if that's what it takes and GO GET YOUR CAR SCANNED. We are not magicians.
Nigerians... always in a hurry to reply and look smart.... if you follow carefully you will see where I reported the scan results.... it's not compulsory u must leave a comment.
Kashif: The problem was there before the car was serviced, so don't blame the atf. Most of wrong atf effects show in drive feel and converter shudder. CVTs are much more intolerant.
The car in not in limp mode, because limps don't flip flop on its own.
@OP, what is the state of your atf now? Dark and burnt? If yes, you have an obvious leakage. Check the running temperature of your transmission via a scanner, or physically - capable thermometer or thermocoupler. There are many details, but the summary is that something is wrong with your transmission that atf replacement will not resolve. If the atf is not burnt, you may try and replace the VB if you get a working one.
Was any job done on the car before this started?
by VB you mean.... I will check for the condition 2moro....
I appreciate all efforts from everyone squeezing out time to help out.... God bless you all
kadil: Check the hubs, brake pads Worn out hub bearings could be the culprit
Could those really cause the car to Slag wen heated up? It drives smoothly in the mornings.... till engine warms up.... Even when it slags... if u turn of the engine and restart.... it picks and after 7mins... go back to slugging again.

I always perceive a smell of burnt oil wen I park sha.... I went to run some diagnosis today I was told that there were issues withave the knock sensor 1/2 and airflow sensors.... I would be going back there 2moro to have the catalyst checked....
olaremint: Bros I bought motor craft oil to service my gear more than a year ago, 1litre was 4.5K then, I had to buy 4. Nigerians will buy car over 2 million naira and be using 2.5K oil to service. Why not buy Raleigh bicycle jeje.
now that you have made ur fun, can you now provide a solution?
radautoworks: That's what happens when people buy cars without any idea of maintenance. Exactly what I warned about in our thread SMH.
It's his trans fluid first guess. When cold still viscous, when warms is thin. It's not limp mode that's the problem.
please what do you think is the solution?
Please I want you to note that this gear oil was just changed on Saturday evening.... and this issue like I said has been lingering on for close to 3 weeks...
