i believe italy will give her, Belgium crex ooo, my first shengen visa was last year march, and i applied alone, i re applied in august last year together with my wife with no travel experience, she was issued and we both travel together, the only thing they requested from us is, we must appear in embassy upon return, which we did.

1. You have gotten your own confirmation email , why are you complaining on behalf of others ?

2. Anyone who does not get the confirmation immediately should wait or use the complain option. The new system is not even up to 2- weeks, so disruption should be expected.

Even fresh applicant are not getting the confirmation email. on the first day i got confirmation email, but now u cant get it anymore

1. They did not ask you to login, they ask you to wait for the instructional email so, keep waiting till they get back to you.

2. This new website (AVITS Amentum) gives the USA embassy more ease of work , and it has come to enforce " wait for your turn " on VISA applicants.

3. The only set of applicants who can go and sign up on the website are the new applicants who are very ready to go and do something there , especially MRV payments. Old applicants with future appointments must wait for the email from the USA embassy before they can proceed.

any advice pls, have been issued Italy shengen twice last year, and have visited france with it, I dont want to apply to italy again because they usually issue a month or 6 weeks visa, I want to switch to france my friend got 2 years on first application last month another got 5 years....

Your application is still within processing timeframe.

Presently, applications submitted in Nigeria take about 191 days to process. If, by the end of next month, you have not heard from them, you can get in touch with IRCC.

In any case, a lot of individuals are applying for travel permits this summer, which will cause delays in the processing of visas.

** Personally Deduced .

1. In summary. Your previous visa refusals were kind of based on lack of travel experiences and the USA embassy has kept that record .


** After the above , 2 scenarios might have happened.


A. The last consular who interviewed you this year (2024) had actually interviewed you b4 (which is against USA consular policy - hence, your 221g re- appointment) and gave you pass mark based on your (refusal records) ability to have broken the travel history .

B. The last consular who interviewed you this year is a fresh consular but he/she only checked your (refusal) record and gave you pass mark based on your ability to have traveled to 6 countries.

2. Now, the consular who gave you the pass mark needed to write a rationale for your approval which must be reviewed by their supervisors.

3. The supervisor (s) reluctantly agreed that "Okay you have traveled to 6 countries which is fine but " Come and tell me again, what are you actually going to do in the USA ? Do you have enough funds because we have recalculated your possible expenditures ? Where are your nuclear-family (one of your top home-ties) ? Are they still in Nigeria ?

4. Work on the number 3 above, that's what the next consular will ask you and by God's grace you will have your visa stamping (if there is no other hiding stuffs).

I applied with my family, wife and 2 kids 2017 with no travel experience we were all refused, I applied alone 2018, I was refused, the last question the consular asked was have u travel outside your country and i said Dubai, she said no and refuse, then i build my travel history, 2022 traveled alot to many countries including 4 schengen countries and some others, and she asked same question that have i traveled before which i listed 6 counties for her, but one thing that struct me, she asked for my wife twice and i told her i couldn't secure appointment for her, but we both travel to those countries. and she said congratulation am approving ur visa and gave me collection slip. so was surprise to see a reschedule appointment

1. In that case you may not get the 221g slip again because It seems your follow up interview is a verbal aptitude oriented.

2. Email (via feedback option) or call the CGI for better clarification if additional or missing documents are needed. But i don't think they need you to come along with any supporting documents otherwise they would have stated it.

3. In this respect , flash back to your DS 160 data base and master off hand what you have written therein.

thank you for your reply, havent gotten the 221g slip cause my passport is yet to be return, i just login to my profile and discover a follow up appointment is activated for me to book. the consular did say i will approved your visa and have a nice trip.

1. Your visa was not approved but the consular officer approved the passing on to the next step (USCIS) of your Travel Passport for cross checking acurate data-information b4 the final approval .

2. If the consular did congratulated you after your interview on that 1st day, then he/she actually did that via human error (fatigue or hastiness) and forgot to hand you the 221g slip.

3. Well , its still a hopeful situation since your passport was retained because the consular officer anticipates your visa will be granted but something is preventing the CO from making the final decision.

4. The 221g is self-explanatory. Follow what is written there and you should know what do to.
Your visa is however hanging half-way at this state , nobody , not even the 1st consular who interviewed you can now determined the outcome. But be positive .

I was at the embassy last week Thursday for interview, and the consular approved my Visa... this morning i login to my profile and i was told to schedule for another appointment for 221g, what could be the problem? after first interview and this is not drop box.

yes have seen cases like that in the past, sometimes depend on the consular, that was the only reason giving because i have good financial record and solid travel history.

But my younger brother own was granted as the conference was two months passed before they requested for his passport and eventually giving after Two weeks of submission.

My visa was refused, cause the conference day as past, they simply said i dont have business to be in canada

You will be giving providing your POF is enough as you already paid for their service i.e Visa fee / biometric fee .

yes, make sure u enter flight that will take to Amsterdam so u can get the stamp first, he get why ooo, if u enter airfrance or lufthansa you will not get the stamp and is not good for u

Yes it’s because of the interval . There’s a time frame where rejection will become automatic. So whoever wants to apply immediately needs to stick with previous country or else they will assume you are trying to escape reason you were denied initially from the first .

Applying immediately will result to "visa shopping" and the rejection will be automatic

Do Not apply anywhere else if you already applied through France. Stay consistent and work on your documents to prove that you will return and can fund your trip. I was denied 3 times only to realize I kept getting denied because I previously applied to Spain last year and didn’t state my reasons. If you apply to Italy without giving a concrete reason why you applied to France and got rejected, rejection for all other Schengen states is automatic even though your documents are convincing. I finally got mine after addressing it

I got rejected by france twice,I gave it sometimes and travel to turkey and morocco, i applied to italy i was issued mutiple 6 weeks, i just renewed with my wife i was issued with my wife. a friend of my tried france too he was rejected also, he tried italy it was issued. france received lot of applications than italy, in own opinion italy is much easier. but make sure you travel before applying.

let me give u some advice, have been in this situation before, now i have shengen visas. 1, they refuse you because they doubt the authenticity of the documents you submitted, is a very strong one cause they use this word reasonable doubt, you need to prove it to them that the documents are not fake. 2, they refuse you because of your travel history, u dont have strong travel history that shows pattern of your life.
this number is very important and if u dont take time they will continue to refuse you. work and on this, give it sometime and apply with italy, but make sure you travel to places like turkey and morroco first.

My reason for refusal is “ The information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable “
I think that has to do with my itinerary ,I’m supposed to travel for 10 days but the heading of the itinerary was “ 5 days travel itinerary for ( my full name ) “ it ought to be written as “ 10 days travel itinerary for ( my full name ) “
And another error on the itinerary is , the only ticket I booked online is scheduled for 19th of November but it was written on the 21st of November , I didn’t even know how I made such mistakes, so I guess all of these errors confused the visa officer

this people are funny, got my visa today with my wife and they issue 1 month multiple with 15 days stay, they also ask me and my wife to report to the embassy when we return, issued me January this year, 6 weeks with 30 days multiple but now they reduce it, maybe is because of my wife.

I don’t agree with a major part of this write up because there’s no clear standard set as to who they want and what travel history they want . I know someone who frequents London and other EU countries and got denied very recently, so how about that?
I also know many people without travel history who got their us visas. No one knows the set criteria or boxes you need to check to get a visa. You can only assume and keep assuming but you can’t correctly conclude based on false assumptions.
Trust me if we all knew what they wanted to issue visas then this thread will not exist because it'll be a waste of time,

Thats your opinion i stated mine base on my observation, i have been applying for usa visa since 2001, and have studied them, any application to any embassies now rely on travel history, before trump first traveler usually get usa visa easily, not anymore, only few people get now. trump personally raised this issue that usa embassy should be doing same just like europe uk and canada, to vet document. Usa dont verify student bank statement before trump now they are doing so. I stated with travel history u stand the chance of 75 percent, other things come to play like Job, marriage and age. until i had travel history to france, italy, swiss, germany. thats when i got my visa, after 6 applications.

I want to tell you my experience yesterday at the us embassy...My appointment was 8pm, Before I enter the screening hall, I engage one of the halogen security officer working there, I asked him that we were not much on the que, he said they started since 6:30 am, he said that theses VO don't have joy, they don't want us to come to their country and that they have issuing out blue copy since that 6:30am. The guy was not discouraging me by this statement, he was being factual

I saw a couple weeaing Lord's Chosen best, I saw students F1 visas, people spending less than 2 minutes and collecting blue paper from VO
one man that told VO that his salary was 800k monthly and was for tourism visa got blue paper denied

one black American woman VO was so wicked she was issuing blue paper out till I left the hall

I spoke clearly, I answered their questions and no extra explanation, I looked at their face boldly and the VO was not looking at our faces while we were speaking, all their attention were on the computer system and typing al the way, I have traveled to Dubai before, I was for tourism visa I I was rejected and my salary was 400k monthly, I was optimistic but at the same I didn't put all my life and hope

I only saw two people who got white paper because they were widely travelled

This is not to discourage anyone from this US Visa approval.

It will only take grace of God for someone that Visited only UAE to get American Visa for tourism, except for other purpose, note some are lucky but chances are very slim. since trump era, America heavily rely on European visa like shengen, UK and canada to vet documents because America dont. if you have visited Uk , shengen , canada, u stand like 75 percent chance, I was at the embassy 2017 the VO asked me have u ever traveled to any European countries I said no, she refused me immediately. most of my friend that have been to uk or shengen got it. so take time and build ur travel history before applying again. same thing I did.
