Table 4.1 shows the socio-demographic characteristics of the respondents. The findings reveal that 46.4% of the respondents are between the age bracket of 23-27years, 22.3% between the ages of 38-42years, 13.3% are aged between 28-32years, 11.4% are between the age of 33-37years, 4.8% are between the age of 18-22years and only 1.8% of the respondents are 43years and above. This means that majority of the respondents are between the age of 23-27years and falls among the younger age of married female students in Gombe State University. The religion of the respondents indicated that 57.2% are Christians and 42.8% are Muslims. This means that on the average, both Christianity and Islam religion are practice by respondents. In terms of respondent‟s educational faculty, majority (30.7%) are from faculty of Social Sciences followed by faculty of Arts with 27.1%, faculty of Science has 17.5%, faculty of Education has 10.8% and faculty of Medicine has 4.8% representation in the study. Respondents‟ educational level also shows that majority 41.6% of the respondents are in 200level, 28.3% are in 300level, 16.2% are in 400level and 13.9% of the respondents are in 100level. This shows that majority of the respondents are in their second year of academic level and have issues to content with before graduation especially as it concern their status as married women and students. With regard to the occupational status of respondents, 55.4% are housewives, 28.9% of the participants are also involved in trading, 8.4% are civil servants, 4.8% combined academics with farming and only 2.4% of the respondents are artisan.
