A convicted serial rapist in Memphis, Tennessee, 55 year old Kevin Jordan, was walking on a side-walk while watching porn on his cell phone when he got hit by a runaway trailer which smashed into a fence and struck him.

A man who witnessed the accident last Wednesday around 5 p.m. said police told them that Jordan was looking at porn on his phone when he was hit. He added that Jordan was killed just a few houses down from where he lived.

According to authorities, Jordan was a known sexual offender in the early 1990s. He was known as the ‘Highland Street Rapist’ in Memphis and was sentenced to 25 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to 20 felonies in 1994, which included nine counts of rape, one attempted rape, as well as four robberies and three burglaries. He had raped four women after breaking into their homes, two in 1991 and two in 1992, while he was out on parole after being convicted of a similar rape and burglary conviction.

He was released from prison in 2010 for good behaviour.

His fiancée, Connie Harris said that he turned his life around since he was convicted of the rapes and released from prison.
But according to New York Daily News, court records show he was arrested for indecent exposure last year.

A woman who did not want to be identified said she called police when she saw Jordan expose himself while wearing a trench coat. She said when she looked out her office window, he started masturbating to her– but ran away when she called police.
However, Harris defended her fiancé after the accusation was made, stating that Jordan recently had a kidney transplant and was near the woman's office because he was on dialysis. She said Jordan was urinating, not exposing himself.

Harris said despite Jordan's past, he was a changed and good person and did not deserve to die the way he did.  
“It’s a big loss. I love him. I still love him,” Harris said. 

The Police are still investigating the accident. The driver pulling the trailer has not been charged.

18 year old Kaleb Amponsah was today, Friday August 26th, sentenced to 22 years in prison at the Old Bailey for the murder of a 27-year-old Nigerian man, after stabbing him to death in broad daylight in an east London park.

Amponsah, of Robertson Road, Newham, was found guilty on Thursday 28 July, at the Old Bailey of killing Ade Afariogun by stabbing him in the stomach in front of the victim’s friends.

On Friday 29 January, the victim was in Plaistow Park with three female friends. Whilst there, they noticed Amponsah ride his bike past the group on several occasions and stare aggressively at the victim.

Shortly before 13.15hrs, just as the victim was leaving the park, Amponsah pulled up his bike in front of him and started an argument with him. A scuffle followed during which the two exchanged punches. The victim’s friend attempted to intervene by pulling Amponsah away; but he produced a large knife from his waistband, stabbing the victim in his stomach twice. So brutal was the attack, that the victim received a 12cm injury to his abdomen.

He was rushed to Royal London Hospital, but despite the best efforts of medical staff, he died during the early hours of Monday 1 February.
Immediately after the incident, Amponsah fled from the scene, leaving the victim bleeding on the ground. In his haste he left behind his bike and mobile phone. This proved vital in the investigation as detectives were able to retrieve his DNA from both.... A young Nigerian man identified as Cyril Celestine, as set the social media on fire as he was see crying uncontrollably after his girlfriend dumped him.

After the  U.S started it's UFG military drill with South Korea on Monday, North Korea has now threatened military action using Nuclear missiles claiming they've been 'strongly provocated'.

''North Korea will turn the stronghold of provocation into a heap of ashes through Korean-style pre-emptive nuclear strike" if the US and South Korea "show the slightest sign of aggression" during the drill, a spokesman for North Korea's military was quoted as saying by the country's state media.

The annual drill will include 25,000 US troops, the bulk of which are already stationed in Korea, according to a statement by US Forces Korea. The purpose of the exercise is to "enhance Alliance readiness, protect the region and maintain stability on the Korean peninsula," the statement said.

Residents of Ughelli South council area of Delta State, on Saturday, apprehended two suspected ritualists who disguised as mentally-challenged persons.

The two men were said to have attacked their victim, a woman who was gathering sharp sand along the road side on the Otokutu end of the bridge.

The suspects waylaid their victim and were struggling with her, possibly trying to drag her to their hideout under the bridge, when she raised an alarm which attracted passers-by and residents.

They were apprehended and beaten to a pulp before being handed over to the Jeremi Police Division.

Although they were not found in possession of human parts to suggest they are ritualists, several school bags belonging to pupils, clothes and female handbags were found in their hideout under the bridge.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Celestina Kalu, was not available for comment as at press time.

A 43yrs old man, Taiwo Adio, has clubbed his wife, Yemisi, and three other persons to death with a pestle in Sokoto area of Sokoto State.

Adio also reportedly killed Rachael Adewole, 42, Benice Adewole, 10, and Esther Badelu, 14, at the Old Airport area of the Sokoto metropolis on Saturday night.

A female teenager in Sierra Leone has died after undergoing circumcision.

This was confirmed by the Police on Thursday.

Teenager Fatmata Turay died after she was circumcised in an initiation ceremony in the village of Mabolleh in north Sierra Leone; and three women involved, including the girl’s aunt, have been arrested, police said.

It all began when 16 year old Nia Green posted a photo of herself and her boyfriend, wearing nothing but a towel on her Facebook page.

The mum got to see it and decided her daughter deserved to be taught a lesson she would never forget. She live streamed herself beating her as punishment.
She first took over Nia’s Facebook page and started a live video stream. Then with after more than 4,000 viewers, she started beating her with a piece o f plywood and her bare hands.

The video started with the mother saying:
“You wanna hide this boy in my f***ing house,” Green’s mother shouts before hitting her daughter.
She then instructs an unseen third party to keep filming as she beats Nia’s face, abdomen and head repeatedly.

“This is what you want,” the woman yells before smacking her child on the face. I thought it was my period,” Nia tearfully answers, The mother then punches her on the stomach before saying , “You probably got some discharge, with your nasty a**!”

The beating continues until the mother was satisfied. she then walks over to the recording device and claims that she is taking over her daughter’s Facebook profile.

Few minutes after the video went viral, the mother received a lot of backlash from social media users and some human right groups. She then took to Nia’s facebook page which is now has her picture as the display pic to explain herself.

She wrote:
”I love my daughter with all my heart what ever happens after this o well my daughter is not going to disrespect me or herself for nobody that shit Bernie Mac !!! Ain’t nothing change she still my baby girl 100. lesson learned now have a blessed day it.

A day after the incident Nia, made a post on Facebook , saying that she deserved to be beaten by her mother :

A 36-year-old woman, Monica Mares, and her 19-year-old son, Caleb Peterson, have told everyone who cared to listen that they are ‘madly in love’ and nothing can tear them apart.

Although both of them have been ordered to stay away from each other by the court, this does not seem to be working. They are going to be standing trial on incest charges later this year in Clovis, in the US state of New Mexico. If found guilty, they could be sent to prison for up to 18 months.

I was so tickled by some people’s comments when I penned down my personal opinion on Pastor Adeboye’s yarns as to what constitutes a good wife/husband.

Aside from the mass unemployment, ignorance and poverty that abounds, Naija I believe is the Genesis of this Pentecostal influence across Africa. I know that many would do anything to run away from the excruciating poverty my people are witnessing even if they have to speak in tongues and most Pastors are happily taking advantage of the situation. There is God o!!
A lot of us have been brainwashed on how to worship God as some churches now come up with different gimmicks. It is not surprising to see people attend church rituals involving frantic falls as if grasped by epileptic seizures, forming attack by the spirits. Yes, most of these dramatics are paid for, like the Nollywood actor who claimed that the devil exited his body through his foot.

Now, some parents are praying for their sick children at home instead of seeking medical attention; or chaining children to enable the pastors cast out demons. Many women are caught having sex with pastors in corners or found spending more time catering to their pastors. How about husbands who have lost their wives totally to randy, Hot and perverted pastors. Yes, what about the ones who can’t hold down a marriage, when me wey dem talk say I dey craze, don collect 39 yrs for one woman hand. Kai. The list goes on.

I am not suggesting that all Men of God are tainted, but out of a hundred you may not find 4 that live what they preach, the rest are just taking advantage of our religious ignorance. Would it surprise you to know that I have read the Bible cover to cover over 20 times. So I know more than I make out! I know that true men of God do not misquote the Bible. It’s only demons who misquote or misapply the Bible in some way.

I know that God cannot punish us if we don’t pay tithe to our church because it is the goodness of our hearts that interest God more than physical and financial disposition. I know that true men of God cannot promise us happiness and prosperity, all of that is a fortune-teller’s lie, there is nothing in the bible about any “medium” that God uses to deliver such blessing.

When I was growing up, men of God were renowned for their simple lifestyles. They endured the hardships the natives suffered in a bid to impart in them the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. The legacy of these humble men have since been overtaken by conmen seeking to get rich through donations and wayo tactics as they mesmerise and swindle unsuspecting religious Mugus.

Fake Christians should go and read Matthew 21:22 which says “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive” . This, like many other similar verses in the New Testament, clearly explains that a man must have no latent doubt in his heart but must have absolute trust in the power and good will of God. Meaning  that it is not the Pastor’s prayer that sets one free from spiritual bondages, but first and foremost one´s faith in Jesus Christ.

Nowhere is it stated in the Bible that, prayers and miracles must be done in exchange for money, biko, because salvation is for free and for everyone. Our mumu never do?

It is unfortunate that while some churches minister to the spiritual, educational and economic needs of people, others use the same gospel fraudulently/intelligently to acquire wealth out of the destitution of the poor. Even more annoying are those who have the answers under their very noses, but who driven by these manipulations still abide blindly to such fake doctrines. At the end of the day, I know that how a man chooses to worship his God is up to him. Worshippers are not forced to be followers in any of these churches; they follow some of these useless “men of God” of their own accord, thereby making the pastor’s wealth acquisition fairly legal. However, Christians should always have this in the back of their minds.

False Christians and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive. Are you a learner? Look that your pastor well well o. Man of God my Ass. End time tins!

It was indeed a sad day as a little girl, Jayda Handy died after she was hit by a car when she ran into the road during her own birthday party.

It was reported that, Jayda ran onto the road near North 84th and West Marion streets in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to greet her grandfather as he arrived for her party but was suddenly hit and killed by a car.

Speaking about what happened, Jayda’s heartbroken father, Jaylen said: “It’s just still unreal to me that this happened. She was just here preparing for her party all morning. She saw her granddad, she ran over there. She was just a happy baby. Always happy. Always happy. Everybody loved her… everybody is going to miss her. She had an impact on everybody.”

Police said the driver remained at the scene after the accident but the girl sadly passed away. However, the birthday party continued afterwards, with family and friends saying that it is what Jayda would have wanted. Also, the driver is helping with the investigation and no citations are expected as it is believed the person was driving legally.

A 24-year-old father, Asa North has been charged for manslaughter after forgetting his twin daughters in an extremely hot car in 90-degree temperatures outside their Georgia home.

The death of a New Jersey man got people surprised with two competing obituaries - one from his wife and another from his girlfriend.

Leroy B. Black, of Egg Harbor Township, died Tuesday from lung cancer due to fiberglass exposure, his obituary said. He was 55.

Yet in announcing funeral arrangements in the Press of Atlantic City, there were two different obituaries for him. On the top one, Black is survived by his ‘loving wife, Bearetta Harrison Black.’

In the next one, he is survived by his ‘long-time girlfriend, Princess Hall.’

An employee at Greenidge Funeral Home said there were two obituaries because ‘the wife wanted it one way, and the girlfriend wanted it another way,’ Philly Voice reported. The employee said everybody knew the two obituaries were happening.’

Another tragedy has hit the football community with the passing away of Nigeria Youth International, Peter Ogaba.

Ogaba, 42, died after a brief illness in Abuja. It was not immediately clear when he died.

Ogaba is fondly remembered for being the youngest Nigerian player at the FIFA U-20 World Cup hosted by Saudi Arabia in 1989 where Nigeria lost in the final to Portugal.

He was also the youngest player to feature at the FIFA Under 17 World Cup at Canada ’87.
