A former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, Monday, said he would soon open up on what actually killed his boss and the acclaimed winner of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election, Chief Bashorun MKO Abiola.

Al-Mustapha said he would unveil the untold story of how the duo died in his new book, Mustapha’s Memoirs, which, according to him, is still being worked on.

Al-Mustapha, who addressed journalists in Lagos yesterday, said one thing killed his boss and the late MKO.
He said: “For instance, when Chief MKO Abiola was in prison, many notable Nigerians visited him. They will visit him in the morning, and when they come back to the Villa in the evening to see Abacha, they would say a different thing entirely.

“Unknown to these notable Nigerians, particularly notable Yoruba personalities, who visited Abiola, their visits were recorded on video. I did the video recording without their knowledge.

“These people would visit Abiola and come back to tell government a different thing about him.

“These same people would still go and tell Abiola a different thing about government. They are on video. The agencies of government have these videos evidence.
“These same people told MKO Abiola never to accept any compromise or negotiations. They advised him never to come back home without his mandate. All these things are on video.

“Of all the Yoruba leaders, only Oba Tejuosho told MKO Abiola the truth: to accept the conditional bail and go home.

“Only Oba Tejuosho told MKO Abiola that Abacha was his friend, urging him to reconcile with Abacha who was ready for reconciliation. It was Oba Tejuosho who told MKO Abiola that he still had the goodwill and would win if he re-contests after Abacha.

“What killed Abacha is what killed MKO Abiola. But I would reveal that after my court case, still at the Supreme Court. I would publish a book which has three volumes— the Mustapha’s Memoirs, which will tell what happened under Abacha and how he died.”

On Abacha loot still being returned to the country from abroad, 18 years after his death, Al-Mustapha said he was shocked the first time he heard of Abacha’s loot.

He added that most of what was today known in the media as Abacha’s loot were mere media campaigns aimed at smearing the late Sani Abacha’s image by local and international persons he stepped on their toes while he was Head of State.

Also, Al-Mustapha restated his call for a public debate, where former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, would come to backup claims in his infamous 18-page letter that he (Al-Mustapha) was contracted to head a killer squad of 1,000 snipers for former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, ahead of the 2015 general elections.

He said: “Nobody contracted me to catch 1,000 mosquitoes under the Jonathan administration, let alone human beings. I am Al-Mustapha. I have my background away from the propaganda peddled by the likes of Obasanjo.

“Obasanjo has had his day. I am doing my investigation and I have discovered so many things as to what made him (Obasanjo) make such allegation. I have it. I will release it very soon and that is why I have challenged him to an open debate. “Obasanjo is my senior in the force; he was a former Military Head of State, but when issues of law and rights of man are being discussed, definitely equality comes to the fore.

“You cannot put an allegation against your junior because you are a senior, and you believe the junior would keep quiet. No, I would not. That would amount to ignorance. I am not ignorant about our laws.

“I challenge Obasanjo to an open debate so that he can substantiate his allegations before the whole world; but he is yet to oblige the challenge.

“Thank God a new government is here today, where he (Obasanjo) can bring up the issue, requesting it to investigate and, if there is any contract between Jonathan and I to catch one single mosquito, I want to say that I am guilty and want to be tried.”

According to Reports reaching us, there is a great clash between the pro-Biafra activists in Onitsha and the Nigerian Army which have resulted into shooting and many have been feared dead.

The signal which was sent to several unit commanders in the Southeastern parts of Nigeria early this morning asked the unit commanders to be on “standby’ in case of a breakdown of law and order as pro-Biafra agitators embark on street protests today in the Southeast.

The Nation reports that the celebration of Biafran Day in memory of Late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu turned sour Monday, May 30, in Anambra, as the military, police, members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) clashed, killing over 30 persons and injuring many.

It was equally gathered Monday that over 50 members of the Biafran group were arrested by the military and taking to their 302 cantonment in Onitsha.

Following the mayhem, the commercial city of Onitsha especially Nkpor axis, was locked down with the security operatives taking over the roads.

Commercial activities were paralyzed as a result, with vehicular movements stopped with burn fires all over the roads.

Speaking with reporters Monday on the development, the public relations officer (PRO) of (IPOB), Emma Powerful, alleged that security operatives had killed over 30 members of the group, over 50 others arrested and taken to an unknown destination.

Also, he alleged that many others were seriously injured in the mayhem, adding that the security operatives started arresting their members since 1.30 am when they began their peaceful demonstration.

According to him, “they were moving around in their hilux vehicle with a native doctor, when we are celebrating Biafra without any form of weapon, does it mean that we have no right for our fundamental rights,” Emma asked.

When the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), in the state Ali Okechukwu was contacted at about 11.55am, he said there was no room to discuss causality figures, adding that they were still busy trying to clear the roads for easy movement.

However, an eye witness who spoke with The Nation Monday and a (MASSOB) member said about 32 persons were killed by the navy and military personnel.

The casualties according to him were taken to one of the hospitals at Nkpor but they were rejected, while those killed were driven to the army barracks.

For MASSOB and Campaign for Democracy (CD), the action of the security personnel was unfortunate knowing fully that the group was a harmless one celebrating the declaration of Biafra on May 30th, 1967 in memory of late Ojukwu.

The leader of MASSOB, Comrade Uchenna Madu, told reporters that federal government should look into the mayhem with a view to arresting the situation, adding that his group was not involved.

However, he warned that if Ndigbo were pushed to the wall by security personnel that they would have no other option than to take to arms, which according to him would make Nigeria be in flames.

Madu, further said that the federal government was negotiating with Boko-haram and Niger Delta militants while the security continued to fight the people without arms and they were keeping quite.

He said he ordered his men to mark Ojukwu’s day by staying indoors and not march on the streets, adding that those in the streets were not (MASSOB) members rather (IPOB).

Speaking with The Nation the (Ogirishi Ndigbo) spiritual leader, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, described the situation as unfortunate.

He said when he was contacted by the group about the peaceful protest; he advised them to use his Rojenny stadium instead of the streets, adding that they told him that they had secured a place at Nkpor already to mark the Biafran day.

However, he condemned the alleged killing of Ndigbo, adding that nobody had the right to kill people if it actually happened, but emphatically, said he was not aware of the killings.

Furthermore, he said if there should be a form of protest, that the people should get permit from the security men, adding that he had earlier advised to maintain peace in such situation.

The Nation gathered from one of the eye witnesses at Nkpor that the anger of the military was that one of its men was killed during the shootout.

The national publicity secretary of campaign for democracy (CD) Dede-Uzor-Dede, told reporters Monday that the federal government should arrest those involved in the killings of the harmless youths with a view to bringing them to justice.

This, according to him was in line with chapter 4; section 33 to 41 which centered on fundamental human rights and in line with the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.

“There are freedom of association, movement among others, people’s rights of protest peacefully should be allowed, the sanctity of people’s rights is sacrosanct and total in its ramifications,” he said.

CD therefore warned that the era of killing Ndigbo youth must stop by the security operatives.

Some sources reveal that soldiers invaded a Catholic Church in Nkpor, near Onitsha, Anambra state.

The invasion was said to have taken place early this morning, May 30, as people were participating in Mass.

The incident comes on this day which happens to be Biafra remembrance day. It was on this day in 1967 that the late General Ojukwu declared the Republic of Biafra, after suffering through years of suppression under Nigeria’s military government.

In 1960, Nigeria gained independence from Britain. Six years later, the Muslim Hausas in northern Nigeria began massacring the Christian Igbos in the region, prompting tens of thousands of Igbos to flee to the east, where their people were the dominant ethnic group.

The Igbos doubted that Nigeria’s oppressive military government would allow them to develop, or even survive, so on May 30, 1967, Lieutenant Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu and other non-Igbo representatives of the area established the Republic of Biafra, comprising several states of Nigeria.

After diplomatic efforts by Nigeria failed to reunite the country, war between Nigeria and Biafra broke out in July 1967.

Ojukwu’s forces made some initial advances, but Nigeria’s superior military strength gradually reduced Biafran territory.

The state lost its oil fields–its main source of revenue–and without the funds to import food, an estimated one million of its civilians died as a result of severe malnutrition.

On January 11, 1970, Nigerian forces captured the provincial capital of Owerri, one of the last Biafran strongholds, and Ojukwu was forced to flee to the Ivory Coast. Four days later, Biafra surrendered to Nigeria.

This is one of the many pathetic stories about Nigerians in the Diaspora. And it is a story that will bring tears to many eyes.

Ms Julie Osamese felt a little feverish when she walked into the Ospedale Maria Vittoria Cibrario Hospital in Turin, Italy sometime in November 2008.

Her only complaint was a slight increase in body temperature, and that she explained to the doctor who attended to her.

Tests were conducted, following which she was given medication to use and instructed to return for evaluation after a week.

But her second visit to the hospital could be described as the greatest mistake of her life. For this Nigerian lady, it marked the beginning of years of woe.

It was the beginning of years of trauma during which she was moved to six other hospitals.

She eventually ended up in a mental home, despite being mentally stable.

Some of the hospitals Osamese was taken to include Amedeo Di Savoia Svizzerra and Ospedale San Giovanni Bossco, Sun reports.

According to the chairperson of the House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora Affairs, Rita Orji, who recently led other members of the committee to investigate Osamese’s disheartening story, the woman, in her 30s and a legal immigrant in Italy, was, on her follow-up visit to the Ospedale Maria Vittoria Cibrario hospital, given drugs which made her dizzy.

It was gathered that as she complained to the medical personnel who attended to her, she was tied to the bed despite her protests.

By the time she woke up, part of her buttocks had allegedly been chopped off, and her kidney tampered with.

That was how she lost control of her bladder, leading to uncontrollable urination, it was gathered.

Narrating the inhuman treatment meted out to Osamese, the lawmaker said:

“After taking the drugs for one week, she came back to report how she was feeling.

On that day, she was asked if she came to the hospital alone, and she said, ‘yes’ innocently without knowing the reason why that question was put across to her. That marked, the beginning of her paralysis.

She was asked to lie down that they were going to give her some medication.

Within two, three minutes, she was approached with a mixture in a cup and she drank it, believing that it was for the fever she complained of.

But she became dizzy and she was telling them how she felt. But they said there was no problem.

“Suddenly, the team of doctors came around and tied her legs and her hands on the bed and she started shouting, ‘why are you tying me’? She said one of the doctors responded that she could shout at the top of her voice, but that nobody would know what was being done.

That was how they faced her down and gave her injection on her base bone. After the injection, she passed out. When she finally regained consciousness, she saw that the lower part of the buttocks on both sides had been chopped off, to the extent that the bones in her buttocks had cracked and she saw the pieces of the bones.

Also her bladder was disengaged from the source with urine pouring out uncontrollably. In fact, she woke up on a catheter and a big plaster by the region of her kidney.

“They started moving Madam Julie from one hospital to the other. It is the norm that when you are being transferred to any hospital, the ambulance in which a patient is transferred goes with a medical report.

But in Julie’s case, nothing like that was done. They dumped her into one ambulance to drop her in one home or the other without attaching her medical history. They kept her, thinking she would die.

At a stage, she was only living on prayers. They finally dropped her at the seventh medical Centre. During our investigations, I asked what the reasons for moving her from one place to the other were.

There is no answer to that. What they were telling us is that she is mentally Ill. She is diabetic.

But I want to tell you that all these stories are unfounded. No one has the confirmation of these health conditions they told us she suffers from based on medical ground.

“On our arrival at that place, we conducted a test and found that Julie is not diabetic.

The scan that was carried out on her, and we have the result, shows that her kidney was tampered with.

This is what the woman has been shouting about for the past eight years, and nobody seems to believe her.

Today it is Julie, tomorrow I don’t know who it will be. On their final stop, they dumped her in a mental home, a woman of thirty something years, dumped in a mental home that harbours old men and women that are demented.”

Also corroborating Orji’s story, another member of the committee who represents Itu/Ibiono Ibom federal constituency, Henry Okon -Archibong, a medical doctor, explained that Osamese can never walk again, no thanks to the havoc inflicted on her.

“From what happened, they might have tried to give her anaesthesia before they harvested the kidney. In doing that, they damaged the lumber and sacred nerves. So, there is no way Julie can walk again.

Julie has been paralysed and the issue of walking has nothing to do with what we are calling for.

She has to be compensated, the medical doctors that participated in what led to her current situation have to be dealt with as the law permits,” he said.

Indeed, the committee is demanding that the Italian government investigate Osamese’s case with a view to fishing out the medical personnel whose highly unprofessional conduct led to the loss of one of her kidneys and her permanent confinement to a wheelchair.

The lawmakers are also asking for the highest form of compensation and a complete rehabilitation of the mother of one, who they said have been the subject of several protests by the Nigerian community in Italy.

Orji declared: “The action that will satisfy us as lawmakers starts from the whole world condemning the injustice meted out to an innocent person.

We are saying that there should be a holistic compensation and a new medical team should conduct an analysis of Madam Julie’s situation and proffer the best way to get her life back on track.

She has lost hope on the medical doctors around her. So, I will advise that they have to look for another medical team that are not from Turin to carry out this job.”

The lawmakers also called on the minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama to investigate the role of the staff of the Nigerian High Commission in Italy, whom they accused of negligence.

“You can’t believe that when the relations of this lady were at the hospital, a woman named Deborah and another man called Ifeanyi, the woman told them what she had been put through.

She gave them documents to back her claims and told these relatives of hers to run to the Nigerian High Commission in Rome, to inform them of what happened. Those documents were given to one Madam Martina and Mr. Folorunsho who are staff of the commission.

But no one asked after her (Osamese) since 2009. They never went to visit her. They didn’t even keep the documents handed over to them.

When we demanded for them, they denied ever receiving the documents. For us, the recklessness of the Nigeria High Commission in Italy as at then, caused the terrible situation we see.

Assuming they intervened on time, the situation of this woman will not be this bad,” Orji added.

A Chinese detergent advertisement which was intended to promote the product has led to provocation and outrageous reactions from the outside world.
The advert shows a black man being shoved into a washing machine and turned into a Chinese.

The commercial for the Qiaobi brand shows a black man whistling and winking at a young Chinese woman, who calls him over, puts a detergent packet into his mouth, and forces him headfirst into a washing machine.

She sits on the lid while the man shrieks. Moments later an Asian man emerges in clean clothes, and the woman grins.

Many on social media were miffed and angered by the advert.

Some said the commercial was a crooked take on a similar Italian commercial , in which a Caucasian man was turned into a black man with the slogan: "Coloured is better".

The Chinese version uses the same music and sound effects as the Italian clip.

The Chinese advert has been viewed on YouTube more than one million times. The user who posted it, Benoit Florencon, described the film as "raw racism".

China has historically experienced almost no migration by people of African descent, although the population has grown in recent years as China has risen to become the continent's biggest trading partner.

Traditional attitudes prizing white skin in women have contributed to bias against dark-skinned people.

The Shanghai Leishang cosmetics company, which produces the gel-capsule product, has not responded to calls seeking comment.

As migrants crisis continues at least five refugees reportedly died and hundreds rescued from a capsizing boat off the Libyan coast.

At least five die as Italian navy rescues "562 people", taking the total transferred to Italy this year to about 40,000.

Images released by the Italian navy have captured the moment a heavily overcrowded boat overturned in a shipwreck off Libya which left at least five people dead.

The blue fishing vessel, its deck heaving with people, tipped over on Wednesday after the refugees and migrants rushed to one side on spotting a rescue ship.

Those on the boat, many of them men, some already wearing orange life jackets as a precaution, were captured in rare photographs as they clung to the boat's rails or each other, or dropped into the sea.

Some are seen hanging on to the starboard edge by their fingertips as the trawler rolls, while others try to balance on the rim.

A 24-year-old woman, Nwakaego Ugochukwu, was arraigned in Lagos on Tuesday for sexually molesting a five-year-old girl in her residence.

The accused, a factory worker, who resides at Canal Estate, Ago Okota, Lagos, is facing a two-count charge bordering on sexual assault before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, Vanguard reports.

The Prosecutor, Insp Eruada Victor, told the court that the accused on May 5, 2016, took the child to her residence where she sexually assaulted the five-year-old girl.

Victor added that the woman repeatedly dipped her fingers into the private part of the five-year-old girl and that the matter was reported to the police after the victim reported to her parents.

The offences contravened Sections 259 and 261 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos.

The Magistrate, Mr E.O. Ogunkanni, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum after the accused pleaded not guilty.

He adjourned the case till June 15 for hearing.

A married man who sneaked from his family home to visit his lover, has been murdered by the woman's jealous boyfriend in a bloody fight that ensued in the woman's apartment the Bamenda area of Cameroon, reports Cameroon Online.

The gory incident which allegedly happened on Tuesday, May 24, saw the man leaving his family Mamfe area, the capital city of the Manyu A Division of the Southwest Region in Cameroon, to go visit his mistress, unaware that the lady's other lover was also in town.

When he got to Bamenda at Mile 2, he was confronted by his mistress' boyfriend and a fight broke up, during which his lover's boyfriend used a knife to stab him to death.

The mistress was promptly arrested after neighbours reported the matter to the police.

The young man was caught with all types of locally made charms (juju) in his wardrobe – some even with blood!

The lady who recorded the clip on her phone seems to be living with her husband in the same house and can be heard asking Christian a series of questions, in utter disbelief.

The madness of taking selfie in recent time has cost lot of people's lives. There are many cases of people who have lost their lives while trying to take selfie with loaded guns yet many seem not to be learning from the tragic stories of others. 
The story I bring to you this time is a little bit different from the previous stories where people mistakenly shoot themselves in an attempt to take selfie with gun. 

A shocking incident has taken the life of a man after he cuddled near a monster Walrus taking selfies and videos to post on social media.

A man in China has lost his life after he was killed by a walrus while taking a selfie. The man was playfully dragged into the water and drowned, according to eyewitnesses.
The dead man was a business man named Jia Lijun who had visited the park alone and had been taking videos and pictures to put on his social media account when the walrus, which reportedly weighed nearly 1.5 tonnes, grabbed him from behind.

According to the report, Jia’s family learned the tragic news on the evening of May 11.

The incident occurred earlier this month at Xixiakou Wildlife Park in Rongcheng city in the north-east of the country, reports the People’s Daily Online.

Giving more details about the matter, a friend of Jia, surnamed Wu, said the man was very excited about meeting the walrus and had sent many photos and videos to friends.
Wu was a recipient of the videos.
He told local reporters: ‘Who would have thought that at three o’clock he would send me a video, talking and laughing and just a few minutes he was drowning in the water.’ 
Wu learnt from an eyewitness that the attack came when Jia was posing for a selfie.

Wu added: ‘His back was to the walrus, and he took a selfie, the walrus came from behind and pulled him into the pool to play. He was killed by the walrus, he didn’t accidentally fall into the water.‘
However, there have been mixed reports since the incident. 

According to onlookers, the walrus clung to the man from behind and dragged him to the pool of water, submerging him and swinging him around.

The animal’s keeper surnamed Duan found some bamboo sticks to try and rescue the man however it didn’t go to plan.
He then decided to enter the pool.
It was at this moment that the animal released Jia and rushed towards Duan.
Duan has been described as a ‘strong swimmer’ by his colleagues but unfortunately the huge walrus held both men in a tight embrace and dragged them under the water.
By the time they were rescued, it was already too late.

The zoo has taken responsibility for the accident and has paid Jia’s family 900,000 yuan (£94,000) in compensation.

Gift Edosomwan, a 15-year-old murder suspect who had escaped from the custody of the Edo State Children Remand Home at Ugbekun in Benin, where he was remanded for allegedly stabbing a 28-year-old woman, Itohan Enagbere, and her three-year-old daughter, Iwinosa, has been re-arrested alongside an accomplice after two days in hiding.

Punch reports that the teenager who had escaped on May 21, was rearrested at about 12am on Monday, May 23.

Edosomwan had earlier been arrested for the stabbing to death of the woman and her young child at their home at residence on Osaze Street, in the Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of the state, on December 9, 2015.

The landlady of the house where the incident occurred had earlier been arrested, but was later released after Edosomwan, who was living with the landlady, was arrested, and  arraigned before an Evbouriaria Magistrates’ Court which ordered that he be remanded pending the advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.

It was learnt that Edosomwan and another suspect managed to escape the home when he and other inmates were brought out of their rooms to observe a morning routine.

The management of the facility was said to chased after them but the suspects reportedly raised the alarm that they were being chased by cultists, which made those pursuing them to slow down.

A source at the home narrated this:

“As they were being chased, they started shouting that they were being chased by cultists in order to cause a distraction.

But Edosomwan was later apprehended at the house where he allegedly committed the crime while his accomplice was caught on the way.

Some residents of the area called to say he was inside the house. They even said he was a threat in the area.”

He was said to have attempted to escape through the ceiling of one of the rooms, but was overpowered by the men, who took him back to the remand home.

The source of a whopping $40million found in the account of Roberts Azibaola, a cousin to former President Goodluck Jonathan has been unearth by hard fighting anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to reports by The Nation newspaper, the money was wired through Citibank N. A. Canada Square Canary in Wharf London E 145 LB into the account of One Plus Holdings Nigeria Limited of Azibaola.

The report also said $6million of the money was paid to a bureau de change in Abuja.

Citing a document seen by the newspaper’s reporters, the report said: “The Special Services Office has a joint account with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and some security agencies, which was managed by ONSA.

“The $40million was wired into the account of Azibaola’s company through Citibank N. A. Canada Square Canary in Wharf London E 145 LB.

“The money was transferred to One Plus Holdings Nigeria Limited with Robert Azibaola and Stella Azibaola as directors. All disbursements went to individuals and companies including two foreign firms and the wife of the ex-President’s cousin. About $5.5million has been allegedly transferred to Mrs. Azibaola.

“The $40mmillion was in respect of a contract for the supply of Tactical Communication Kits for Special Forces. No records of contract executed.

“We wrote to the Office of the SGF and the Permanent Secretary, Special Services Office (PSSO) said: “The SGF office is not in possession of any document or evidence of contract.

“Even the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) said it had no records of the contract but it only made available payment advice to transfer the funds to the Azibaola’s account

Azibaola, who was yet to make any refund and has been relocated from Lagos to Abuja in preparation for his trial. He was arrested by EFCC on March 23 in line with the ongoing probe of 300 companies involved in phantom contracts by ONSA.

According to reports, former president, Goodluck Jonathan might have begun a period of self-exile in Cote d’Ivoire to avoid being arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to ThisDay, Jonathan went to the country last week after hearing reports of an impending arrest over money laundering allegations.

The sources also reportedly told ThisDay that the renewed attacks in the Niger Delta were due to “the decision by President Muhammadu Buhari to renege on his promise that his predecessor had ‘nothing to fear’ from him (Buhari) after he handed over the reins of power on May 29, 2015”.

Jonathan had earlier been accused of sponsoring the Niger Delta Avengers, a new militant group which has claimed the recent attacks.

Earlier reports had it that President Muhammadu Buhari and Jonathan were planning a meeting over the renewed attacks.

Sunday Adelaja, a Nigerian Pastor based in Ukraine, has been accused of serially committing adultery with members of his congregation; an allegation he denies.
Sunday Adelaja, founder and spiritual head of one of Europe’s largest churches, Embassy of the Blessed Kingdom of God for All Nations Church in Kiev, Ukraine, is under fire to step down after reports surfaced of his adultery with his members.

According to Sunday Punch, the Pastor, in an e-mail, denied the rumours, and attributed labelled it an attempt by some people to take over the church from him.

“That is not true at all; I have read what people are saying about me. The funny thing is that nobody asked me for any information; no interview was granted to anyone,” the mail read.

“It is actually an old story that was cooked up by some disgruntled members of my leadership team when they knew of my decision to hand over the church because of my plan to return to Africa."

The rumour had apparently became publicised after a statement appeard on the website of Russian Union of Christians Evangelical Faith, where it was stated that

Pastor Adelaja confessed to having committed adultery with his female parishioners at a meeting of pastors and board of elders of the church. The statement also revealed that the pastor claims he has repented.

According to a letter posted on the website of the Spiritual Council Russian Union of Christians Evangelical Faith (Pentecostals), written by one Apostle Toff Ulissis, a clergyman said to be providing spiritual care to the Nigerian pastor, Adelaja was urged to “seek psychiatric help in Kiev and the United States.”

Ulissis said, “Pastor Sunday mentioned that he had a relationship with 20 or 30 women; probably, the number was more than he could remember... People are very sorry about the current situation with the pastor and wanted him to have psychiatric help.

“I made it clear that my aim is not to destroy either the Embassy of God... I wanted to make sure that everything has been done to these women and the couples have received care, reconciliation and redeeming restoration.”

However, the Pastor refused all advice, saying no one could dictate to him how to act or behave.

According to Anatoly Belonozhko, a former minister of the church who resigned due to the scandal,

“We, as  church elders, began to create new projects and exercises to heal and restore the church, a new structure, and of course, help our pastor. But Pastor Sunday in writing categorically rejected our help, humiliating us and saying that we have no power to tell him what to do and how to do it and that he knows how and what to do."

Pastor Adelaja however maintains his stance of innocence. According to him, “t’s a leadership tussle from those whose desires for church leadership were not granted. I’m happy with my wife. The church here in Ukraine is doing well. So I thank God that their stories, though believed by some without confirmation, is still false nevertheless.”

On Thursday 19, Doyen Naija brought you a report on the EgyptAir Flight 804 that got missing after departing Paris for Egypt on Wednesday and was due to be in Egypt on Thursday. Unfortunately the Airbus A320 was flying at 37,000 feet when it disappeared. All efforts to trace the flight since Thursday have been futile till yesterday.

For the first time since the incident, the mangled wreckage from Egypt Air flight 804 were found. The plane's twisted blue metal panelling, marked with Egypt-Air branding, as well as items of clothing and yellow lift jackets have been recovered from the sea, as the search of the wreckage still continues at the crash site.

Investigators have confirmed that smoke alarms were reportedly sounding for almost three minutes on board the flight before it plummeted into the sea. Also, Egyptian media have reported that divers have found the blackbox of the plane, which could provide vital clues into what caused the plane to crash just as it entered Egyptian airspace on its journey to Cairo.

A human trafficking victim, Love John, has revealed how she slept with more than 400 men in less than five months in the Sango Ota area of Ogun State.

Love, 22, and her 23-year-old sister, Happiness, were lured into prosti-tution sometime in January by their eldest sister, Mary. The lady also tricked a cousin, Joy Lawrence, 25, promising the three ladies that she could give them jobs that would help them make a decent living.

By the time they discovered that they had been trafficked, the victims said they had become trapped.

Mary and the hotel owner, Mrs. Akpojaro Rose, an indigene of Warri, Delta State, have been nabbed.

According to Punch, Joy Lawrence and another victim fled the hotel on Monday when they could no longer bear the pain they were subjected to.

Lawrence was said to have been brought to the Lagos zonal headquarters of the Nigeria Immigration Service, which then stormed the hotel and rescued other victims.

It was learnt that the ladies collected between N500 and N700 per sex, paid N200 per day for hotel rates, and made about N340,000 in savings within the period.

Narrating her ordeal, Love told Punch that she did not have any formal education because their father died when they were toddlers. She disclosed that she slept with an average of four men a day.

She said, “I was learning tailoring in the village. My sister told me she could help me get a job in Lagos; she didn’t tell me that it was prostitution I was coming to do. After we got to Lagos, she said we should do this (prostitution) job so we can make money to be able to finish my craft as a tailor. I sleep with about four men in a day and each of them pay me at least N500.”

Her elder sister, Happiness, also said she was not aware she had been trafficked until she arrived in Lagos and was introduced to prostitution.

“I didn’t go to school and I have not learnt any trade. I came to Lagos a few months ago. My sister didn’t tell me this was what I was coming to do in Lagos. She said it was a good job,” she said.

Lawrence, who fled on Monday, said she was told she would be trading when she left their hometown in Ogoja, Cross River State.

“I ran away because I didn’t like the work. I don’t want to do it again. I never knew this was the job.”

Chris Brown and his friends were allegedly bounced off a private jet on Monday at the Miami International Airport for smoking marijuana.

According to TMZ, Breezy and his friends were warned by the pilot of the plane not to smoke in the plane but they refused, leaving the man no option but to call in the cops.

The website also reported that although the cops got them off the plane, no one was arrested.

To back up their claim, they put up a video of one of Chris Brown’s friend who uploaded the ordeal with the cops on snapchat.

The singer however denied the claim by TMZ on Wednesday in an instagram video which has now been deleted.

He said, “Marijuana smoke on the plane? I think we kinda learned our lesson. I don’t think we really need drugs on the plane.”

Brown in his defense then said the pilot was the one soliciting for drugs from him and his friends.

“But you probably should check with the pilot, ‘cause he definitely kept asking my homies for an eight-ball, and we definitely don’t sell drugs.

“So I’ma be rich, stay rich, and happy,” he concluded with a grin.

In Akwa Ibom State, 31-Year-Old Woman Killed Her 75-Year-Old Father. See Her Reasons:::

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested one Glory Dan, 31, over the murder of her 75-year-old father, Mr. Bassey Udo.

The murder was said to have been reported to police by village head of Mbiakpan Atan, Chief Linus Okon, in Ibiono Ibom area of the state.
Confessing to the crime, Glory said, “My father has been responsible for the death of all my children, including my two husbands. It was my [late] mother who revealed it to me in a dream when I washed my face and went to her tombstone and cried to her.”

The state Police PRO, Cordelia Nwawe, said on Tuesday that the crime was first reported at ‘D’ Division Itam on May 10 and was subsequently transferred to SCID, Uyo on May 16 for investigation.

She said the complainant alleged that on May 10, at 19:40hrs, he was in his house, when he received a call from one of his subjects that the suspect, one Glory Dan, female, broke into her father’s room, hit him (father) on the head with an object that caused his death.

Nwawe stated that following the report, the complainant and witnesses made their statements and revealed that the deceased was living alone in his house.

“That on May 10, at about 19:40 hours, the suspect armed with a stick, broke into the deceased’s room and hit him to death. They concluded that they heard the deceased screaming in his room; ‘Don’t kill me’.

“The suspect was arrested, cautioned and charged. She volunteered a statement confessing to the crime of murder. She stated further that she attacked the deceased because he was a wizard and also responsible for the death of her five children and two husbands.”

According to a report by Calabar Reporters, the so-called wizard was spotted on the morning of May 12, flying through Calabar Highways.

The alleged wizard was spotted at about 7:50am around the popular Culvert bus stop adjacent to Ikot Ansa bus stop, Murtala Mohammed Highway, Calabar, with a crowd around him. The man, who is between 40-60 years old was lying Unclad by the roadside.

He was muttering incoherently with blood spots on his face and lips.

According to the woman whose house the wizard was first ‘arrested’, she was having her bath that morning around 4:00am in preparation for work when she saw a big kite-like object striking the back of her house with a huge crash. She went out to check what it was and she was shocked at what she saw.

The woman said the man’s face was pale and threatening, so she asked him who he is. But instead of answering, the man spat out a huge lump of saliva which almost got to her. When this happened she raised alarm to get the attention of people around.

When neighbors and passersby came, they started interrogating the man, threatening to kill him. Then, few persons among the crowd recognized the man, while others added that his wife died few months ago. And that he’d lost all his children too, but didn’t stay at that environment but a distance of about a mile apart.

After all the beatings, he was pushed to the highways, threatened to be burnt alive if he didn’t confess what brought him there.

At this point he started confessing: “I killed my wife, children and many other people using witchcraft. And I came here looking for whom to devour”, he said.

A man yesterday has dragged his wife to court accusing her of harassing him and uncontrollably demanding for s*x. The man identified as Michael Motsi brought his wife, Shanangu Motsi, to the Harare Civil Court where he was seeking a protection order against her.

Narrating his ordeal in the hands of the wife, Michael said: “We go to church and I am the assistant headman in Domboshava, Zimbabwe. I married her more than two years ago and she is the second woman I married after my first wife passed away. She forcibly removes my underwear and accuses me of infidelity every time I come home.

“When children from my first wife call, she accuses me of gossiping about her. I tried to seek help from neighbours, our pastor and the police after she threatened to poison herself and our child,” Michael said.

He revealed before the court how he confiscated a pesticide and traditional herbs from Shanangu which she wanted to use to commit suicide. Michael also said they tried to consult their pastor, but the situation has not changed. He begged the court to help him.

In her defence, Shanangu said she was forced to behave in such a way because their s*x life had changed.

“The times we used to have sex have declined and on taking off his underwear I would be trying to show him that I want sex so that I would save our marriage. I ended up suspecting he was having an affair because he refused to oblige.

“I am the one who called the pastor after realising we were going nowhere. I later decided to kill myself because everything I tried had failed,” she said.
She told the court how the husband twisted her finger after she demanded s*x. She complained that she had lost weight because Michael was resisting her sexual advances. Magistrate Ms Tatenda Manhanzva ruled in Michael’s favour and ordered Shanangu to stop the abuse.

A barber simply identified as Chinedu, has accidentally killed his baby after a fight erupted between him and his wife last Thursday Morning.

It happened that there was a minor issue, which escalated to the man and his wife exchanging blows...

As this was going on, the woman carried their three months old baby, thinking that at least this will subside his husband’s anger. But the worst came out of that decision as the baby hit his head, while the mum was evading another punch from the husband.

This unfortunate incident happened at Umuchima, in Owerri West area of Imo State. Umuchima is one of the villages, where off-campus lodges are located in Imo State, for students of Federal University of Technology, Owerri and students of Federal Polytechnic Nekede.

Indigenes alerted the Vigilante Group who arrested the husband. As the man was being questioned, he was shedding tears, after the result of their fight dawned on him.

The man said he regrets marrying his wife, that she lies a lot and doesn't take care of his things at home.

A 62 year old Pastor Isaiah Ojo has been arrested by the Oyo state police command for having sex with the seven-year-old daughter of his friend and fellow pastor, Bidemi (not real name) on the altar of his church, Dayspring Family Chapel situated in the Egbeda area of Ibadan, Oyo state on May 9th.
Tribune reports that the accused was arrested on Thursday, May 12th by Egbeda Division of the Oyo State Police Command.

Narrating her experience in the hands of Daddy Dayspring, as the suspect was popularly called,the victim said

" Daddy Dayspring is my father’s friend. On Monday, my younger brother and I went to greet him. While my brother was playing outside, Daddy Dayspring asked me to lay on the rug.  He laid beside me, removed my underpants and then removed his trousers. He first put his fingers in my private part. He later put his penis in my vagina and I cried. He removed it and blood started coming out. He warned me against telling anyone, saying that I would die if I did. It was when I went outside to urinate that I noticed that blood was coming out of my private part.”she said

Her Father said he had to take his daughter to the hospital when he noticed blood on her pant

 “I was not aware of what happened on that Monday because I attended a revival held by Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Egbeda. On Tuesday evening, I overheard her elder brother saying: “tell Mummy”, but I did not pay attention because I thought it was the usual children’s pranks. It was my wife who told me to check my daughter’s private part and when I did, I noticed that her pants were stained with blood. Thinking that something injured her, I quickly rushed her to the healthcentre; but was surprised when I saw that the blood was coming from her private part when the nurses checked her. She was treated and we returned home.  The following day, Wednesday, we noticed that she was still bleeding so we took her back to the health centre. A senior nurse started interrogating her and it was there she revealed that it was my pastor friend who raped her. She said further that the suspect warned her against telling anyone or else she would die. We are both members of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Egbeda branch, and I have informed the leadership.”he said

A member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Kazaure/Roni/Gwiwa/Yankwashi federal constituency in Jigawa state, Mohammed Gudaji Kazaure is currently hospitalised.

According to The Whistle, the House of Reps member accidentally shot himself on the foot while fidgeting with his pistol.

Kazaure was visited by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Yakubu Dogara.

The incident was said to have happened on Sunday, May 8 in his private residence in Kano state. Kazaure’s cocked pistol accidentally went off and hit his foot in the process.

A source close to the lawmaker said the bullet damaged Kazaure’s three toes, but they were removed at an Abuja hospital. The lawmaker is said to be receiving medical attention at the moment in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Efforts to verify the authenticity of the story proved abortive as most journalists covering the lower house said they were not aware of the story.

A video of Kazaure granting an interview to a journalist went viral early this year after he used his head to describe Nigeria’s comatose economy.

The video catapulted the lawmaker’s popularity not only among his peers, but also the Nigerian public.

A middle aged man, Mr. Christopher Okon, on Wednesday hacked his wife, Mrs. Nsikak, to death during a quarrel over his lover.

It was gathered that the father of five, who resides on Nanka Street, Mile 1 Diobu, Port Harcourt, had allegedly killed the mother of his children while trying to defend his female lover.

Okon, who is a driver with a company in Port Harcourt and a native of Ikot Abasi in Akwa Ibom State, was said to be having extra-marital affair with his co-tenant.
Southern City News gathered that trouble started when the victim, Nsikak, who sold cooked food, came back from the market to find out that her husband’s lover had given food to her (Nsikak’s) children.

When Nsikak questioned her rival on the right she had to give food to her children, it was learnt that the alleged bed-shearer immediately called her lover, Okon.

It was further learnt that on receiving the call, Okon quickly came back and started beating his wife, whom Southern City News gathered, was a nursing mother.

Okon, having gone wild, violently pushed his wife out from the house after beating her and locked the door against her around 2am. It was learnt that the woman collapsed after the push......
