whirlwind7: Pity. Mental illnesses and how distressing it could be.
This reminds me of a certain incident when I was in high school. It was the 90s, the height of the hip hop era, when oversized shirts that goes down to your knees and baggy trousers was the fashion trend.
One late afternoon, and I was hanging around with friends two streets away from mine. There was a mild commotion, and people were pointing at something behind me. I turned around to see what it was, and I froze! Not more than ten feet behind me, this lady was walking slowly towards us...and she was totally nude. I'd say she was in her 20s then. The animated chatter among my friends and I ceased as she stopped right there in front of me. I was so scared, I couldn't move. She was just an arm length away from me.
I just stood there, and we were starring at each other. Then, I didn't know what came over me. I just unbottoned my oversized "lumberjack" shirt and draped it over the lady. I covered her up and tried to button up the shirt front. She muttered something that could have been a thank you, and slowly continued her walk to whatever destination she had in mind. All this time, my heart was pounding so fiercely. I was still tongue tied as my friends made fun of me much later about the whole thing. I was nicknamed "oko Iya were" (husband of a mad woman)
Thank goodness my parents were not home when I walked my bare and skinny upper body home, to get another shirt to wear.
Phinity318: No sir, this is partial privatisation. Alternative funding can come in form of research grants, sports, products manufacturing and products improvement to companies. plenty other ways to.
Seun: The Bible is filled with so many errors, such as internal contradictions, claims which are contrary to science and illogical, failed prophecies, failed promises such as the promise to answer every prayer, etc. It's unlikely that this is any wise Gods's chosen means of communication.

ENUGU—Despite the Supreme Court striking out his appeal against his rival, Rev. Chidi Okoroafor, Rev. Paul Emeka has maintained that he remains the General Superintendent, GS, of Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria.
This came as the GS of the church, Reverend Chidi Okoroafor, said the three-year leadership crisis that engulfed the church should not have been taken to court, but resolved internally.
Rev Okoroafor at a briefing at EVANGEL University, Enugu following the recent Supreme Court ruling which he said affirmed his leadership of the embattled church, said: “In the first place, Assemblies of God by biblical standards and our constitution should not have gone to court to settle an internal matter.
“However, ethics demands that when one takes you to court, you must necessarily answer to show your regards for this quintessential arm of government, the judiciary. This is exactly what happened.
“When our former leader, Rev Paul Emeka, unfortunately took the church to court instead of resorting to our internal administrative set up capable of resolving any issue, the church responded accordingly. ”
I remain GS—Rev Emeka
But at a different briefing in Enugu, Emeka maintained that in as much as the Supreme Court struck out his case based on two technical grounds, the apex court neither pronounced him removed from the position nor declared Okoroafor as the head of the church.
Emeka, however, said he had almost completed processes of re-filing the matter at the High Court to follow due procedure of application and service.
Emeka said: “The judgment of the court has never said I am not the General Superintendent nor did it say Chidi you are the General Superintendent.”
