CelebritiesAttention Guys, Stella Damasus Has A Message For Bloggers And Her Haters... by Flirtyfemi(op):
Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus is always in the news, I guess it's cos bloggers love talking about her, lol.
Well, she's not impressed with bloggers and her haters at the moment, she poured her heart via her blog some hours ago, read post below:
Sometimes I sit down and try to take stock of my life and it's numerous stages. It amazes me to see how far I have come even in the midst of the storm. God is indeed faithful to those who love and serve him.
Growing up was a bit funny for me outside the walls of my home. I grew up in a wonderfully balanced family with a lot of love and care from both my parents who were bankers, my older sisters who taught me so much and even my late kid brother even though his time was short. For some reason I thought there was something wrong with me and I will tell you why. I realized that, in school my name always came up whether or not I was a part of the issue. People just loved to talk about me, most of the time it was more negative than positive. Even if I was not guilty of whatever they accused me of, they would still go on and on. This was such a huge problem to me as a young girl, to the point that I was not able to enjoy boarding school. I thought the world hated me and i did not fit in, and that was when I heard that people called me an "OSU", which means OUTCAST, just because of my surname. That actually made me laugh at the end of the day seeing that most people did not even know the origin or history of my name.

After so many years of being paranoid about what people were saying about me, I finally opened up to my parents. My mother laughed so hard that I wondered if she heard a word of what I said. That was when my father (God rest his soul) looked at me and said "have you taken a good look at yourself in the mirror? Have you not noticed how beautiful you are, or are you saying you do not know you are intelligent"? At that point I just felt it was a normal encouragement line that a parent would give his child to make them feel better, but I soon realized it was far from it. Then he said "can't you see that you are different because you are special? Do you need anyone to tell you how blessed you are?

My mother called me and said "there are three types of people in this world
A: those who were born to be talked about because of who they are
B: those who were born to talk about others because that is all they are
C: those who were born to observe because they don't know who they are

Which one would you rather be my dear?"
I smiled because I knew that I was a TYPE A.

This is how I see it; God the creator sets a mini clock on every human being, he opens his big shopping mall which is the earth. Then he gives us all a shopping list to go into the shopping mall and buy everything on our list. He also sets the clock to a time which he knows should be enough for us to finish our shopping. Bear in mind that everybody has a different list, and from the moment he hands you the money (talent, skills, health, wisdom, brain, etc) and your list, your own clock starts to count.
So imagine that we have all come to this shopping mall, you see Stella walking in and out of shops buying the things on her list. Then you stop and start to laugh at her ugly shoes, you call your friends and start to talk about the old fashioned chair she bought. Stella walks past you again and you start to laugh at her cheap weavon and the fact that there is too much blue in her eye shadow. In all of this you are so caught up in your psycho analysis and gossip about Stella, that you forget that your clock is still ticking away. Meanwhile the person you are talking about is trying her possible best to buy everything on her shopping list, and make it back home early before she runs out of time.
This is what will happen; Stella will finish buying the items in her list, and go home right on time. On the flip side, you who have wasted more than half your own time following someone around, so eventually, you will not be able to finish buying the things on your list before the shop closes and your time is up. A lot of people have filled up the graves with DEAD DREAMS and VISIONS. They spend the life Span and energy God has given them for their own purpose on others and waste time minding other people's business.
It is so sad and painful but most importantly it does not make sense to me especially for adults.
Some people say it is as a result of joblessness but I disagree. I insist that if you have time to talk about others, then you should have time to try and discover yourself, spend time knowing who you are.
What is your purpose on earth?
What are you supposed to be doing at this point in your life?
Are you Satisfied with where you are right now?
Are you doing what you have always wanted to do?
Are you adding value to people around you?
Are you ready to take your situation to the next level?
What do you want to be remembered for?
What are your ambitions?
Have you accomplished up to half the things you set for yourself?

Trust me if you spend your time trying to answer all these questions and work on them, you will find that you won't have time for idle talk, you Will also realize that you don't have enough hours in a day to do the things you really want to do especially the things that you love.

I know who I am and I have no apologies for it. So I hope you will make it out of the shopping mall at the right time with your items complete. http://www.kemifilani.com/2013/09/attentiong-guys-stella-damasus-has.html

As you all know, the Okoye brothers aka P square are presently on a US/Canada tour and they have been good enough to share photos from their on-going tour via instagram with us.

A few days ago, Peter Okoye shared a photo of him with some street hustlers in Canada, he captioned the photo "Now I knw wat it feels like to be entertained. #Streethustle luv dis folks" well, the post did not go down well with a certain twitter handle @MillsMusicEnt; the dude or babe began venting on twitter saying "this is Inferiority Complex at its peak, now I see why you are in2 a Relationship with Lola Omotayo, hope you give birth 2 completely white kids..." blah blah blah!

Being a brave, sweet and good babymama/fiancee that she is, Lola Omotayo apparently told Peter Okoye to ignore the tweet while she played the devil's advocate. See her response below (read from bottom): http://www.kemifilani.com/2013/09/aww-peter-okoyes-fiancee-lola-omotayo.html

CelebritiesYoruba Movie Stars Wage War Against Provision Store In Abeokuta (snapshot) by Flirtyfemi(op): 6:54pm On Sep 16, 2013
This is really embarrassing...little wonder why the yoruba movie industry is not moving forward like Nollywood #JustSaying.
A few months ago, I reported how yoruba movie star, Odunlade Adekola and some other yoruba movie stars beat up four MAPOLY students and a civil servant at Hcord (not too far from one of the Moshood Abiola polytechnic hostels), all because they (students) complained that the noise from the generator being used by the actors during their movie shoot wasn't letting them concentrate - they needed to concentrate for the exams they were having the next day.
Well, the case is still one and the new development is that the association of yoruba movie practitioners ANTP, in Abeokuta, Ogun state, have issued a pronouncement against a particular provisions store opposite the Hcord hotel.
The pronouncement was issued against the store owner for allegedly taking sides with the students during the riot; according to the statement, it's mostly the yoruba movie stars that patronize the womans' store because they use Hcord hotel and its' environment to shoot movies all the time but since she couldn't take sides with them doing the revolt, then she no longer deserves to be patronized by them.
See snapshot of the pronouncement issued on the provisions' store and some other shops in the environs below: I am trying to translate it to English but some of the yoruba words are a bit hard to interprete cos I'm not that fluent in yoruba, lol, so if you can interprete it, please do at the comment section.
The said woman has removed the statement from her shop wall but she's noticed a big decline in sales as the movie stars no longer buy stuffs from her, also some residents have stopped buying her too.
The pronouncement was signed by Odunlade Adekola, Madam Saje, Fathia Balogun, Funsho Adeolu and several others. Will update you as soon as I get more info #okbye!http://www.kemifilani.com/2013/09/kfb-exclusive-yoruba-movie-stars-wage.html

CultureWho Says The Hausas Are Not Nice; My Experience In The North by Flirtyfemi(op): 10:55am On Sep 16, 2013
Yup, just so you know, I have never been outside Lagos and Ogun state, lol.
I have actually been to Abuja twice, Ondo state once, Akure town to be precise to check on my grand mum and also Osun state, Osogbo where I spent a few days with an Uncle of mine who lectures in OAU.
It's not that I don't enjoy traveling but I have not had the cause to visit the North or South besides I didn't ever think of going to the North - of all places.
First: The Boko haram crisis in the Northern states
Second: Grew up with the belief that Northerners are unfriendly
Three: Had the impression that most Northerners/Hausas are illiterates and un-civilized.
I had to visit the North recently but it took God's grace and guts to actually honour the invitation.
As a matter of fact, many of my friends didn't want to me to go, they were like "what are you going to do there...." at some point I became discouraged but I had to fulfill my promise to my host in Jos, Plateau state.
I left Lagos on Wednesday morning and while leaving I felt like I was moving out of the Garden of Eden that God had place me in, into a Lions' den.
My mum and brother saw me off the Train station at Iddo Lagos - BTW, traveling by train is kinda fun, it was my first time traveling with one and it was quite an experience, though it's advisable to purchase the Sleepers or first class coach ticket if you really want to enjoy the trip.
There are three coaches in the train; the sleepers coach (where you have your bed, toilet to yourself, more like a self contained apartment), the first class coach (you don't have a bed to yourself but it's very comfortable too) and then the general coach (for the commoners, it's usually overcrowded).
The journey was supposed to last twenty fours but it lasted about 30 hours if not more...
My first encounter with the hausas was with a dude, David, he was so nice, he helped in obtaining my ticket and carrying my luggage into the train. I also met these three lovely kids, Sodiq, fatima and er---to think that I have forgotten her name, lol.
Oh there was a Yoruba woman in my coach, all she did through the journey was read her MFM (mountain of fire) prayer book.
Day 2, I so wasn't myself, lol
Then again I met another dude, Sheriff (if you are reading this, thank you so much for everything) he got me meals during the trip and made me feel comfortable.
Oh, after having met some nice hausas in the train, I thought to myself that 'well hausas are not that bad" however, when the train stopped in Ilorin around 5:30am on Thursday I wanted to urinate, didn't want to use the toilet in my coach so I climbed down and looked for a spot.
There I saw another man, he cleared his throat and asked "is there a problem" and I told him that I needed to urinate so he saw me off to a tree with his torch light and hung around till I was done.
I said "you are so kind, thankyou" and he blushed after my statement and asked me to follow him...hun follow him to where?
I followed him sheepishly till we got a shed and then he said he wanted to buy me a drink, he entered the shed and began speaking hausa with God knows who.
He probably had good intentions but for crying out loud he's Hausa and I feared that he was probably trying to lure me to a place of no return, plus it was dark so I ran, ran like I was being pursued by a ghost. He came out and was shouting, "come back, i only want to buy you a drink" but I refused, I ran back into the train.
The train further stopped at designated stations in Jebba - between Kwara and Niger stated, and then Zungeru and then Minna, Shakwata, Gwada (their food products are so cheap especially yams, imagine buying ten big tubers of yam for 300naira, in Lagos, one'l buy that for 1500naira if not more), Gwagwada, Tamburawa and Uguwar-dosa.
One thing I noticed about the North is that they have a constant electricity supply!
So like I previously said, the trip was supposed to last 24 hours, that is I was supposed to get to Kaduna on Thursday noon and board a 3hours bus to Jos from Kaduna but we got to Kaduna at around 9pm and getting a bus to Jos at the time of the night was risky.

I knew no one in Kaduna but I had to get off the train cos it was headed to Kano.

That's how I met Mr. Abdulsalam Abdullahi, very nice fulani man who resides in Kaduna; he initially offered to get me a hotel to spend the night but he took me to his home instead.

His brother picked us up at the station.

All through the journey to his home in Birnin road - Kawo, Kaduna, my heart beat so fast, (there were police men and soldiers at designated junctions as part of their tight security in the state) not that I was scared but it dawned on me that I was in the heart of North - if Abullai wanted to sell me off, I wouldn't know because I didn't understand Hausa, lol, oh to worsen matters, my phones kept ringing, family members and friends kept calling to know how safe I was.

Kaduna is a beautiful state, saw beautiful homes, good schools with good structural designs etc.
At his home I met his wives but I spent the night at his hausa wife's apartment, she's a darling.
I ate Tuwo, and the next morning she prepared hot water for me to have my bath and ...she's so sweet! plus the children were amazing and beautiful too.

Mr. Abdullai dropped me off at the park at around 7:30am on Friday and I boarded a SUV Van going to Jos, it took a while before the vehicle was filled up but within the almost 45 minutes I spent there i found that the drivers, traders, passengers there were funny and interesting to be with, they made laugh.

The way they sold their items would almost make you want to buy all their wares even though I was praying hard that there shouldn't be any bomb blast at the park while I was there, lol.
Yours' truly and Sim Joseph, a friend I met in Jos
The journey to Jos, Plateau state was long and boring, it was a four hours' journey but it was like it was never going to end, slept, woke up, slept woke up again and the journey was still on, tried to talking to driver to ask him where we were since the other passengers were asleep but he didn't seem to understand what I was saying. I had to speak pidgin, gosh I hate pidgin!

I arrived Jos safely at the Bauchi Park and the fellas there were nice too, they offered to carry my luggage for me and even when I had no clues on how to get to my destination, the keke napep drivers came in.

Though the keke I chattered doubled the fee price but on getting to the destination, my host gave him the normal fee and he didn't argue.

Spent two nights and three days in Jos, it was fun.

The weather in Jos is cold, really cold and not very sunny - I went to Bukuru, Balan Gwazo, UniJos, Plateau state house of assembly etc...and it was fun being in the midst of the people I once detested and had a negative impression about.

Oh by the way, life in Jos is so easy, unlike Lagos where we have to struggle and rush for everything.

For instance, vehicles/buses actually reverse to pick you up when you flag them down, you could even take your time while working towards the vehicle unlike Lagos where you have to run after the bus or struggle to get in, lol and there is hardly ever traffic in the state.

By the time I left Jos on Sunday morning, I was glad that I had visited the city, and my conclusion about the Hausas is that their language is sexy, and they are NICE!

Lesson for the day is, don't always jump to conclusion about persons you have not met or had an encounter with, just because you have heard or read about them doesn't mean you know them so well but that doesn't mean that all hausas are good anyways, lol.

Can't wait to visit the North again! http://www.kemifilani.com/2013/09/diary-who-says-hausas-are-not-nice-my.html

CelebritiesShe's Not Divorced! Bukky Wright Talks Husband And Kids In New Interview by Flirtyfemi(op): 4:01pm On Sep 15, 2013
All the while, I thought she was divorced - well, she is happily married!
Bukky Wright is one movie star that has waded through testing scandals and controversies that could last her a lifetime, but she is unruffled.
In a recent interview with Tribune, she opened up on her pains and gains of being a celebrity, among other issues, oh by the way she mentioned her husband!

See excerpts below:
Sometime ago you were rated as one of the most controversial actresses in Nollywood; does controversy suit you and does it really get to you at all?
It does not get to me. It takes the grace of God and determination to stay in this kind of profession without going through controversies here and there, but I have never allowed controversies to get to me. I understand the fact that I have a price to pay for being a celebrity. But that does not mean I should start jumping over the place because I am a celebrity or because I want people to know I am still relevant. Those who say I am controversial don’t know me. I am different things to different people. I am sure you would have your own idea of who Bukky Wright is by the time this interactive session is over.

So, who is the real Bukky Wright?
The real Bukky Wright is God-fearing, down to earth, but very blunt to a large extent. The funny thing about this job is that people won’t complain if you act in a movie where you are asked to cry from the beginning to the end. It will surprise you to hear that some of my fans do tell me that when I am crying in movies, they also cry. What that tells you is that I am doing what I have to do rightly, interpreting my roles passionately.
How does your husband react to some of these things?
Most of the time, he does not like seeing or hearing anything about that and he would want me to take an action that would serve as a deterrent to others, but I will say no.
Tell us more about him?
My husband is a perfect gentleman and I thank God for his life. In fact, some people will even use him to blackmail me when I am not taking their scripts. I have been able to carve that little bit of privacy for myself, husband and children. That is how far I can tell you about him.
Why do celebrities like to live fake lives?
I think it is crazy for any celebrity to paint the picture of what he or she cannot achieve five years from now. They call it showbiz and you have to show, but sometimes, you have to put that aside and be yourself. I am not the kind of woman that likes to do what others do. I love to be myself and those who know me would tell you that is Bukky for you. http://www.kemifilani.com/2013/09/shes-not-divorced-movie-star-bukky.html

Car TalkAbuja Young Ladies Now Turn Drivers, Power-bikers, Ushers And Bouncers (photos) by Flirtyfemi(op): 6:30am On Sep 12, 2013
The Federal Capital Territory, Abuja is considered one of the fastest growing cities in the world.
This statement has always been justified through the various innovations the city continues to witness even with the influx of different people into the capital city.
Most girls in the FCT are either engaged in Sugar daddy business, executive prostitution or ‘One Chance’.
This, our reporter said was one of the reasons the FCT administration now uses the Military to harass young girls at clubs and on the streets of the capital city. Those who dress transparently or half-naked are often used as scapegoats.
However, the trend is changing as some journalists recently ran into some group of young girls who now call themselves protocol 101. These young girls have decided to change the trend, and to use their beauty to add colour to the city that is now considered one of the biggest in the world.
The young ladies who were seen in numbers and beautifully dressed were at various events, adding colour, class, grandeur and ‘swag’ to those events.
Recently at various weddings and major events in Abuja, they were been used as pickups and for personal show-off.
They chauffeur VIPs to events, keep them entertained and run various services for such VIPs; who knows what happens in the dark? It is an all female logistic/service group of young, beautiful ladies, consisting of Drivers, power-bikers, Bouncers, Protocols and Ushers.
This is what one of them said,” So much Millions is spent on the stylish looks of couples during weddings as well as the “interior” decorations of Event Venues, leaving out an equally important component of a successful event, the “exterior”. Your movement in and out of an event should be as celebrated as the other components. We are set to bridge the gap. We are bridge builders. We celebrate the “Exterior/Logistics” of every event. Your “memorable day” is not complete without us.”
We were told that one Nicky Nwadinobi is in charge. http://www.kemifilani.com/2013/09/abuja-young-ladies-now-turn-drivers.html

I was always travelling round to different locations. I really missed that.
How has marriage changed your conception about life?
Marriage has made me understand that two heads are better than one. Actually, being in the right relationship is a blessing. Life isn’t a bed of roses, but with a good partner and good people around me, and of course, God on my side, I am always victorious.

What does it take to have a great marriage?
Well, God’s grace, true love, contentment, submission and of course, forgiveness.

People said you were arrogant. Has that changed now that you are married?
Arrogant? There is nothing to change. Or what do you think? Do you say I am arrogant?

But that is what we heard…
People are entitled to their opinions.

Why did you come back to Nollywood?
I never left.

If you never left, what were you doing during those moments that you were out of the country?
I was building my home. I still am.

Now that you are back, would your hubby not complain about the tight schedules and all?
Complain?

Yes, you know men and their attitude
My commander in chief is the captain of the ship while I am the sailor; so, he doesn’t complain. My man is not like the others, and that was why I married him. He is 100 percent in support of my career.
Is Ope Aiyeola still as sexy as she used to be?
To my husband, I am very sexy. I love what I see when I look into the mirror, and you can be the judge of that.

As a married woman, do you still get advances from men?
Most definitely. It just corroborates the fact that my hubby is taking good care of me. People always admire good things, you know?

Do your male fans still harass you sexually?
No one harasses me, but they express themselves; and you know people express themselves differently. So, I no longer see it as sexual harassment.

It was said that Baba Suwe got you pregnant and your husband threatened to divorce you?
Okay nah! There is no air to clear. People know the truth.

So, you never dated Baba Suwe?
All I can say is people know the truth.

On a lighter note, what did your hubby say attracted you to him?
My beauty of course.

Beauty and not intelligence?
Well, what the eyes see comes first before other things.

What’s the most priceless asset that you possess?
That would be my salvation.

Unlike those years when you hit the movie industry, you seem now to be behind in the female fold of leading actresses. Does that not bother you?
Behind? Never! I am ever in front. The results from the break are worth a million years break.

But people say you came back to the industry because you are broke?
Okay!

You haven’t answered my question.
I have answered you. My reaction to this is ‘okay’; or have you got a better answer?

What is Ope Aiyeola up to now?
I have two productions on ground. One of the movies should be released this month and the other in December. They are entitled Agbeko and Jaiye Oba.

What’s your relationship with other female acts, especially Fathia Balogun?
We are colleagues

Just colleagues? Nothing more; you are not even friends?
Nothing more.

I thought you would have settled the issues you had with her years back.
Issues with whom? I have not got issues with anyone. Life is too short for all that http://www.kemifilani.com/2013/09/lessons-ive-learnt-in-my-marriage-movie.html

CelebritiesAww, See Mercy Johnson's Reply To An Obsessing Fan by Flirtyfemi(op): 7:45am On Sep 10, 2013
Oh Mercy!
Apart from the fact that she's got a killer-shape, she is almost if not everyone's favorite Nollywood actress; she is humble - relates well with her fans - and loves her husband (Odianosen Okojie) and daughter (Purity) dearly.
So on twitter a few hours ago, a fan who's probably obsessed with her tweeted at her saying "I will love to be taken care by u and u alone, plz am just a guy of 18yrs and am ready to do whatever u want, I promise" and Mercy Johnson gave him the best reply ever by telling him that he needs Jesus, adding that Odianosen is the tattoo of her life....http://www.kemifilani.com/2013/09/aww-see-mercy-johnsons-reply-to.html

CelebritiesHow Cac's Pastor Kayode Abiara Trained His Children! by Flirtyfemi(op): 9:26am On Sep 02, 2013
Isreal Abiara (a pastor/singer), the third child of Prophet Kayode Abiara - General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church - in a recent interview disclosed how Prophet Abiara raised him and his siblings and it kinda reminds me of my childhood days too!
"It is a great privilege to be one of his children. One thing I cannot forget is that when we were younger, my father dwelt so much on the 10 commandments for us. We were always made to recite the 10 commandments offhand and we watched only Christian movies such as Jesus of Nazareth and Samson and Delilah.
He believes that it is only the word of God that can take a man to whatever height he wishes to attain in life. He also made us to know that he and our mother are the prophets that God has given us to make our journey through life successfully.
He made us to fear God in all our ways. He did not condone truancy and also encouraged us to be hard working. No child was allowed to be absent from school even if he or she was sick. Though we had some people who helped us with household chores, he ensured that we independently carried out our assigned household chores. If we refused, he would spank us. He whipped any child who missed Sunday School. I remember one day when some of us jumped the fence to pluck mangoes in a garden at the back of our house. He caught us in the act and beat all of us.My father used horse whip to correct us whenever we misbehaved. In fact, he used to say that until he saw marks on the back of the erring child, which he or she would show to his children, he would not stop the beating."
Were there things your mates enjoyed then which your disciplined background denied you of?
Yes, there were things we were not allowed to do which our friends enjoyed. For instance, we cannot watch any kind of movies. They were censored. We cannot play any kind of music. It must either be gospel songs or nothing. But as our father began to grow older, the laws are becoming relaxed. Our movement was restricted. Boys were not allowed to receive female visitors likewise girls cannot invite male friends into the house.
How did he grow his children spiritually?
My father made us study the Bible always. He made it a rule that everybody must fast on Wednesdays and Fridays. No cook dared put anything on fire on those days. Even during holidays, he would make sure we were on the mountains to pray. He employed an elderly driver who would drive us to the mountains and bring us back. By the time we combined the prayers on mountains, summer school and youth meetings in the church, the holidays would have ended. I think my father was very spiritual in our upbringing. We studied hard and prayed hard as well.http://www.kemifilani.com/2013/09/how-cacs-pastor-kayode-abiara-trained.html
