I will withdraw my support for Mr President if nothing is done to checkmate Dangote in Nigeria I hate injustice. My background is Process Engineering and I know the dangers involved with chemical and petrochemical operations on human health.. If the Engineer claims Dangote doesn't take health of his workers serious, then FG needs to swing into action and carry out enforcement on the refinery. Dangote can't keep getting rich on blood of innocent Nigerians and be shinning teeth to the camera. Who does that? |
Lagos deserves better honestly.. Anambra can demolish shops and illegal structures but Lagos can't do same. Imagine the effrontery. |
I don't like how Governor Sanwo Olu is allowing the Obi man constutue himself into a nuisance in Lagos.. any news, he'll rush to Lagos and be whipping up ethnic sentiments but when worse incidents happen in his home State Anambra, you won't see or hear pim from the hypocrite. Governor Sanwo Olu please wake up.. take a cue from your counterpart in Edo State that issued serious warning to Obi to stay off his State. Our people are tired of this nuisance behavior everytime. The aggrieved shop owners in Trade fair should head to court, so the Judiciary xan interprete the law to them. Lagos is not a lawless State any nuisance can erect just anything in. |
I pity the ethnic groups in Kwara, especially the Nupes.. the way bandits are killing and kidnapping them now is heart-wrenching. Where is Bukola Saraki and likes who always deny their Yoruba heritage for politics sake.. oya go and beg your Fulani overlords to stop the attacks on Kwara people |
Redeploy the sacked Nigerians to non-existent positions in the other companies under Dangote group while he employs the 2,000 Indians to start work in his refinery.. Nigeria which way?.. where are we heading to in this country?? |
Nice and educative piece.. Dangote right from the onset didn't have good intentions for Nigeria.. part of reasons he sited the refinery in Lekki Free Trade Zone (FTZ). Like I once said here.. FTZs were originally designed for export purposes only.. reason being that they are free zones, free from checks, fines, regulations from the Nigerian State. It's ILLEGAL for petroleum products from Dangote refinery to be sold in the Nigerian market because it's considered in the face of the law as imported product. The Northerners have bastardized everything in favour of their brother and it's sad.. the books are there, anybody can verify what FTZs stand for and the laws governing their establishment. Nigerians should stop using emotions in everything.. Dangote doesn't pay tax to the Nigerian State because of the FTZ but huge chunk of Nigerian tax payers money were diverted to build his refinery. Where is the sense in that?. |
Lagos is not a no man's land afterall.. Invest in your home State to avoid unnecessary noise.. Anambra State Govt. can demolish 2,000 shops and displace thousands of traders without backlash but Lagos State Govt. can't demolish a few shops in Tradefair. Dey play. |
To cover up his attrocities.. he doesn't want unions to expose his dealings because they will be eyes and ears of their national body at his refinery. 2. He intends to use the Nigerian workers in his refinery as slaves while he pays illiterate Indians high salaries. Imagine a Nigerian Engineer earning far below an Indian technician/labourer without degree. The unions would definitely not allow such, reason he wants to shut them off his refinery. |
Dangote a.k.a local champion should stop flouting the constitution of Nigeria and international labour laws. Benefits of Unions to workers are numerous: 1. They ensure workers rights are protected 2. They ensure proper welfare of workers 3. They ensure personal protective equipments (PPEs) and all necessary safety materials in hazardous jobs such as Dangote refinery are provided for workers. 4. In situations of death, they ensure the benefits of their departed members are paid to their families. 5. They checkmate wicked employers that may want to pay workers peanuts for jobs that require more remuneration. Those supporting Dangote should get educated and see the evil lurking in the shadows if the man stops unionism. Shell, Total and likes never stopped unionism because they have respect for labour laws and the right of association enshrined in the Nigerian constitution.. e reach the local champion a.k.a lover of monopoly turn, he started screaming sabotage just to arm twist the Government and unsuspecting Nigerians. |
True true, hunger dey outside. Politicians are just after their own welfare and largesse. You can't build a nation that way. |
How much are the Indians paying you to betray your country?. Shane on you. |
Mr. Obi was just looking for avenue to disrespect the new Olubadan. how can he call a man old enough to be his father "my brother". They can't disrespect their Ezes and Igwes in Igboland but they go about disrespecting Kings of other tribes.. so much for one Nigeria. |
I think Nigerians should rise up in protest against Dangote and his anti-Nigerian business practices.. if he feels Nigerians are not good enough to work in his refinery but Indians, then he should take his business to India and be serving only indians. I don't expect PBAT to fold hands and allow Dangote sack only Nigerian workers (over 800) on Nigerian soil whereas no foreigner was sacked, instead he allegedly employed fresh 2000 Indians to work in his refinery. That is bad now, Nigeria belongs to Nigerians not Indians.. will India Government watch such economic crime happen on their soil and not axe the useless businessman? Omo Nigeria ewo l'ewo?.. na so we go fold hands allow one deranged businessman continue to toy with our future? |
Curious345:According to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and extant Labour laws, you can't employ foreigners to work in Nigeria especially on jobs Nigerians can do. The Minister of Labour, Interior etc. have failed Nigeria and Nigerians. We have been voicing out over the unchecked number of foreigners these so called businessmen are shipping into Nigeria to be working here whereas our own people are either jobless or losing their means of livelihood. What exactly is special about Indians that this Dangote is smuggling them to work in Nigeria? Honestly, I'm not happy with the lackadaisical posture of this Government towards labour law violations and infractions on the Nigerian constitution. We don't support such. |
Dangote wawa man.. you'll learn the hard way. Nigeria is bigger than you, not the other way round. Unions form integral part of Labour negotiations and are constitutionally legal in Nigeria. Go anywhere, you'll get the same response. |
The group should take several seats.. the structures are in Lagos State and Lagos State Government can shut or demolish them if they violate State laws e.g. master plan, environmental concerns etc. The Igbos should stop relying on the centre to misbehave in other people's lands.. whenever they get into positions in Federal, their target is to start encroaching on lands in South West forgetting the fact that they won't be in office forever. |
That's Yoruba culture.. both young and old must pay homage to the Oba and that's done by prostrating or bowing to greet the King (no matter the age). |
I hope the NRC Management will release statement to reassure their customers.. I've embraced road transport. Always on the Abuja - Kaduna expressway week in week out.. na God dey protect person. |
K'ade o pe l'ori kabiyesi.. special regards to the Olubadan. |
She used NYSC allawee to build kitchen whereas her zaddies were footing all her bills through her service year.. make una dey whyne una selves. |
Show up as how?.. is it casual visit or coming to stay for a while? I don't have issue with anyone coming to my place.. but if you plan to stay and chill, you should pre-inform me at least. |
When your instincts tell you something isn't right, then there is a high chance that truly something isn't right. That pounding they are doing at odd hours, around midnight is a pointer that those guys are into really dark stuffs which might affect you being an occupant in same premises. @OP Warn your girlfriend to stay away from those boys.. you know that gender and the way they think. Make she no go pour sand for your garri. |
The exact same thing aliens are doing to Yorubalands in Nigeria.. pouring into Yoruba territories in large numbers to weaken the Yoruba culture and social cohesion among Yoruba people. |
Count your blessings and move on.. that mother-in-law is the type to make marriage hell for you. The man you wanted to marry sef is stupid.. how will he stand by and watch such ugly treatment on his would be bride by the mother?.. @OP Sincerely, thank your stars you didn't marry the weakling.. they would have asked you to be kneeling down to greet toddlers just to make a silly so called mother-in-law happy. He should go and look for slave to marry, not a modern woman with class. |
MC Oshodi you're doing well.. you're obviously far ahead of your critics in terms of planning the future for your kids. Majority of those against you are busy pushing powder, leaving legacy of crime to their offsprings. |
The serpents have started rearing their heads again.. Fubara should ignore the opinionated nincompoops and face governance in Rivers State. He owes PBAT gratitude for restoring calm to Rivers through the decisive State of Emergency declaration. |
Check closely.. there are some outsiders tactically eliminating those Yoruba daughters so they can drag positions in Lagos State. When we tell them to be wise and know what they are doing, they'll be forming woke and liberal. |
I was surprised myself when I saw the denial from baba Obasanjo.. everyone knows he made frantic attempt to get third term in office, even offered money to National Assembly members but his plans didn't materialize. I don't know why our past leaders are trying to rewrite history. |
That Dangote is like a curse to Nigeria.. he has destroyed sources of income of innocent Nigerians, still causing problems in every economic sector he ventures into. He will destroy the Nigerian Petroleum sector eventually if allowed to get monopoly over every dam.n thing in the Petroleum sector. I won't say much cos it's like most Nigerians are just helpless on the Dangote matter. Unions are legal, they form integral part of labour and employer interaction.. for one person to wake up one day and decide he wants to cancel the union should raise alarm that something terrible is cooking. |
There is a third party influencing your wife, making her act the way she is acting towards you. @OP I think you're the carefree type, cos the first thing you should have done was to find out about her whereabouts whenever she leaves the house. If the third party is a guy, she'll look forward to fights with you so she can leave to be with him. |
