helinues:Importation kills local manufacturers and local industries.. Reason most sensible Nigerians especially in SW rejected likes of Peter Obi at the polls who are pro- importation. PBAT at a time referred to Obi as "Mr Warehouse economy who knows nothing else but to import". The power to revive all those sectors lie with the Ministry of Industry and economy.. the foreigners are tactically funding the Trade side of that Ministry, neglecting the Industry wing cos their interests lie with trading of their own products from overseas.. It's left for Nigerian government to fully empower the Industry wing of that very important Ministry of government for things to work and for employment opportunities to spring up within Nigeria. |
helinues:Like I said earlier, you can't stop importation completely but you can discourage it by promoting local content, local manufacturing and local patronage of made in Nigeria goods and services.. It's a complex something sha.. you can check Customs website for items classification, HS codes with their import duty and levy. It's called Fiscal Policy and is reviewed every 5 years if I'm correct. The world is now a global village.. our destinies are intertwined with other nationalities.. Good example is the subsidy removal in Nigeria that has affected the whole of West Africa. |
helinues:Nigeria is signatory to so many international treaties like AU, ECOWAS, OPEC et al. So nohow to completely stop importation of goods (even those produced within Nigeria) cos of free movement already signed by government. You saw what border closure almost caused for us with condemnations left, right and centre. Nigerians too are not helping matters.. you'll see Nigerian millionaires and billionaires who prefer to "japa" and go live among racists abroad than invest in Nigeria.. the opportunities they are leaving behind in Nigeria have been hijacked by foreigners who are now cashing out big time. The African free trade agreement will allow them export goods to other African countries (about 54 countries) while Nigerias are there packing oyinbo shlt in UK, US and Canada because of foreign currency.. Slave mentality I tell you. |
budaatum:You try it first and see.. for them to release your corpse (which we don't pray happens) to your family go be issue. |
Livestock business is a private business for God sake.. FG should not give undue advantage to those into livestock farming. If you must farm livestock, then do so in a confined space like ranch or fenced area so the animals don't stray into other people's properties. It's that simple. I don't understand all the ceremony and plenty talk over livestock farming. |
No I won't.. I'll just use the exit and go elsewhere |
Fear government abeg.. see big man of yesterday that wanted to curb vote buying. This life! |
@OP He wasn't arrrested.. Stop spreading lies. They manhandled him which could have been avoided had it been the correctional officers allowed due process in transfer of detainee. |
Yes, though I wasn't the one driving but was at the front seat beside the driver. The man was a driver with experience, immediately he noticed the failed brakes, he didn't accelerate but was using the hand brake to gradually slow down the car. Thank God he wasn't speeding at the time. |
Cooly100:Maybe you don't know everything you do is being monitored, your travels, hotel check-ins etc. as far as you're within the shores of Nigeria. How many herders killings have you heard of late? Power has changed hands. |
Live and let others live.. only a greedy person will have that "dominate other tribes" mindset. If you are okay with what you have, you won't think of encroaching on other people's rights. The average Yoruba person is okay with his/her peace.. all other things are secondary. |
Ala ti o le se.. you want to disband the secret police in Nigeria responsible for national security? |
The woman no get sense.. her own is to be defending evil. We all remember the Chibok girls issue she was using to make noise back then, just recently we heard about 10 Igbo girls were killed by Ipobs to make juju, the hypocrite was silent. Every monday sit at homes in the East, she won't say anything but let one small headline come out from other regions, she'll start running mouth again. Is it that kind of person you'll take serious?? |
I feel Prof. Mahmoud made the mistake of not delisting Obi right from the onset.. One major attribute of failures/losers is that they always want others to fail and be like them no matter what. Don't be surprised Obi and his followers are well aware that he lost the 2023 elections but the thought of a Yoruba man in person of PBAT winning is making life unbearable for them. Left for them, Atiku that came second should be declared winner. |
BoldBrainz:The correctional guy is even lucky the DSS men didn"t open fire.. who knows maybe stray bullet for hit Emefiele make he kaput. |
The correctional officers goofed big time.. they ought to know DSS can't just release Mr. Emefiele outrightly, there are steps and documentation that will take place first before his transfer to correctional services. I feel Emefiele's lawyers had it all planned to make sure their client leaves DSS custody today today.. It doesn't work that way |
Back2Daura:That'll mean that he is ready to be Kanu's roommate in DSS custody.. you'll be surprised to see the number of youths that will rise against Obi mob to defend Nigeria's democracy. Make una dey play. |
Chiffy:Our collective sweat as Yorubas was used in building Lagos from the days of Awolowo.. the Lagos you see today that is entering you and your people's eyes is the brain child of our own forefathers. So all Yorubas including the ones outside the shores of Nigeria have a say in the affairs of Lagos (ilu Eko). |
Atlantis585:No jupiter can remove the president.. highest Atiku will get to be president of Arewa republic. |
joba4luv:God is not evil like you presume.. HIS wrath will surely catch up with you and your fellow rumor mongers. Amen. |
Chiffy:You no get level anywhere.. stop deceiving yourself. A Yoruba person from Benin Republic or Togo has more rights than you an Igbo in Lagos.. Na confam I yarn you so. |
Removing the righful winner of the recently concluded presidential election can spell do0m for the country.. that's M.K.O 2.0 and won't be accepted. |
Who will help the killer herders now?.. una see how tables dey turn ba?. |
Chiffy:Yorubas are one and indivisible.. you can go ahead and hug a transformer if e pain you. |
GreyLaw:Oga go and sleep.. The bodies have been clarified to be unclaimed bodies by the Lagos State Ministry of Health and not the false narrative your likes put out initially. Get a life fam. |
realmindz:Na our Yoruba people dey tolerate their nonsense, I have been saying it and will keep saying it.. Just because they want to appear as saints and politically correct, they'll be using Yoruba heritage and jobs to do father xmas for people seeking their downfall. The Northerners came out en masse to resist Ipob agenda in FCT, even got to a point they violently attacked Igbo investments and burnt most to ashes. |
ehikwe22:Fvck off my mentions. |
realmindz:It's envy.. as they couldn't install the other arindin in EluuP as governor of Lagos, they are now digging dirts like LekkiLies up to rubbish the state government. Meanwhile none of those musicians turned endsars activists from Igboland have asked questions about Akwuzu killings.. not a single one among them. Hypocrites. |
Leave plenty talk.. tell your Governor to wise up and embrace Yoruba identity. It's time to drop the woke city nonsense. Some unfortunate ones are hell bent on turning Lagos upside down to score cheap political points. It's time to guard everything concerning Lagos jealously from outsiders. Give Yorubas and other indigenes all the positions up till cleaner and watch the madness die natural death. Remember the Igbo lawmaker that erected billboard warning likes of Phyno and Flavour to stay off her state and go protest in their state of origin?.. That's is the kind of treatment outsiders should be getting in Lagos. |
Dshocker:Always beg God for 'understanding' in your prayers cos you lack it.. you read but can't comprehend. |
The enemies of Lagos state at work again.. the beatings and severe injuries they got during last governorship election took them by surprise. The recent warning by Aare ona kakanfo Gani Adams thwarted all their evil plans for Yorubaland. It's there in history that gallant Yoruba soldiers took Ojukwu head on and destroyed his dream of biafra without mercy simply because he (Ojukwu) dared marching into Yorubaland to annex Yoruba territory for Igbos under pretence of fighting war. It's the same thing we are seeing the Igbo offsprings do today, when real problem starts now they'll start playing victims. They won't mind their own lands and issues but will be running after other tribes, pointing accusing fingers here and there looking for who to kill.. just like Nzeogwu, Ifeajuna and co. did in the sixties. |
Samson would have lived till a ripe age if not for the pretty Delilah that sold him out by revealing his source of strength to his enemies.. One thing I admire about the story of Samson is his strong resolve in face of death when he begged God for strength to take his enemies along with him to the grave. Christians can learn a thing or two from Samson, be strong, smart and keep your secrets secret no matter who is asking, you might just be in bed with your worst enemy without knowing. |
