One year is usually fine on the principle that you cannot use the return leg after a year so why allow student waste money ........ one year is usually allowed if your program is more than a year

Haha. I understand. Pure mathematics looks like quantitative philosophy. Purity, abstraction, rigour, and beauty are central. For all its abstraction, very deep results in number theory have found use in cryptography and cyber security. Graph theory is used extensively in traffic modelling in transportation engineering. Pure mathematics is God's way of talking with men.

I also have two that got approved today on partial scholarship. One was brief while the other was tasking.

My thinking is that been substantially funded not only shows ability to pay your bills over there, but also alludes to academic credibility as it takes a lot more to get funding.

Program: MS Mathematics Bowling Green State University. Fully funded.
Visa approved yesterday morning in Lagos.

Me: good morning.
VO: your I-20 and passport
Me: hands them over
VO: where are you going?
Me: BGSU for a masters in mathematics.
VO: Alright. What area of mathematics?
Me: Applied and computational mathematics
VO: Really?
Me: Yes.
VO: types profusely. Then asks " are you traveling alone?".
Me: Yes
VO: okay, take this, go to this address and pickup your passport in three days.
Me: Thanks.

The whole thing lasted less than two minutes. Visa status was Administrative Processing the whole of yesterday. Changed to ISSUED this afternoon. Shout out to Brown2Green and dreambound, una 2much.

Oh..that lady..that wasn't my interviewer..My interviewer was the other white lady around the middle.

She denied one man (with honeywell noodles top) and his family after she asked him how much your flight costs and he was thinking ..

I haven't checked today.. Yesterday immediately after I got approved I checked my status...it showed that my case is on necessary administrative processing..I asked and was told that that is the normal step b4 it is issued..

Okay, same here too. I was approved yesterday in Lagos but my status is still in AP. I will be sharing my transcript as soon as it goes to "issued". Thanks a lot.

So my school is an expensive school.. received up to $40300 total in aid but still had around 20 left.
