Nice... can you mention one or two of your study techniques for full comprehension, assimilation, and recall? Basically, how do YOU study?

My study techniques are very simple, first and foremost I don't miss class, I always strive to sit in front during class, if you are observant you will notice that many at times a lecturer is taking his or her lectures, most of what the lecturer is saying might not be found in the materials he or she handed to the students, so basically I write down things and do some recordings too. Basically my classmates normally call me secretary because I tend to catch everything that was said. Another study technique is I make it a point of duty to have one or two questions after lectures, most times I might be invited for further explanation from the lecturer.
So while I'm doing all these I don't bother going through the materials given by the lecturer until exam approaches, I was parts and parcel of the lecture, the information has sank in.... Now during my intensive revision once exam timetable is out I try to look for a key just like you have a door key... this is what I mean, all the information I have acquired during my time of study I look for a simple event or incidence I will tag it on so that once I'm in the exam Hall and I recall the event and how I tagged all my knowledge for that course there, my brain opens and it will be as if my lecturer is dictating for me while I write...I even go as far as recalling how the lecturer addressed the topic and my question the day it was taught....
So this techniques is simple for me but might be difficult for someone else to practice, I discovered myself after I copied whatothers were doing (going for night class to study) for one full semester with out yielding much success.

There's nothing like an evil course or else if you are struggling in the department you're in... this is where many students gets it wrong, being in the wrong department, it will make you not to enjoy school, it's expected you allow school pass through you, then you pass through school. It won't be fair if one is missing in the picture. For example, if you're not good in mathematics and calculations, and you find yourself in Engineering department, physics department, mathematics department etc, what do you think your time there will be? ....Hell !!!
So many students are performing poorly not because they are not intelligent but because they are in the wrong department. So it's up to you to know if you are in the right department or not.
Although there are some courses that requires maximum attention, I'm not taking that out...
I wish you luck my friend, you will eventually conquer and we will welcome you into another phase with open arms.

Back then in school, I don't waste my time reading when exam timetable isn't out yet, it took me one whole semester to discover what works for me, so I don't try to copy others...my secret is that I pay good attention to lectures and make sure I grab the vital points, after that I won't go back studying because I see that as a waste of my time since I'm good at assimilating at first glance. Once timetable is out, and I have exam a day before or the next day that's when the spirit of reading and carrying out extra research comes in....I will spend the entire day in my room studying... the first time I tried it, I thought I might not be able to grab everything within that short time, but I noticed that once I'm in the exam Hall, everything starts replaying. I was even shocked by my ability to attempt all the questions successfully....
From that day, I decided to continue that way and I graduated....So Op is right, look for what ever works for you, don't copy others, back then I only go to class at night for browsing and downloading new movies... I understood myself.

This forum has turned into something else, up to 60% of information posted here are false and unverified, you will find some Op(s) posting stuffs like; " See what the girl I met today did to me, How a mother of two molested her son, How my landlord son deceived me and slept with me, etc", these are mainly false, once you open the thread you will observe that the information or message aren't coherent and meaningless especially if you are the smart type, they might manage to attach one or two images to make it look convincing but if you are observant you will detect the Op only made up the story for his or her personal gain, we understand that the hustle is real especially for bloggers but many have rather preferred to post a wrong and misleading information and most times defame a person just for the purpose of driving traffic, it's not only peculiar to Nigerians alone even whites do that but my concern is Nairaland because I have been on this thread long enough to understand the decay she's undergoing especially in this area.
I think Seun needs to work on this forum so that it's not everything cooked by Tom, dick and Harry that will gain access to be on the forum for people to see. A Limbo should be created, what ever thread one creates can only be viewed by the person until it passes verification for public consumption, so doing it will help limit the number of garbages flooding the forum.

This forum has turned into something else, 96% of news posted here are false especially this type by the OP only 4% might be genuine. How can someone cook up something with the sole intention of driving traffic when that is false.

Everything about UNN is dope, even her school anthem....I miss the stupid rush for grades, in UNN even the dullest or lazy person must open his/her books to study once exam timetable is out.... The good thing is put any unn student in the mix of students from other Unis you will tell the difference immediately, they are the true definition of adaptation and smart thinking....No be hype, I attended both Unizik and UNN....I can tell you the difference.
Unn is hell, if you make first class in Unn, you can make first class in any school in the world.
That school has a different spirit entirely that posseses her students once they step their foots in Nsukka or Enugu campus, only you will advise yourself that you are wasting your time, you need to buckle up,no one will tell you to... especially when over 85% are bookworm.... the funny thing is the same way you prepare for post ume is the same or even more than you will be studying as long as you remain a student of Unn.
In terms of frustrating students, the school will tutor you with out you knowing it how to build surviving techniques. Finally you will allow the school to pass through you before you will be allowed to pass through the school..
