Please I would like to know if minors (including ones under the age of 14) can create their own accounts on the Ustraveldocs platform to get appointment dates for their B1/B2 interviews or they have to be attached to their parents' or guardians' accounts? Also, at at the interview stage is it a rule that they must be accompanied by parents or guardians?

Every applicant should have their profile. Even if their parents already have visas. Open a profile for the child and book an appointment. The parent will take the child to the embassy for the interview.

pls. when did you submit for IW, I have a trip lined up next month -aug, was hoping I wud get late aug or early sept dropbox date, but with this ur revelation now, I don't want to pick a date, and they come and bump it forward to early aug..to then clash with my trip

You can reschedule though so go ahead with your trip.

Guess I may have to do this, but what will change being that with repeated calls and emails they claim to have sent me temporary password to their emails which I never have received (inbox, spam, all checked ). Besides they said by August a new system will be replacing Ustravelsdoc -how then can one reconcile this issues. hmmmn ! I presently am the only one with a date.
I wonder if there is any other route to this and hoping this will not impact already paid MVP Fees for d kids which am not sure are linked to their applications etc.
I think I missed it a bit when I took a few "lines/advise" from Commenters here stating that each applicant must have a CGI profile at the onset only to learn much later that its not so for minors. I would have just completed the whole thing on my profile with kids as dependants going along which I was doing before the update and other complexities here that got me to this point.

Yes, your children need separate profiles as said by the call center. I can 💯 confirm this.
There is something you are not doing right. Like someone suggested hand this over to someone that can do this more efficiently. Just stay there with the person while it is sorted out.

Yes. It usually takes 24hrs to get approval. So check your mail.

Please if you are unable to login into your CGI Profile suddenly a the platform keeps rejecting email and password you have used and you have called and sent emails to their Customer care and they keep saying they have sent you temporary passwords to your email and you are NOT receiving it and have checked your Junk/Spam mails nothing. What Else can the person do or How else can one contact them to enable one regain access to CGI profile to schedule his Appointment. Its already exhausting I must say. please help required.

You mean this hasn't been sorted out? This is getting confusing. Maybe you should give the portal a few days break then try again.

I want to book an appointment for IW with a soon to be expired passport.cosbof the delays in renewing a nigerian passport, i dont want to wait till i renew the passport to start the IW process...hence my concern if i can go ahead to make payment and schedule IW date with old passport nos ....hopefully my new passport will be out b4 my IW date...so the visa would be fixed on the new passport

If the old passport does not have 6months validity then don't bother. Go get a new passport.

It's part of the requirements if you are going for medicals you will be asked for your vaccination history. But if unable to provide they will decide the vaccines you need to take as an immigrant. But this covid vaccine stuff was stated as a requirement in my visa interview mail.

You guys ehn. The fire raged this way cos nobody was around. They had a service this morning in their campground near rccg camp. So basically no one was around to quickly alert the fire service until the fire was very visible. That auditorium is massive so it could have started from a small office before it got out of hand.

* Being aware that I as principal applicant had already scheduled an Appointment for myself , If I proceed to complete a NEW DS160 form will I be required to pay a New Visa Fee to enable my appointment remain . Please I need to know if I will be required to pay a new visa fee if I fill another form as I already have an appointment scheduled.

Hi, I think you are confusing yourself a little bit. We have explained in detail what you need to do. Please call the embassy again, carefully explain what you want then listen patiently while they walk you through it. Have their passports handy when you call.

I asked cos I thought it was student visa. Well you can't present the docs but they can sponsor the trip if you are a minor. If you are a graduate and working, please don't bother.

As at April 2024 that I had my medicals at qlife, I didn't take the booster shot before that time and I had my medicals done. I only went with my record of previous COVID vaccination. If further in doubt, send them an email for clarification.

Earliest date for lagos is December.

This is the same appointment scheduling page i have been seeing since i answered the IW questions. I thought approval should come via email before i could see IW dates.

I have not received such email since 12th June when I initiated the process though I saw a part which says approval for IW appointment could take 10 business days(I don’t know if this is valid).

Call the embassy and verify this. This date should be IW. Normal interview is now far gone into 2025.

If you are seeing dates it means you have been approved for scheduling date. I know Lagos drop box might be in November now. Abuja might be August 2024. So what are you seeing?

please am still awaiting resolution of access to my kids profile and error message of "their details being linked to an exiting profile in database. which the email quoted happens to be my mail though. I tired calling and speaking with the Agents (several I spoke to as a matter of fact)and each promising to send temporary password without doing it and have just recently sent an email respectively for both to their support email.
Please I want to know how long from the date of sending email with their Biodata and error messages would they get back/resolve ?
I really dont know why its hard for them to resolve the above issues.

Also I have gotten for my own Scheduling approval to book a date, so please given the situation can I Schedule mine first or wait to resolve their issues? also is their a time lapse to when I can use the link sent to me to schedule mine? As I will ordinarily want to attend the Visa Interview same time with my children.

Did you try to open a new profile for them with new emails?

Did you remove them as dependents in your own profile? If no then you have to do that.

Did you at anytime use agents to apply for visas? If yes, it is possible the email was changed. You might have to ask the agent.

Also check your spam box for important emails.

You need to fill a new form. Also don't forget to update your profile with the changes. ( New form code and kocation). No need to pay fees.

I answered all the IW questions and next thing it took me to fee receipt so i wasn’t sure if I have already requested for their approval just by answering the IW questions and confirming that I am eligible.

This is a single application.

But please does application with dependent(husband main applicant and wife as dependent) automatically mean no IW appointment approval?

Imput your receipt and follow the prompt from there. If you are applying as a family then you need to create profiles for each person using their individual emails.
