It is never correct to attempt to put a man in a woman's shoes on issues of marriage. A man is a man, and a woman a woman, they both have their roles in the union.

Yes they are equal beings in God's sight but in a marriage each one must take his/her place with the Word of God as guiding principle.

I am a christian and certainly not an advocate of polygamy but I am not comfortable with this medernistic trend of putting man and woman on the same pedestal in a marriage.

Your first assertion is right. Polygamy satisfies the selfish of the man.
Second assertion is wrong. I said, if religion permits so, will men be happy as second-husbands. A way of putting polygamous men into the shoes of the women they knit-together as co-wives.
