The problem is will these buses get into the streets? From Apapa Airways to Creek Road? From Masha to Bode Thomas Will the ferries move on Road? What are the alternatives? I understand the security aspect of this ban sha. |
calabardick:You are wrong, the OP's wife knows that he is married to a grown ass boy! If she had told him, he will nag her to death if she tells him he got a yeast infection, he will accuse her of being a slot! He will tell her parents that she has wide pussy and tell his parents that their daughter-in-law has a smelly under. He will tell her neighbours that she is a loose woman. He will give her silent treatment for 3 months! All because of mycoten. The OP has verbal diarrhoea, he is not man enough to run a home. Imagine saying “I drop money for her and the son”. When he realises his mistake after embarrasing the woman both in private and in public, he will justify his actions with “I have temper issues”, “we laugh and make up”, “we have been together for 50 years so we understand ourselves”, “I still eat her food” and blablabla. The woman is simply watching out for herself. She knows she is as good as a single mum without a viable partner so wants to take care of herself by herself. The OP is evil. And his wife knows! |
Superstition is caused by lack of structural education, extreme poverty, religious fanaticism and corruption. No society can develop if it’s people are deprived basic human rights such as access to education, health care and social protection. |
uncastableodd:I have read everything you wrote here. You a just a very irritating human being! #spits |

Let me emphasize on a few things: 1. I do not fault one child policy in the cause of Daisy’s death. I do believe that every sensible government should do what they can to control their population according to their resources. China was in an economically bad place in the 80s hence their urgent need to take care of their population. Now that things improved, they relaxed their policy to accommodate two kids per home. 2. I blame Daisy’s ignorant parents for her death. They loathed her and their too much favoritism for a male child ruined Daisy's self-esteem and self-confidence. I believe that every child (male or female) should be gratefully accepted and treated with respect. No child is better than another. Men and women are equal as they are both unique in their own ways and each have their own unique role to play within any given family or society. 3. We as Africans have an entirely different concept friendship, marriage, death and other things to the Chinese people. So a lot of these things may not be understood by you looking at it from the African perspective. 4. Finally, in your comments, please be gentle. Thank you for reading |

My friend ChenYuHua (Daisy) died on Wednesday. Official Cause of Death: Suicide She was at work on Monday, took leave for Tuesday but never returned. Daisy lost a “huge” investment in late November (money that she told once me she was saving to buy a house) so she planned it and took her life! But I know this strongly, that the investment loss did not kill Daisy, depression did! Investment loss was just the trigger. I have known Daisy for about 3 years and we became quite close about one year after when we formed a click of 4 friends. The four of us would eat together at the refectory almost every day and would hangout after work most weekends. Although she was socially withdrawn, I never thought she was in a desperately bad place until it happened. Usually, I assumed that because she was very short, she always wanted not to be trampled on or disregarded. Daisy told me stories, stories that I never really attached any strong meanings to, until she died. See eh… She was born in a rural community in Lanzhou Province. At birth, her parents did not really accept her because she was a girl. But they held on to her until about 4 years later, when her brother was born and she was given away to another local family (because of one child policy) to raise her. There she went to school and later graduated with a diploma. Some of her stories had included how she went back to her birth family when she as in higher institution, but she never got along with her parents (dad especially). She tried bonding with them a few more years, started going less regularly. They never included her in any family events, marriages, decisions etc. One of the times she visited home, they had opened a big supermarket but no one told her, they don’t even need her money. So she traveled very very far away from home to my city to start work, and maybe a new life! She eventually stopped visiting home. This means to me that, she has struggled for acceptance both with her adopted family and her biological family. She also admired the relationship I had with my mum despite being far away and would say things like “they don’t miss me”. Daisy is dead and I am still in shock, we all are. But as in a culture, nobody really talks about it in the office. So to stay safe, I just stick to my side of the story, grieve for her and try to move on. Daisy, I pray you at peace is in a better place now. I miss you! ![]() |
Answer: No, not in this generation. If we are lucky and if Jesus tarries, before the next 10 generations. |
You need to understand that the machine called a lie detector is nothing of the sort. It is a stress detector. When used properly, it can show the sudden surge in stress when someone is confronted with a fact that they know of, but are claiming not to. An important part of a polygraph test is establishing a low stress background against which a sudden surge in stress can be measured. I can see no way that a man dragged against his will into a polygraph test would have a low background stress level against which to notice an increase in stress. The operator, who knows well that a null result will not favour his financial future, is not an impartial witness and is strongly motivated to return the result the person paying is hoping for. No court accepts polygraph evidence, and many lawyers regard it with contempt. As do I. I see it as pure superstition, 20th century witchcraft. Quora |
She could still marry if she wants to. She might even be engaged already. It's never late! If she is into kids, she might soon adopt and be able to send the kid to an elite school. The making of a star kid comes with money - fact! Besides na this kind late dey get money to take care of her parents, pamper them, take them on vacations etc I'm happy for her abeg |

Well, yes! In ideal situations.... Woman can own properties Woman can write their own wills. Woman can build business empires etc But in Nigeria today, many families now are only supported by one income - usually the man's. Many women in Nigeria are not financially independent. How can she write will? What will she will? The women lack lack funds to get their lives all together sef, not to talk of will. Also, the typical African man has a huge ego! That needs to be massaged by the woman that depends on him for her survival. So he will put up a fight if he senses his “power” is about to be taken away from him. The men thrive on “submission”. A will-writing woman is definitely not “submissive” ![]() |
Pls there is a lady (I think) who runs a logistics business (moving things) within Lagos. Pls someone help me, remind me her name or quote her for me. I want to reach her. Thanks. |
The heaviest caskets are the ones carrying kids RIP little one |
Is handcuff a private property? Where did Davido and his squad the get handcuffs from? What other weapons and gears do they have? Oh well, in Nigeria anything goes. Anyway, the girls were foolish too. |
DenreleDave:Lol. You completely took me off balance. Thanks for your complements o. I was waiting for typical NL responses like you don dey old o, shakara don end, shiloh 2050 blablabla, you know how you guys here do it. So I was equally charging up by asking you small small questions ![]() I was 22 at the time I walked away from my ex. Hehehe I tried getting into other relationships after but they were not successful. The guys I liked, didn't like me (enough). The ones that liked me, I didn't like them (enough). But the older I grew, the more matured I became, the more understanding I got, and the more relaxed I became. LolBy 28, I was working and seeing small money. My interest was diverted. I have never really been a social media person, only Nairaland and very very few times Facebook, maybe twice in a year. Lol. I started travelling, seeing the world. I started understanding more about life and relationships and marriage. As a bookie, I was also advancing academically and “career-rically” ![]() Then luckily, when I was “not looking”, I found Mr Right! Hurraaaaay. Feb 2020 is the date. I wish I can share our pictures and things we have been able to achieve together, or the picture of my future mom-in-law and me eh. But no, lemme keep it. The thing is just shaaaking me ![]() Do I regret leaving my ex - NO He was a good guy but he would not have been able to protect me from his mom when wahala starts coming. His mom would have literally dictated how our lives run. Also thinking about it now, if I married him, I would have just settled in early with life, nothing big, just making babies and getting by. Lol Really, I am happier now. Thanks for asking for me for my story politely. Cc: Luminouz, bro I sight you. Wo hen hao a! ![]() |
DenreleDave:Lol. Reminding me my age. World pipu ![]() I am more than 30 sir. Do you have a problem with that? |
DenreleDave:No sir. Why do you ask? |
My boyfriend's mum was too domineering. Whenever I went visiting, I noticed how she relates to her husband and her kids. My boyfriend couldn't resist her. He even submitted all his salary to her. I could not imagine her as my mum-in-law. I let him go 2009. |
Ykc2:How is your story related to the thread? Egypt Air is not a Morrocan Airline but Egyptian (clearly writren), they are also a member of StarAlliance. You don't have to rubbish the airline. Just wish the girl well. |
