DukeNija:

Did it stop overheating after the mechanic fixed it? My guess is it didn’t. If both your fans are working, then I’m almost certain your heater core is clogged and water isn’t passing through for cooling. Try turning on the heater in your car, if the heater is working then it must be something else. If not, that’s the problem. What most Nigerian mechanics will typically do is to change the radiator to a bigger cell for more water volume.
The ideal thing is to flush the clog with a radiator flush, and then drain the coolant twice using water with the heater turned on. Then filling the radiator with fresh coolant or water(9ja way). This will fix it permanently.
Thanks, they connected the both fans to start again the same time washed the radiator.

So far non issues yet.

Still observing.

Hello GAZZUZZ

I have a nagging issue with overheating on my Lexus es300, it overheated and mechanic worked on it but then I carelessly forgot to close the cover when topping water and it overheated again.

Luckily I noticed the temperature and shut the engine on time, mechanic came, check it and said everything was okay and topped the water. wahala now is notice the coolant reserve boiling steaming hot when I after like 40 minutes of driving with the AC.

The water returns back to the reserve with the temptature needle still in the middle also.

What can do to fix this?

Phones / Tips To Improve Battery Life Of Your Device by flyingdagger(m): 7:55pm On Jul 02, 2020
we know that there are a number of factors that contribute to poor battery life on our Android phone. Thinner bodies, brighter screens, faster processors, more background software, and speedier internet connections all take their toll on phone batteries.

To improve the battery life of your Infinix Note 7 here are some practical tips to make sure you get a little more power time out of each charge.

1. Take Control of Your Location

The most drastic way to improve your phone’s battery life is to shut off the GPS function entirely. In reality, though, that’s not usually practical. Therefore, we instead recommend taking control of how your phone and apps use location.

2. Switch to the Dark Side

You can take advantage of this in many ways. You can begin by applying a dark wallpaper, enabling a system-wide dark theme and enabling the night mode on compatible apps.

3. Turn Off Automatic Wi-Fi

The Infinix Note 7 comes with a feature that continues to look for open Wi-Fi networks even when you’ve disabled Wi-Fi. To turn it off,

open Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi. Under Wi-Fi preferences, click to turn off the Option for the Turn on Wi-Fi automatically.

4. Limit Apps Running in the Background

Most apps we use are active even after you exit them. That’s where Android’s app-specific battery tools comes in.

With a simple switch, you can completely restrict an app from accessing the battery in the background.

Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications and there, inside the specific app’s page, tap Advanced > Battery > Background restriction.

5. Manage Background Data Access for Each App

Similarly, you can cut off data access for apps you don’t think should use it in the background. To get to this setting, follow the steps in No.4 above but instead of Battery, select Data Usage.

6. Monitor Misbehaving Apps

Your battery life can take a big hit if an app doesn’t work like it’s supposed to. This could be caused by anything from a bug to a deliberate aggressive background feature. You can check this by heading into Settings > Battery > Menu > Battery Usage to see which apps have drained the most of it and then disable the app.

7. Turn down the screen brightness

A smartphone’s screen is the component that typically uses the most battery. Turning down the screen brightness will save energy. Using Auto Brightness probably saves battery for most people by automatically reducing screen brightness.

To achieve that,

Go to Settings > Locate display and click on it > then tap on Adaptive brightness to activate it.

Depending on how d fone fell it could have happened to any brand even d almighty samsung. Lets stop being sentimental and judgy towards transsion. True dey give no value for money bt d issue of screens could ve happened to any brand. Besides although ur story might be true its a lil exxagerated. Who spends 48k repairing a phone of 43k? Why nt sell it den get anoda? Or even swap d fone?
The service center will offer to swap it the second time he came, his story reeks of falsehood.
Watch how he keeps saying they and not exactly where he took it to.

The first got faulty after the fall, the subsequent detects was said to be the screen itself being bad.
OK, the them you told was where ? Carl care or where exactly because if it was indeed Carl care you won't have been charged again for the second time again especially you mentioning subsequent detects was said to be the screen itself being bad.

Worst case scenario a swap will have been done so you mentioning you paid up to three times to fix the sane issue from sounds weird to be honest.
I hope you understand me.

Stanl3y:
Disclaimer: I am not in anyway a marketer of any device. this is simply my ordeal with an infinix smartphone.

I am a big time Samsung user but i decided to give infinix a trial. In October 2017 i purchased an Infinix hot 4 Pro for N43,500 from slot and it was my first infinix device actually, I wanted to give the device a trial so i was actually excited.
The first 10 months of the device was smooth, everything was fine as expected. One faithful day the phone slipped from my pocket and fell, I picked up the device and the screen went blank. there was no scratch whatsoever, the screen just didn't turn on, the phone was still under warranty but i was told warranty doesn't cover physical damage, I made them understand the screen went blank and there was no scratch but they insisted. I fixed the screen for N15,000. barely 6 months after, the screen went partially blind again. This time i was told the only way was to replace the screen again, I did replace it for an additional N15,000 in mid 2018.

I further had no issues with the device after the second screen was installed. sometime in late 2018, I woke up to a blind screen again, this time around i wondered wtf was going on is something wrong with the panel itself?? I took it to ikeja and met an engineer that told me the panel was getting faulty already, but for the mean time i needed to change the screen again if I'm to continue using the device. I thought to myself will i throw away the device after all I've spent?? I decided to replace it for the third time. this time the engineer felt pity and charged me N12,000.

I fixed the screen again, highly frustrated and swore never to use an inifinix phone ever again. I got home to play music from my phone and discovered the speaker wasn't responding anymore and only little could be heard from the earpiece. I got extremely angry and decided not to fix the speaker. I could live without hearing sounds from the stupid phone after all. so i used the phone for a while without fixing the defective speaker. after a long while, the right keys began to harden. the volume up and down keys, power keys became really hard and you need a great deal of strength to press it. I couldn't cope with this cus it was aching my thumb already. I took it out for a fix and was told the flex needed replacement. I replaced the flex for a total of N3,500. I used that opportunity to enquire about how much replacing the speaker would cost as well. he told me N2500. i laughed and insisted i won't be fixing the damn speaker. I woke up one day lo and behold the speaker was actually working again. I dunno what went wrong but it was working again. grin

After more than 2 years with the device, I only received one major android update to 7.0 i wasn't surprised about that actually being it was infinix a mid range phone. the camera deteriorate in quality and i wondered why, as days go by the camera became extremely poor. camera has not always been a stronghold on the phone but it was worse now.

and now in 2020, I gave the phone to my baby sis to use for playing mild games like talking Angela and the rest. I've returned back to Samsung which has been the best I've ever used. No cap Samsung phone are really the best if you want peace of mind. I now use one of the new S20 series and i can live in peace once again. Back to infinix story, My sister now reports to me about how the phone goes off automatically when it hits 19%. sometimes it starts counting down in seconds when it manages to hit 15%. now the phone's lowest battery state is 15% after that, it automatically goes off due to low battery.

I bought the phone for N43,500 but i spent N45,500 on repairs only almost every month. This shouldn't happen to anyone! This happens to be the worst phone I've ever used and I'll never recommend any sort of infinix smartphone to anyone looking to buy a good phone. unless you're buying just to make calls only (who would buy a smartphone for that purpose only tho?)

So ladies and gentlemen, that's my story with an infinix device. I also experienced a lot of frustration which wasn't hardware related. the phone is blazing hot when little task is thrown at it, it reboots itself everytime and it hangs like forever. As at 2017 Hot 4 Pro was probably the best they had to offer to the market. So i believe it should at least really live up to the expectations. I wasn't expecting a flagship experience though but at least the performance was below average IMO.[/s]
oga your screen doest just go balank without any fall.

Phones / See How To Activate Parental Control On Your Infinix Devices by flyingdagger(m): 11:06am On Jun 16, 2020
Kids cant seem to resist playing with mobile devices these days. Your child may be completely hooked on your phone for long hours. But that isn't completely safe and can have harmful effects.

Owning a smartphone has become a new trend among children these days. In fact, it has become a necessity. Children want their own cellphones so they can search on the internet for their homework assignments, watch informative and funny videos, play games with their friends, use social media platforms, and stream online movies and TV shows.
Children maybe take their parents’ phone to play games or watch videos but how you can protect them from the risks?

It is a good idea to allow your children to keep use your cellphone but you need to make sure they stay away from all sorts of online dangers lurking on the internet. Some kids innocently stumble upon adult sites or violent content while using the internet on your phone. If you learn how to put parental controls on your phone, you can keep them safe online.
One very good reason to let your kids use your cell phone is to be practical like encouraging them to communicate and learn new things.

parents do not want their child to come across adult, abusive, spam sites or violent content on the internet. At the same time, they can’t even stop them using cellphones to access social media, YouTube, or play games, it is tricky situation.

While it is becoming increasingly difficult for parents to prevent their children from getting addicted to use cell phone, we are going to tell you about a way to set parental controls on your phone to keep them away from harmful content. Let us know about it in detail.

How to set parental controls on your phone to protect your kids?

First create a family link as below steps:

1- Head to setting menu

2- Scroll down a bit and tap Digital wellbeing &parental controls.

3- Tap “set up parental control”

4- Tap “get family link”

5- Install family link from Google play store.

6- After installing will ask you who will use the phone? Tap parent.

7- After creating family link to supervise the phone, create an account for your kid.

8- Kid’s account should be linked with parent account; you need to enter your email.

9- Tap connect to your children device.

Second: manage kid’s phone.

1- Enter to kid’s account you created.

Then you can head to setting and start to manage kid’s device.

What you can manage?

Screen time.
App Activity.
Moniter and track online activity.

Parental controls allows you to further filter the videos and apps your child consumes. With the additional support that parental control provides, you can rest easy knowing that the content your child is consuming is being filtered in real time, protecting them from unnecessary exposure to inappropriate content.
Tell us if you use parental controls with your kids.
