How many times will this issue be over flogged? It's been settled long ago.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/06/why-more-companies-are-moving-to-ogun/

Guy, didn't you get the memo? According to this Nnewi guy, Igbos have lost the plot in Commerce and Industry:

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/06/rivers-state-others-have-overtaken-s-east-in-commerce-industry/

Lol. Even Jonathan himself said it that the SW controls 55% of Nigeria's economy. cheesy

Excerpts:
“When Jimoh was talking about World Bank statistics of the poverty rate in regions in the country, he said South West has least in the country. In fact, Lagos and Ogun contributed almost 55 per cent of the economic activities.

http://nationalmirroronline.net/new/i-regret-emergence-of-tambuwal-as-speaker-jonathan/
And he wasn't lying when you consider the indices from Manufacturers Association of Nigeria's last report as follows:
The SW virtually controls/accounts for atleast 70% of industrial activity in Nigeria.

http://businessdayonline.com/2015/02/ogun-ikeja-top-manufacturers-investment-destinations-in-2014/

Ogun, Ikeja top manufacturers’ investment destinations in 2014

While Ogun, which is now Nigeria’s industrial hub, recorded N377 billion worth of investments within the period, Ikeja returned investments worth N39.86 billion.

Ogun State’s represents 78 percent of N483 billion worth of investments made in the whole of the manufacturing sector within the period under review, while Ikeja shares 8.3 percent.

“This has revealed that the majority of manufacturing investments were directed towards Ogun industrial axis, which consists of Otta, Agbara, Ibafo/Mowe and Shagamu industrial areas,” said MAN, in its latest January to July 2014 economic review.

....

The data further show investments in Kano/Sharada/Challawa as N19.75 billion and those of Oyo/Ondo/Osun/Ekiti as N19.2 billion within the period under review.

Anambra/Enugu that had N5.5 billion worth of investments.
while those of Imo/Abia were estimated at N309 million.

you are an idiot plus the person liking your post.

yorubas are the originators of armed robbery, yorubas are the originators of drug dealing, yorubas are the originators of 419, yorubas are mostly accountants in this country and they steal everything in the account department and burn the whole company to remove traces, EG: Necon house in lagos, they stole all the money in the account department and burnt the building starting from the account department, independence building, a 25 story building, they stole everything and burnt it down.. Who wrecked the multinationational companies that was nationalized? Yorubas!!! The old UAC, The old LEVENTIS, BEREC, VOLKSWAGEN NIGERIA, they stole all the money in the account departments and left the companies in ruins, Nowadays multinational companies and foreign owned small companies are very careful when recruiting accountants, they dont like yorubas when it comes to accounting because they are cheats.

WE ALL KNOW THE TRUTH huh huh huh, YORUBAS WRECKED AND SABOTAGED THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY. i spit on the yorubas.

More of them will most likely invade other regions of the country for economic survival coz the little they get in Federal allocation will be further reduced. And unless the CBN changes its current FX policies, there'll be less goods for them to bring in via Lagos Ports. How many more traders can their region accommodate? Probably more traders will resort to drug-trafficking as is becoming the trend lately undecided Besides, It's not like they're contributing much to the commonwealth even during the Oil boom anyway so it definitely won't be pretty but like every other Nigerian they'll have to adjust. undecided

These multinational firms pay tokens as tax and employ cheap labourers and at the end of the day repatriate back all their profits out of the country to pay dividends to their share holders .

Firstly you are wrong on Ogun having the largest deposits of limestone, that record goes to Sokoto which has the worlds largest reserves.

Secondly, this is exploitative mining and not entrepreneurship .

Abi we go chop cement?

The deposits in Ogun were exploited to meet the housing demand in Lagos.

And besides I can bet you have just one cement factory in Ogun. Is this factory going to employ everybody in Ogun and is it going to form the next Sony which started off as a one man venture?
Mehn, fvck you! cheesy Google is your friend bro. FACT CHECK BEFORE YOU RUN YOUR FVCKING MOUTH, PUNK! Make no mistake about it. There are heavy economic activities going on Aba and Onitsha. They are part of 5-6 cities/states that control 85% of financial transactions in Naija according to CBN.
Well, whatever they 'control' must be limited to their enclave coz it hardly makes a dent on the overall economy at large, if just Lagos and Ogun alone (according to Jonathan) control over 50% of the rest of the entire economy. Just saying. undecided

Sir, Apple is one the most capitalized company in the world, but manufactures its product in China and Hong Kong.. These companies in Ogun contribute in terms of GDP, labor, IGR and industrial output to the state and nay Naija. Aba is trying but these are smal scale production.. In Onitsha, SAB Miller built its factory at $ 100m while PG built a plant in Ogun at $300m. So it would take about 300 rich biz folks to build such in Aba, assuming $1m can build an SME.
Lol. Are you minding that goat? Na only Breweries them get as 'industries' in the entire SE. Ogun state has the LARGEST DEPOSIT OF LIMESTONE (USED FOR CEMENT) in the entire country and arguably the African continent, and hosts the biggest Cement Factories as well. SE folks love getting drunk a lot -- which reflects in the rubbish they are yarning here -- hence the preponderance of Breweries all over that region grin grin grin
