Stop posting news irrelevant to us in Nigeria |
elvischukie:was it with an international number and did it involve bank? |
trifonov:I never said it was jiji but she mentioned it. |
First thing first I don't trust jiji after this incident and I'll advise you guys to be careful what information you leave on that site. I registered on that site just so I could find a good deal on something I've been looking (2 days ago) and today I got a call from " 018885056 " (I was able to find out it was a UK number and the call was from Lagos) saying that she is my manager or something similar,in short she's in charge of my account and then I got a message about me buying an ad as soon as the call came in with an account number not familiar to me,I even went back to jiji to check if a boosted ad or something was bought on my behalf but no i got nothing. She paused from her voice I could tell that some guys are telling her things to do from the background. She was like I'm I busy i responded to her sounding nice. The next thing she said was that she's congratulating me on joining jiji she kept on repeating it thinking I was fool trying to buy time then I said what else(trying to end the conversation because it was becoming pointless) she was like" so welcome to jiji" she kept on repeating the thing and was starting to try to gain information from me then i said that "I don't trust you so I'll cut" then I hung up. The point I'm trying to make is that I was told a story about a woman I was told was onthe phone with some scammers and somehow after giving them some informations she never knew could be used to withdraw her money she got an alert stating that money has been withdrawn from her account. If I had used the number connected to my bank to register I'll probably had been regretting by now because I think she was trying to buy time to gain information The question I want to ask is that do jiji managers call you without request with an unknown number telling you things that doesn't make any sense because i later got a call from her with her personal number raining insults saying that she was my manager and I said she was a scam and was rude even though I was calm and I didn't even mention that all i said was that I didn't trust her and I hung up,is it a must I listen to her. I had a similar experience with jumia I also got a message from the official jumia mentioning informations about my order only for me to receive a call from an amateur scammer telling me to transfer money to him because his car was siezed by road safety. WinningEleven:okay, the first pic at first glance looked to good to be from a Tecno device. |
WinningEleven: ,be happy you've gone through the phase some have to experience before the eye opening revelations. |
Op you can't tell me that picture wasn't edited. |
qwertygeni:let me guess transission device(tecno, itel and infinix),well try disabling the apps or hide them Someone had a similar issue with a Tecno device but none of the solutions actually worked,it's probably a software glitch or a app that dim fit hence keep reinstalling them. |
edoairways:I found it a little funny though You're making it seem like "it Don pain you" Just overlook it,it's one of those nairaland moments, although you shouldn't have quoted him since you guys do derail/interfere in xiaomi's threads. |
TMKsouth:nah I doubt Airtel, they'll most likely buy 9mobile they are on the verge of packing up even without a new competition. It will most likely be the easiest and cheapest to buy. |

I watched the announcement event on YouTube and I was impressed Siri-still dummer compared to Google assistant and alexa, although I love the new interface at the bottom of the screen it's the least intrusive I've seen. Animations-when it comes to fluidity you can't except less it's still smooth. Home screen-it's not much of a redesign apart from the widgets which isn't much of a big deal, although I like the smart widget, the rest like the grouping are at the far end of your home screen so it's still not a complete ui redesign. Less intrusive call interface-not a big deal it's been on Android for long,it's also been on iOS if you jailbreak it. Picture in picture-That's something i felt was dumb iOS didn't have it.They finally brought it,but of course they made it seem new typical apple. They copied some of Android ideas but unlike Android that copies iOS ideas in there next os release,IOS waits for years before releasing it and make it seem new. |
In my opinion one ui (overall best, also the most beautiful) Oxygen os(most fluid) Miui (most customizable) Android one (faster updates with stock Android experience that doesn't demand much from the processor, but with far less features) |
sunshineV:sorry to interrupt your dispute but what's the meaning of the bolded. |
edoairways:infinix Anyway it's not a bad idea except it's substandard and overpriced. I doubt sales though. |
Nice game op,listen to the advise given to you. it's smart you took advantage of what's trending. |

DragnetisaKuk:how did you get that navigation I thought it was miui 12 exclusive |
DragnetisaKuk:are you on miui 12 |

Many manufacturers including xiaomi will go for the Mediatek 5G variant because snapdragon is using their monopoly to make the 5g chips expensive. |
skywalker240:I don't even understands what the brains behind transission designs and specs thinks of. Tecno is the most useless infinix management still managed to give g70 to their flagship, Tecno on the other hand p35. Infinix still gave the hot 9 dts and a useless but still better a25 chip compared to the spark 5 with the Same a22. |
edoairways:yes,no operating system is unhackable it might just be more expensive to hack one compared to the other. The reason why they FBI asked apple for a backdoor code during an investigation was to avoid apple suing them which could cost a lot. |
VillageBus:no you are wrong, windows allowed the installation of apps from third party stores and it was fine. The best they could do is allow for example Amazon store or other secured store and make sure Amazon sends the app for further checks before it can be installed on iOS. I like the European Union they've been tackling apple, first the USB type c apple deprives customers of and now this,I remember when Spotify arrived in the market, apple did all they can to stop them by giving them unjust treatments now they are bigger than apple music. There was a time someone released an app to the app store but apple rejected it and stole the app logo with few adjustments but being the bigger man they won the law suit. I think it's high time apple let loose a little they should allow few customizable tweaks, themes and fonts. |
