Writing a good song needs a lot of inspiration, real fantasy, idea and pattern to connect all together in creating a good lyrics. Every message you passed across to your listener has a way it influence their life. Now ask yourself, how do my song tells who I am?

So when an artist write about things he felt, doesn’t mean he only imagine it but has done it or felt it before. You must have seen or partake in it. Many song listeners are been carried away by sweet beat and lyrics without fully knowing how it influence them and they bothered not to check the life there artists are also living.

You can’t write what you don’t know, feels or have something in contact with. Dressing half naked in a music video doesn’t mean you are a prostitute, but when your fans dress like that on the street , she is been tag a prostitute. So who inspired the fans?

Living a do*pe live in your music video which shows or talks about how you drug a girl. Fortunately, the video became a hit and a young boy tries to imitate the same act, he got catch and was tag a “Rapist”. So what can we can the artist that influence him?

So know matter the kind of song you write, it has a way of showing who you are, what you do and how you are going to end your life or career. But right now nobody cares about the song they hear, the video they watch or the lyrics they read. When we try and fix our mind on these things we don’t care about, we start correcting and moving ourselves to a better path.

How do you rate an artist?
This is a question I have been longing to ask. Because some people find it difficult to rate an artist without being sentimental. To write a single ain’t easy, to write a full album ain’t easy also, but when it comes to rating an artist base on “Single” or “Album”. There is no doubt that writing an album really show how good, talented, unique an artists can be. While writing a single can’t really show how promising or good an artist can be or last in the industry.

No doubt about it, when you write a single and you find it in any top10 list, don’t get too excited or start beating your chest claiming the best. Most people don’t believe a hit single shows how good you are. But what makes an artist good and respected is the content in his or her album. An Album show how versatile and unique you are, it prove to people your pattern of song and crew you work with.

Dropping a single doesn’t mean you can’t sing, rap or not talented. But it put your fans and your rival on their toes with what to expect next. But most artist fails to catch up with this idea, so they neglect writing an album which really show they ain’t good but just fortunate to win their fans heart with just one singles. While some artist who drop an album after some single, most times fails to their fans expectations. Which means they are not good but just fortunate.

Everybody can’t like your single, but everybody can like your album. Because it consists of different tracks and different artist you featured or collaborate with to make up the album. Your album put your music career to the spotlight because different people will love different tracks in your album. So try and focus your energy in writing a good and well inspired album.

Featuring an artist in your single can be a good step in promoting your name and song among the fan base of the the featured artists. But having about five (5) to ten (10) different artist on your album will help you win more fan base due to the fact that you are working with their favourite artist. The progress of an artist starts when creating a good and trusted fan base which will help in promoting your song, voting or nominating of awards, population in shows and events, growth in record sales and many more.

Starting your music career with some few singles can boost your brand and name quickly but don’t dwell on it too long. Great artist focus on album because it really shows who they are, how they think and what they foreseen. Try and build your career with the mind of working on your album and your fan base.

When writing a sad song or heart break kind of song, your sad or boring mood helps in knowing the perfect word to write. This helps you to create a good and well played picture of any message your song is trying to share among your listener. When you are in the mood to party or feel like to talk about you past experience, focus on the current mood and write about it. When you are missing your partner, love ones, friends or something and you feel like to write a song about it. Just focus on your mood and believe me that at the end, you will be surprise on the kind of song you write.
