I still can't forget the first day I was called out in my class to sing a song. I was about 8 years old then in ilorin, BB Nursery And Primary School, Agbo-Oba, I can feel the shyness within me. I was lost in my own dreams even though I write my own songs then but I still can't face the crowd and sing it. They call me Fnep Shevoo© which consists of names and dreams. I started writing song when I was little, even though am not that brilliant during my primary school days, but I still try to pull myself together in creating a brand that I believe will touch the heart of many. I write rap song, r&b with a little pop. I got inspired into music because I was moved by my brother song's collection. Those days of 2Pac, Biggy, Nas, Jay-Z, Sisqo, Eminem, Dr Dre and many more. Most times, I try to focus my song on the way people live around me. Writing my songs comes from my inner heart, even when people tries to say something to bring down my morals by saying things like "Your kind of song can't sell here, you got to change" but when I tries to give them examples of young and old talented artist, who write good songs. They keep saying " Your kind of song can't sell here, you got to change" Writing in a dark quite place still gives me the charge to write a good flows and later record it with my old IBM LAPTOP through a software call "Audacity". This has been my mode of writing songs because I can't afford a studio section (very funny). But what keeps coming to my mind is there words " Your song can't sell here, you got to change" But what if I don't wonna change? What if I still believed in the pattern I flow? Now, how can I create a brand that will be accepted by the general public? How can I get the recognition when some people around me keep telling me to change my pattern of song? All this keep running on my mind and i need your answers please. Am about to make history as the only artist that write, voice , mix his song with an old IBM laptop with a software call "Audacity". Below are my start up pix? By the way, My names are Ekenma Peter Nwabueze ( Fnep Shevoo ) Currently in Imo State I speak Igbo , English and Yoruba Am 24........... An a student ( 400I) So follow me as I make history I will only paste 5 song that I did with my laptop with no tools, i will also drop some links of the song i did in this first page for easy review and commwnt.... Please follow my thread for more information. (1) Always listen to their song You can never be better than your role model if you don't buy and listen to their song always. Listening to their song will help you in working yourself to be better, understanding and reading meaning to every words he or she sing or rap about. Using this method, you can easy master their flow and also understand them from their point of view. (2) Put your self inside their shoes. Many people fails to put themselves in the shoe of their role model to get the view of what will be their decision if they are been face with such situation. You can never be better than your role model if you can't take a concrete decision when you face what they face. Try to get the knowledge of why they write, sing or rap like that. Put yourself in the song and try to feel as if you are the one writing or singing the song. Staying constant on this method will make you better than your role model. (3) Act as if you are the want who write the song. Have you been listening to a particular song and you wish you are the one who write or sing it? If you can act as if you are the one who sing it, write it or mastered it. There is a possibility that you can write that kind of song if you reason that same way. Your role model only say things he saw, but you are writing about what you saw and also attaching their own pattern to create a strong bond. You are multi tasking with a reference from their song. This single act will not only help, but make you avoid some mistakes when writing your song. (4) Think of some ways to twist their songs. When writing, singing or rapping your song and you wish to sound like your role model, try and write like them. But if you want to be better than them, try to twist and reinvent your own creativity to compete with them. So when you are singing your song , you will only be compare to him or her but they won't say you sound like him because you sound different from them. (5) Try to write the opposite of what they wrote. This method is self explanatory but i will throw more light to it. Writing opposite of what they wrote really means that; when they sing about love, try to be the naughty type. When they rap about drugs and guns, try to rap about peace or any tragic song just to show how different you are. (6) Try to know their weakness. You can't be better than someone without knowing their weakness. Knowing their weakness put you in the line of building your inner confidence towards facing your own fear. What they did and fail, you can do it from a different method and achieve it because you learn from their fear and weakness. Writing a song has a lot of ways it can generate controversy in the industry so to be in a safer side, try to learn from their weakness and mistake. (7) Try to reason with them. This particular method is much different from putting yourself in their shoes. Reasoning with them really means you have to reason any of their move, words or act from their own perspective to know why they take any strange decisions which most people fails to look into. 8. Always be proud of them.No matter what they do always be proud of them. You can't be better than someone you never appreciate, love or inspired to be like them. They need your love and support. Do you know that the song you write tells a lot about you? Writing a good song needs a lot of inspiration, real fantasy, idea and pattern to connect all together in creating a good lyrics. Every message you passed across to your listener has a way it influence their life. Now ask yourself, how do my song tells who I am? We now live in a world that we fails to realise the way we live and the way we influence people, whether positively or negatively. Deep within your heart your mouth speaks, it shows your intention, your inner fear, the truth, lies, the fake life and real life you live. Singing about drugs can’t come from stories you heard, it can’t come from books you read but your previous or present experience. You can’t write a song about women, parties, money, heart break, love, hate or betrayal without been a victim of it. So when an artist write about things he felt, doesn’t mean he only imagine it but has done it or felt it before. You must have seen or partake in it. Many song listeners are been carried away by sweet beat and lyrics without fully knowing how it influence them and they bothered not to check the life there artists are also living. You can’t write what you don’t know, feels or have something in contact with. Dressing half naked in a music video doesn’t mean you are a prostitute, but when your fans dress like that on the street , she is been tag a prostitute. So who inspired the fans? Living a do*pe live in your music video which shows or talks about how you drug a girl. Fortunately, the video became a hit and a young boy tries to imitate the same act, he got catch and was tag a “Rapist”. So what can we can the artist that influence him? So know matter the kind of song you write, it has a way of showing who you are, what you do and how you are going to end your life or career. But right now nobody cares about the song they hear, the video they watch or the lyrics they read. When we try and fix our mind on these things we don’t care about, we start correcting and moving ourselves to a better path. mayowa122:True bro... What's why we need to work on ourselves in writing a good and well inspired album. To me it's not that hard only if you are not talented |
How do you rate an artist? This is a question I have been longing to ask. Because some people find it difficult to rate an artist without being sentimental. To write a single ain’t easy, to write a full album ain’t easy also, but when it comes to rating an artist base on “Single” or “Album”. There is no doubt that writing an album really show how good, talented, unique an artists can be. While writing a single can’t really show how promising or good an artist can be or last in the industry. No doubt about it, when you write a single and you find it in any top10 list, don’t get too excited or start beating your chest claiming the best. Most people don’t believe a hit single shows how good you are. But what makes an artist good and respected is the content in his or her album. An Album show how versatile and unique you are, it prove to people your pattern of song and crew you work with. Dropping a single doesn’t mean you can’t sing, rap or not talented. But it put your fans and your rival on their toes with what to expect next. But most artist fails to catch up with this idea, so they neglect writing an album which really show they ain’t good but just fortunate to win their fans heart with just one singles. While some artist who drop an album after some single, most times fails to their fans expectations. Which means they are not good but just fortunate. Everybody can’t like your single, but everybody can like your album. Because it consists of different tracks and different artist you featured or collaborate with to make up the album. Your album put your music career to the spotlight because different people will love different tracks in your album. So try and focus your energy in writing a good and well inspired album. Featuring an artist in your single can be a good step in promoting your name and song among the fan base of the the featured artists. But having about five (5) to ten (10) different artist on your album will help you win more fan base due to the fact that you are working with their favourite artist. The progress of an artist starts when creating a good and trusted fan base which will help in promoting your song, voting or nominating of awards, population in shows and events, growth in record sales and many more. Starting your music career with some few singles can boost your brand and name quickly but don’t dwell on it too long. Great artist focus on album because it really shows who they are, how they think and what they foreseen. Try and build your career with the mind of working on your album and your fan base. Always be proud of them.
. This is due to the high level of emotional pressure you would put in the relationship and the possible outcome of getting dumped, especially, when you don't have the resources to spice up the relationship. A struggling guy with low funds would find it difficult to spice up his relationship even when he has the intention to do that
After displaying all these, she would dispise you and might even dump you because the truth remains the same...relationships without trips, surprises and outings are as boring as hell!!! Pretend at your own risk!!!
