no she can not be your sponsor . Potential sponsors for Tier 4 student visas are only parents and/or legal guardians. Let her transfer the money to you. Dont go and chop refusal for nothing.

If you're self sponsored. That is paying yourself. Do you need to provide proof of employment to UK decision center
