Thanks everyone, I am actually aware of the Redeemed doctrine about obeying authority but it could be argued that those in authority are human, they can say or do things wrong but who am I to judge.

Well, a question that has been battling my mind for a long time. As a member of a pentecostal church (Redeemed church), which is predominately full of Nigerians in England. A church that is Nigerian cultured .



How can you go about it in a way that you wouldn't sin against God?

Jesus is God, The only way to heaven is through Jesus because he came to redeem us from our sinners. And the bible says the way is narrow, so please be among the few that we fit into the narrow entrance to heaven.

Should you obey your pastor and disregard your parents?

Well, a question that has been battling my mind for a long time. As a member of a pentecostal church (Redeemed church), which is predominately full of Nigerians in England. A church that is Nigerian cultured .

You have a pastor that uses the youth of the church a lot( bearing in mind that the youth are students that moved away from home to come to uni in another city) Pastor says A and you have to do it without questioning him and pastor rings you up , not to say hello but to tell you to come to church and do something for him, which can take four to five hours of your time. When you're not in church, pastor doesn't ring you up and we all know the parable in the bible about the farmer that looked for one of his lost sheep eventhough he had 99sheep left.

It now comes to a point that you start to tell your parents about it and your parents instructed you and also said that a pastor should be considerate that you are a student and you should not labour in vain or do things grudginly, if u don't want to do it, don't do it. And also it comes to a point that it starts to affect your studies and you just do things because the pastor says so and he says you have to obey Jesus servant.

The pastor is not happy (thinks your very disrespectful for not obeying him) and preaches about people that doesn't help out in church and the pastor emphasise that 'you live in the hostel, what's poking you to go home'?

Should you obey the pastor's commands and disobey your parents wishes? should you do church work and lack in your study? Should you do church work and you forget about your own salvation?

How can you go about it in a way that you wouldn't sin against God?

The bible says in Matthew chapter 9 verse 13 that 'he has not only come to call the righteous but sinners. So repent at all times

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. -GOD LOVES YOU

Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. - JESUS SHED HIS BLOOD FOR YOUR SIN

Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. - JESUS SHED HIS BLOOD TO MEET GOD'S REQUIREMENT.

Hebrews 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. - JESUS MADE A PERFECT SACRIFICE TO REDEEM YOU!

Hebrews 10:12, 14 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. -JESUS WILL MAKE YOU PERFECT FOREVER!

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me - JESUS IS YOUR ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN.


YOU MUST invite JESUS INTO YOUR HEART AND BELIEVE IN HIS WORDS (THE BIBLE).

Remember he is the almighty God, the God that created everything including all the irons used in making all other gods.
Word of encouragement to all chrsitians out there

1. Don't let anybody tell you that being a christian automatically gets you to heaven. We all have to keep obeying his words. The only thing that can get in the way is sin and I pray God will continue to help us.

2. Don't let anyone tell you that water baptism saves you. If you are saved, you WILL get baptized out of obedience. Saved people are children of obedience (Heb 5:9).

The gospel and baptism are separate--I Cor 1:17. You are baptized in order to outwardly identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and to symbolically show the washing away of sins.

So if you are trusting in your baptism to save you, you are wrong. An unrepentant sinner will go down a dry sinner and come out a wet sinner.

Well he is black because of his dad and also using the term 'mixed race' is now seen as a derogatory term but there is no other word that is better to use for now. However, it is justed that mixed race people should be identified for example, a child who is scottish and Jamaican mixed, the child should be introduced as Child B is a scottish heirtage and and a jamaican heritage, mum is scottish and dad is Jamaican, People will want to know more about the child's /the person's identity. That is the way OBAMA was seen and he is still seen but as we know that the media influneces us and the way our society is, if you are born by a black man and you look like a black person, you are considered black.

Someone should help nellydamz, -nice name u got dere. don't really know how to advise people. The best thing is not to visit your guy at home, always meet in public places and remember that God is the owner of your body! You dont have to worry about missing him or missing cooking for him which i assume you do. The guy will love u for that and he will respect you more if u respect ur body and u help him to have deeper relationship with God rather you affecting him to stay holy.
