Why is hardly no one talking about the absolute best of all.....the Ford Focus? That car is one of the best kept secrets of the auto industry. Solidly reliable as a rock! Its very economical too with low gas consumption and very easy to maintain. Just make sure you get a Focus with the DOHC engines. Those engines are indestructible. Very very reliable. Avoid Focus with the single overhead camshaft engines. They are made by Ford and they a nightmare. But the dual overhead camshaft (DOHC) engines are like Toyota engines. They are actually made by Mazda. Ford Focus engines and transmissions are Mazda made. The Ford Focus was a product of a joint venture between Mazda and Ford. Thats why they are so rugged and reliable. Ive had two of them in the past, the 2003 and 2004 models. Drove them on long distance trips from Georgia to Washington DC through South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland etc and then to Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, endless times several times over many years. Never had one single problem with them. Exceptionally reliable, smooth driving wonderful cars!
