Ricky Rozay: Bro, How did you go about your NHIS Health insurance you got here.. And how much does it cost?@Ame... I work for Federal government, so, NHIS is automatic for Public officers. |
Ame... Please keep me posted on the outcome cos I have NHIS here in naija.. Amefrica: Ok.. Thanks a bulk |
That's so sad... I'm sure you will get it if the school write the embassy and if you choose to defer, just remember all the answers to her question in this interview cos they keep records.. Just give the whatever VO that interview you next and they will issue you VISA.. Spring 2014 is around the corner.. I consider you to have the VISA already if not for the resumption date. lentywilly: Hello House I've been a secret member of this forum. |
I feel you but must let you know that you should relax. prof cleopas is no longer with NITDA but I can assure you if nothing go wrong with Champs, you are cool with NITDA because the integrity of the chairman of the scholarship board is firm. Just keep your fingers crossed. CHAIRMAN1: Viewing dis topic, amb dan, whizkidy, bad ass nigga. |
zigggy: Hi ouze I jst finishd my interview frm d embasyCongrats!!! |
Carsonv: Hey bro, nice story you had up there. Congrats!Thanks.... I won my scholarship last year.. deferred till this year for reasons beyond my control and was approved by NITDA |
winbyforce: I wonder how this CGPA conversion thing plays out at WES for Uni of Ibadan graduatesBeen wondering too.. I'm currently on 6.0 on a 7 scale and i'm done with coursework.. I hope that can be up to 3.7 on a 4 scale with WES cos i want an outstanding grade to add to my undergraduate for Ph.D in Ivy League school. |
Mike-Will:Congrats!!! |
vivysparkles: please house what's d ets phone number to call for GRE reg again??+31320239540 |
webstradamus: Lol ... obviously you didn't get my drift. What I meant was having access to drive newer car models is very easy here as rental companies make them available. You don't need to own these cars or know someone who does before you can have a feel of how well they drive. You simply rent and it's pretty cheap too!Yeah bro @ Oluwa is involved... I pray He's always involved. |
webstradamus: Haha ... no biggie about that. It's a normal rental car here ... lol. You go drive newer motor u go tireThanks boss! @bolded.. She doesn't rent, she bought it she's a nurse and sabi pose wella... |
tp://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/publications/pdf_publications/dsd_a112.pdfThanks bro, that's a great info. Can't wait to start driving my wife's 2012 camry.. |
@Ricky and eedris... Let the guy be, let's assume he doesn't exist. I can't imagine giving someone like attention... We could give better suggestion that would solve people's problem on this forum with the time we would have wasted on him trying to reply him. |

Oga, did you just hide my post? If you have reading and understanding capabilities, you would understand the statement in the post that says " I don't really understand the pm thing as requested by Mike-will" If I have something to hide, would I have posted that? Or didn't you read the part of Mike-will's interview transcript that he requested I should send him a pm? Do you suggesti disregard his request? Do you think I know him from adam? If anybody request I send a pm and I took my time to drop two of my most effective contacts, do you think its just to honor this forum? Do I sound so less busy to you? Oga, thread softly as that's very very rude of you incase you don't know. |
imperiouxx: Is it that you want to change school?Of cos not, it is for a friend, want him to study in the USA too cos he has potencials. Can I still change my school at this hour? |
Please can someone help with list of schools in US that accept 2.2 for masters program to apply for scholarship |
Hello house, Please, is vaccines done in luth acceptable anywhere in the USA? Also, can I drive with Nigeria drivers' license pending the time I'd get US drivers' license and ultimately... are students allowed to drive? |
eedrism: @Foohard.....i did both SAT AND TOELF....BUT MY SAT RESULT DIDNT SHOW ONLINE BUT I STILL HAVE MY SAT EXAM TICKET,BUT I HAVE MY TOEFL RESULT BUT SCORE IS LOW because I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THE EXAM WHEN I TOOK IT...ANYWAY ANY HELP U ALL THINK U CAN RENDER OR WHAT I SHOULD DO.I know you did SAT and that your result didnt show up plus all comment and suggestions given to you by the house. Can remember Bigfrancis told you not to go with the slip and stuff.. my point is, you should fix that by writing another SAT and an awesome TOEFL score as against the one you have presently.. Then going to meet VOs would make a lot of sense. |
OjaP: @ bolded : You get mouth sir. If you can get a high paying job, you can pay them back the money...shouldn't be a biggie.Sounds good, you can throw more light on this and advise further Sir. |
imperiouxx: How does the scholarship from home country work? Is it finish and return home or have grace of working abroad for some years?Ordinarily, if any government of developing country offer scholarship, the beneficiaries are expected to impact the economy with whatever they might have learned in the program they sponsored. So, it is suppose to be return home immediately after schooling where things work. Conversely, In Nigeria, the sponsor agency will even state it clearly that they do not guaranty the scholars any job on return. So, what is the scholar expected to come and do in the country? Logically, I believe working oversees would make a better CV for you in your home country meaning when you eventually return, you can get at least job in private firms. I work for government and I know of some people that were sponsored for 7 years bachelors + master in any part of the world (mostly northerners) and the sponsor agency does not even have the records of the beneficiaries... Think and reflect to the above, I'm sure you wont blame any scholar that choose to work oversees and so as the agency wont blame them |
eedrism: @BIGFRANCIS AND IMPERIOUS say sumtin..i have paid another visa fee now and no dates in Lagos yet....have been denied 3times now,am going for the 4th time.....u guys should HELP ME OUT....What u tink i rili need to do....see we are like Brothers help me outHmn.. I pray going with your mum can change the situation as hoped. However, truth be told, you are being naive about the whole thing.. I understand how you feel and people in the house have advised you to chill and identify the loopholes in your previous denials.. I beg you in the name of GOD, dont ruin your chances of getting this VISA in the future. Kindly reply to Ojap,i'm sure you have not fix the SAT issue. Consequently, nothing has changed in the previous data you provided to the embassy... Just like Imperoux said... It is risky |
OjaP: Are you sure of this? Most people who get similar scholarships are always told to come back and work immediately after schooling, usually for 2 years. The only exception is if you are willing to pay back whatever amount they spent on you with interest. This may be different for NITDA sha.Not sure though.. Just my thought along the statement in the terms and conditions.. If so, I still dont have problems, would have gotten my green card before i finish my masters and my job is still waiting here as i am going on a study leave pay for 2 years... So, can easy come and invest in Naija for 3 years and go back to USA if i wish... |
bigfrancis21: Glad to know its NiTDA scholarship. I was aware last year when the scholarship was on. I started applying sef. I created an account, filled out the form and then got to the document upload page and discovered the NYSC requirement meanwhile I had just finished University then. I even emailed them asking if I could still apply without NYSC discharge certificate and they replied me immediately saying I should wait till next year's program when I should have been through with my NYSC. So I stopped my application."bolded.. You forgot the fact that you are not being forced to return immediately. All they stated was to return to naija to work for 3 years which is not difficult for me cos I dont plan to die in the USA.. All I need is gather enough knowledge in USA through schooling and working as long as I wish and return to Nigeria to be a director at a very good agency like NITDA and serve for as long as I can which would surely be more than three years |
kofsy: Oh! I seeThanks Kofsy. What did you study cos I know another of such that even pays better. Its provided by Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF). For earth sciences and some technology related courses cos computer science is included too. |
Ricky Rozay: The Last thing I expected from you is to display the Name of the agency that granted you that exhorbitant Scholarship..Ameen and you too @ May God continue to bless you forever and Grant your heart desires. I'm here to help and will do all within my capabilities to render the help being it information, advises, guidance and suggestions. Ricky, thank you for appreciating me. |
kofsy: Foohard! Congrats on your visa approval!Thank you. The scheme is for IT graduates. If you read IT related courses and graduated with 2:1 or First class, then you are eligible. You must be a Nigerian and must have completed NYSC. The agency in charge is National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). Its is available for masters and Ph.D. |
Goldfinger266: Hello Guyz. I am sure this is my first time of posting on this trend. Moreover, I have bin following the trend which has made mi become very familiar wit likely questions @ and d experience for the pre and post F1-visa acquisition to the US. I was at the Lagos embassy yesterday,August 1 for 7:30 am and I got my visa approved within 3mins.No single documents was asked. I missed my way twice while going outside. Security had to shout on me that I shud use d exit cos d visa has bin approved. Till now, is still doin mi like play-like play. Although, I had confidence in God that they would give me, but getting there I became so nervous that my head and ears wre so hotttt and coupled wit d fact that d place was not even conducive at all. I was not even conscious of what was going on the d embassy. I can't say rate if visa issuance/denial that yesterday. All I was conscious of was the fact that I carried GrACE. I will be posting the transcript very soon.Congrats!!! |
eedrism: GOD WILL MAKE US ALL HAPPY ND GRANT OUR HEART DESIRE .....PLANNING TO REAPPLY AGAIN ASAP....BUT NO OPEN DATES IN AUGUST ATALL....CAN I USE AGENT FOR THIS HOUSE? ND ALSO I HEARD OF SUMTIN WHICH I RILI NEED TO ASK GURUS IN D HOUSE...ME ND MY TWO FRIENDS NOTICE THAT AT ABJ EMBASSY..ALL THE STUDENTS THAT CAME TO APPLY FOR F1-VISA CAME WITH THERE PARENT AND THEY WERE ALL APPROVED....ND WHEN I ASK ONE OF THEM,SAID HE JUST TOLD HIS MUM TO ACCOMPANY HIM TO THE EMBASSY,CAN I GO WITH MY MUM ASWELL WHAT DO U TINKI don't think going with parents changes anything because a young guy came with her mum and was still denied because of the north, east, south question the guy asked him. I wish you luck as you have refused to patiently identify and fix the loopholes in the previous denials. Again, Good luck! |
webstradamus: Can the location get any vaguer than that? The one I know is on Lagos Island very close to "Onola Playing ground" and "Itafaji market". You can stroll in from Tinubu B/stop which is 50naira Napep from Obalende B/stop. I know they have other branches around lagos but don't have the address. Its a big photo studio. |
.Ibadan uses a 7point CGPA grading system.
