CHELSEA are reportedly ahead of Liverpool and Real Madrid to sign Roma Brazilian keeper Alisson Becker this summer.

News has it that the Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move away from the Serie A side, with a number of European heavyweights fighting for his signature.

According to Spanish publication Marca, Real Madrid and Liverpool are now set to miss out on Alisson, after Roma rejected their first bid, which are said to be lower than their valuation.

During the winter transfer, reports have it that Liverpool saw their approached rejected because of Roma’s asking price which is said to be in the region of £70m.

Belgium are concerned on the extent of an ankle ligament injury Romelu Lukaku sustained in their win over Tunisia this evening and are set to make major changes for their final group game against England.

According to a report emanating from England, Bayern Munich made their asking price be known to Manchester United for Jerome Boateng. The German defender will be available for £50 million this summer transfer window, with Bayern new coach prepared to sell him.

The highly rated defender has previous experience in the Premier League, having played for Manchester United’s bitter rivals Manchester City in the 2010-11 season. But, his short stay with the Citizens was on a disappointing note, with the player failing to be a regular at the club.

He then joined Bayern Munich, where he has progressed heavily to establish himself as one of the best centre-backs in the world. Over the last seven years, Boateng has appeared over 250 times for the Bavarians, although he has been hilted with injury problems in recent seasons.

Nevertheless, the 29-year-old continues to be seen as one of the best centre-backs in the game, and is in great demand heading into this summer’s transfer window. That his future at Bayern Munich is uncertain makes him a hot property in the transfer market, with Manchester United leading the race to sign him.

The Red Devils are reportedly in search for a central defender this summer, with Phil Jones and Chris Smalling heavily linked with summer moves away from Old Trafford, and with Victor Lindelof taking time to settle in his new surroundings at Manchester United, Boateng is the perfect target who could act as the best mentor to the Swede.

Additionally, having won several trophies with Bayern, the player will also bring a winning mentality that is seriously needed at Old Trafford. Manchester United also know that Boateng will be available for the right price, with talks on going.

Report emanating this morning from Spain says that Spain’s Officials tax authority have called for ‘debate’ over the deal done with Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

Earlier this week, there was news that an agreement with tax prosecutors would see Madrid ace to plead guilty over his image rights income and agree to pay a total of €18.8 million. This includes accepting that €5.7m is been owed on image rights income, with a further €13.1m for fines and interest.

Though the final agreement is still yet to be signed off, according to the Gestha union, which represents the lower-level workers at the tax authority, wrote in report to Europa Press saying that the amount Ronaldo will have to pay is too small considering that he was filed of non tax payment of €150m in image rights income.

They ask that the amount should be looked into; knowing fully well the amounts in the charges, stating that the fines should be increased.

The temporary the deal would see Ronaldo’s advisers not to be punished for the role they played in creating a interconnected companies in various countries to avoid €14.7m in taxes due on image rights revenue between 2011 and 2014. Report has it that newly promoted premier league side Wolverhampton Wanderers have captured the signature of the Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio on a four-year contract.

It is said that the veteran goalkeeper terminated his contract with Sporting CP before signing for Wolves.

The Portuguese goalkeeper, currently at the Russia 2018 World Cup, has joined the Premier league side on a free transfer.

He has penned down a four-year deal with Nuno Espirito Santo’s Premier League newcomers, waiting for international clearance which won’t be a problem.

Rui Patricio is his country’s No.1choice goalkeeper, who was among recording breaking team that won Euro 2016 competition, and his 70th cap came in the 3-3 draw in their World Cup opener against Spain last Friday.

The 30-year-old is set to take the number one role in place of their current choice John Ruddy when Wolves kick off their top fight campaign in August.

Patricio addition is Wolves’ second signing of the transfer window in a deal subject to international clearance. He will arrive after the world cup pending where Portugal will finish at the ongoing World cup tournament in Russia.
