The oando deal is good news for the banks involved. This may be a signal that a bank like FCMB will have a better loan book with lower NPL in Q2 result.

Pls does anybody here know the specific individuals / companies owing Skye bank?

...........those skye bank dudes have waited too long to report....
.....can any good thing still come from them...?..after sacking 135 people recently .....

I KNOW UNITY BANK IS CHAFF BUT ZENITH DELIVERS. IF I PUT N100K IN ZENITH TODAY, I MAY END UP WITH N90K BY NEXT WEEKEND OR LESS, THOUGH ITS A BETTER AND CONFIRMED STOCK. I PUT THE 100K IN UNITY, THEN CARRY MY BIBLE AND GOES ON DAILY VIGIL FOR ONE WEEK. GOD HEARS MY PRAYERS, I SELL NEXT WEEK ON WEDNESDAY AND GET 140K. I THEN PUT IN ZENITH BANK THAT HAS PULLED BACK. AFTER 6-MONTHS-1YRS, I HEAR PEOPLE SHOUTING ABOUT HOW THEY DID NOT SELL THEIR UNITY CHAFF AT N1.4

NB: THE STOCK MARKET HAS NO FORMULA, EVEN THE UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE IN PHYSICS AMAZES THE BEST EQUATIONS/CHARTS ON THE EXCHANGE! I DID THIS WITH FCMB AND GOT TRAPPED......

Good day. I bought stocks of the following companies around 2007/2008: CCNN, DANGFLOUR, DIAMONDBNK, ECOBANK, ETERNAOIL, FIRSTBANK, UBN, JAPAULOIL, LIVESTOCK, STDINSURE, UNOVINSURE.

Due to the erosion of value in the NSE thereafter, I lost interest in stocks and stopped following up.

I still have my last "investor account details" printed for me in 2008 and CSCS and Investors Account nos but the stockbroking firm that I used then has gone under.

On FT the median estimate of most analysts on FBNH is around the current price so there's a lot of caution been exercised regards trading on it (considering NPL and perceived devaluation impact). Personally I believe FBNH's time has not fully come. This bull run is just warm up. If it performs consistently well till 3RD QTR 2016 and there's a marked improvement in results, Usain Bolt fit no catch am then. In fact there's no reason why FBNH shouldn't touch N7 before the end of 4th QTR 2016.

However analysts and all have been proven wrong a number of times when unforeseen circumstances come suddenly into play.

N.B: Looking back now I believe they foresaw this dismal FY2015 performance that's why they paid a paltry 10k div for FY2014.

Thanks , But we all know this, that Oando is a long term stock, based on their structured payment that will end in 2018. For us Oando faithfuls are not panicking and am not selling till I see it from N65...

report I got from a credible source said that oando,this year result is in the negative, that the recorded heavy loss though not as much as that of its previous 9month result. So be careful peeps while you are loading oando.

......lol...and Tinubu is posting various pics and videos of himself on linkedin discussing economic changes....
in the oil sector and how Oando is improving....I won't be surprised...its the same way he was active on linkedin last year too(sending friend request to everybody then) before their abysmal results came out........ ......

Meanwhile I can see a lot of effort by some strong men to drag down FBNH. Una no reach o, you hear? If you missed that bus take heart and wait for the next.

You see in this NSE there's just so much to learn and we are learning every day. Like one author said, you learn more when you lose than when you're always winning. I've lost some significant amounts of money in this NSE over time and what I can say today is this:-

The market is not for those who are driven by every wind of doctrine (rules or news) and who panic too easily. Except you're just here to gamble. Be brutally sincere with yourself, learn what you need and make your decisions. Don't take things personally but learn from them.

You see if every time I was in a losing position, I jumped out and cut my loses by now one of two things would have happened. Either I'd have lost ALL of my money or I for don take the small one wey remain run comot for NSE for good. Never to look back. But we all know you don't learn by running way from challenges.

I've read good authors that advocate the 'no average down' or 'cut your loses and run' when in an unexpected losing position policy. From experience, I beg to disagree. It's a case by case basis. Slow and steady is a good policy AS LONG AS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING HAVING CARRIED OUT SOME DUE DILLIGENCE.

...@currentPrice...me I no gree oooooooooo.....kindly find attached meristem stock recommendations for the week.....even they aren't sure about skye bank.....all I know is the last time time a company took long to release their result I saw a stock i got for about 13 naira fall to 3 naira....(Oando baba).....but even meristem has been known to make some prediction blunders as well...anyway....this is just to keep guys updated...not a recommendation of any kind.....

i think that is what is needed in Nse, we need to expose to them why tech analysis of stocks is important in this century. i can partner with you in this one though am not a geek in software ish but i know tech analysis.

....I am also into software development.....we can work on this together if you need another developer to partner and code with you...

That PE ratio you quoted is wrong... based on 2015 results should be 4.91... and the PBV of 0.14 shows a huge margin of safety
