When a character cannot be comfortably defined or understood in terms of the familiar, the tendency is to perch him on a symbolic shelf, out of harm's way. Once there, he can be talked about but need not be lived with. In this way, it is easy to put up a pretty efficient smoke screen, on the part of the critics or the audience, against recognition, against an active and willing participation.

Not to find the right words is paradoxically often the best proof that the right words are meant.

Anxiety... is sort of the opposite of ego. You're so sure you'll do everything wrong you're afraid to do anything at all. Often this, rather than 'laziness' is the real reason you find it hard to get started.

Sometimes I think everyone is just pretending to be brave, and none of us really are. Maybe pretending is how you get brave. |
Stay exclusive. Don’t be everywhere. Don’t involve yourself with just anyone...leave a little mystery to your life.

Yeah true ...but don't live every day like it's your last--rather like it's your first. get to know your space, get comfortable where you aren't yet, try new things but not everything at once. and look forward to what's coming. you're only responsible for what you can control and influence. focus on that. nobody pays as much attention to you as you think they do.

Debt’s origins come from colonialism’s origins. Those who lend us money are those who colonized us. They are the same ones who used to manage our states and economies. These are the colonizers who indebted Africa through their brothers and cousins, who were the lenders. We had no connections with this debt. Therefore we cannot pay for it. Debt is neo-colonialism, in which colonizers have transformed themselves into “technical assistants.” We should rather say “technical assassins.” They present us with financing, with financial backers. As if someone’s backing could create development. We have been advised to go to these lenders. We have been offered nice financial arrangements. We have been indebted for 50, 60 years and even longer. That means we have been forced to compromise our people for over 50 years.

And I hate to break it to you but you will have to save yourself because no one else is going to do so. And if I know a thing for sure it's that you can do it, you are brave and you are strong and you are worth it. A hero should never be a support actor, so be the one of your own story.
