Gbpusd break even hit. Shop closed for the week. Total for today, AU=34, GU=0.3, TOTAL=34.3.

Systems back online. Au taken profit +34, gu still holding on +16.

Au take profit hit. Gu on +13. My system has gone cucumbers. Working system restore, trading and typing via galaxy.

I updated my antivirus and suddenly my internet stopped working oh.

now gu and au are showing me some love.

shellboy: I do similar stuff,and a lot big trading houses(investment banks et al) call it Value At Risk.

I use 200pips limit for mine,but on oil cos of its volatility and high daily average range,and when its reached, I close my shop for the day.

Depending on the market profile, my daily target can be as much as 4x the Value At Risk,which translate to daily risk reward ratio of 1:4.You know the rest.

well that's cool. Anyway just know the relationship between the DRA and thej lot size could be refereed to as the value at risk. Example u have $1000 account and your Value at risk is 10% it means you can have a DRA of fifty pips with a static lot size of (0.2/by the number of pairs you trade) meaning all your trades can have a 50pips stop loss without exceeding the Value at risk.

lol. You know na. A lot of people have lost interest in this thread cos all people do here is brag, fight and insult one another. As a matter of fact from couple of seasons back this thread lost its content, just a bunch of old men and women fighting up and down, so I decided to run my journal here instead of writing it in my book like i used to.

Notice my post has nothing to do with showing who's system is better but to educate the newbies on what a typical day is like for a full time intraday trader like me.

I update my posts at the start of every one hour candle except when circumstances beyond my control stops me but if i dont make any post at a certain hour it means previous standing remains.

I apply a trading method i call DAILY RISK ALLOCATION (DRA).

Summary:
DRA= 60 pips
lot size= static per trading day.

What this means is that one of the following must happen. Exhaust and loose the DRA or make money on it. Will teach more on it based on the reception i get here. We are all learning. No egos. Love y'all.

the foolish market delivered 60pips. Too bad i have already finished my daily risk allocation which is 60pips daily.
Anyway discipline is good. Still placed them on demo to satisfy the urge for trading. Bought Eu and ej both taken profit 30pips each with gu still running on 13pips.

Exhausted my Daily risk allocation loosing 61pips net loss officially closing shop till 4 am tomorrow.
Still in profit for the week.

10:00am eu and gu closed at -23 and -13 respectively, -36 total.

8:00am eu and gu on 8 and 3 pips respectively.

6:00am, still holding em eu and gu. Something i noticed a very long time ago is that European markets always move in the direction of the previous day's Fomc news bias. This happens 80% of the time.

Its like the London/European session traders waking up to the Fomc news and reacting to it too. Just an observation i made a long time ago.
