Whenever I'm pregnant, I turn to another thing...I can count how many times I cooked all thru the 9months...all thanks to my hubby...he does the cooking...Walahi, I love to be pregnant.
I'm always a very special queen when pregnant. Thank God I married a domesticated man( special thanks to MIL), that's why I must also domesticate my son so that his wife too will enjoy him...

You can ask those staying in FHA, Lugbe, what actually happened this morning. Traffic build-ups dont just disappear in seconds bro...it takes time b4 the road is cleared.

So my President is visiting Lagos today and because he's coming to do his job, half the roads were blocked causing inconvenience for more than half the Lagos population. The bus driver and conductor would not eat today because the road he plys daily is blocked because the president is in town. Now, the President lives in Abuja... My question is "are the roads always blocked from road users because he's there? 80% of Nigeria's revenue is generated in Lagos... Yet they closed down roads to welcome the President. Also, do we serve the President or does the President serve us? Aren't there choppers to convey him around? Abuja residents are used to road block especially we the airport road residents.
I experienced it this morning when he was going to the airport. So it's normal for us here.

Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) doing their demolition thing again but this time, It's happening live in Wuse Zone1 gardens in Dakar Street, after GSM village.
The traders/business owners were only given 24hrs notice to leave the land.
Heard the demolition was necessary due to the rail line, closer to the area.

I am female, believe me one can do with help. I left my job of almost 250k monthly in banking to stay at home soon as I had my first child. Believe me I can't afford some clothing and luxuries but I believe it's just for a while. My husband is the sole income earner and his pay isn't regular. We cut don't our cost to the barest. I didn't spend money for creche and help at all. With all the stories out there, molestation, kidnap, assault etc my blood pressure can't handle it.

They are called domestic workers...They work for you and you pay them at the end of the month..she's isnt a minor but an adult of 18 , I'm even sure that girl was more than 18, I was only lied to.

Moreover if this job that makes you leave home as early as 7am and return after 6pm can't allow you afford above minimum wage for a help then your job ain't worth it. And that is not healthy living waking up early and coming back very late.

Many of them don't really care deep down cos they are not related to the family. It's normal even with people who aren't maids. We care most for our family and friends.

Its OK. I totally get how upsetting maids can make someone be.

For the workload a maid will go through in your house (with 3kids) they shouldn't be paid anything less than 20k monthly! Else they will neglect your kids and make you yell your lungs out daily. Some will even put urine or feaces inside your kids foods just to get back at you.

I have a washing machine at home( she washes her own clothes cos hubby helps with the washing maching on weekends)... I can never allow someone to cook what my hubby will eat also...so, she doesnt cook...I cook my soups and stew during the weekends and store them in the freezer...her job was to clean, washes the dishes , prepare the food ingredients with me in the kitchen...then the kids...that's all...she leaves my home for the fashion house @8am when I have left- I do call the owner of the fashion house what time she gets there...but d girl is hardworking sha...my home was always neat during her stay with me...

Lailai, I provided whatever she needed, besides I can never allow a maid to have a penny while in my house.. cos I'm very careless with money...so how am I gonna know if she's stealing money if caught with some cash.. besides their agent collect their salaries on their behalf... some pay 6months, some 12months but I prefer the monthly package
