The annual New Year
Prayer/Dedication Service for staff of the Rivers State Civil Service will hold
tomorrow in Port Harcourt.
The event, organised by the office of the Head of Service will hold at the Block C
Car Park in the State Secretariat Complex, Port Harcourt at 100 clock in the
morning.
A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance and Chairman of
the Planning Committee, Mrs Alaliba Dokubo indicates that the State Governor,
Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi would be the Special Guest of Honour while
the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Sir Ngo Martyns-Yellowe would
chair the occasion.
The statement also said that the event, which has the theme, Teamwork, taken
from Romans 12:4 will have the General Superintendent of the Glorious Covenant
ministries, Rev. Samuel Akinola as the guest preacher.
It added that the programme, which is designed to handover the activities of the
civil service to God for guidance and direction, would also feature a re-dedication
of the service to God, while the Civil Service Choir and the Unique Choral Voices
of Port Harcourt will perform at the occasion.
The statement advised civil servants to attend en-masse to thank God for His
guidance and sustenance in 2014 and pray for continued protection and direction
in the Year 2015.

We really need a change in govt. Civil servants cannot continue to suffer like this. We need a worker friendly govt and not an imposed individual that will be dancing to the tone of his predecessor.

What's delaying other banks na?

From what I'm seeing here, those who were paid two months last month received only one month meaning no arrear was paid to them this month. So the question is: What method are they using to pay this arrears pls?

They should go and find out in the dictionary who is an hypocrits or a sycophant. If I tend to abuse the Governor as you do, then, i am no longer an hypocrits or a sycophant?
Gov. Amaechi might be corrupt as you think, but also ask yourself, how many of these corrupt leaders has ever remembered to give you a job rather than their family members.
I am not going to follow the multitud to comith SIN by abusing my leaders.

There is no need to speak unbehalf of the Governor, I was made to understand that an hungry man is an angry man. But all thesame, learn to manage your little income, so that you dont go about crying and blaming the Governor. when your salaries are not paid at when due.
Mind you, something worst than this is coming on the way, when the next Government is instaled in Rivers State, at that time, you will even be the person to praise this present Government.

. This is really bad if it's true. Why should some banks be credited while some not? It's not fair at all. I really feel for our colleagues in these two banks.
