PoliticsBiafra: A Yoruba Muslim Response To Bbc Hardtalk On Why Igbo's Are Angry With Ni by frankdoz22(op): 3:52pm On Sep 13, 2018
Social Thought:
WHY ON EARTH CAN WE BE NIGERIANS AGAIN? OBASANJO FINALLY OWNS TO THE TRUTH OF BIAFRAN EXPERIENCE

OBASANJO'S RESPONSE TO BBC HARDTALK:
WHY IGBOS ARE ANGRY WITH NIGERIA:

“My friends who are not from the East of Nigeria where Igbos come from often ask me why there is so much anger in the East and among Igbos. Some wonder why, despite the famed Igbo” wealth’ and enterprise all over Nigeria, the people still complain that Nigeria is unfair to them. Some insinuate that the anger comes from the loss of the 2015 election by Jonathan who the Igbos heavily backed.
And why is it that the current generation of Igbos are so angry as to contemplate carrying arms against the country? With lots following Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB with his secessionist message. Those not following Kanu may despise his antics and rhetoric but are sympathetic to his underlying message. And what is that message? That Igbos don’t feel wanted in Nigeria. That decades of official marginalization and discrimination should be stopped or they should be allowed to take their chances in a new nation.
First, for those who think this is all about Jonathan and Buhari. It is not. Igbos were disappointed that Jonathan did not win. But those whose candidates lose elections lick their wounds. It is allowed. It happens when your candidate loses election. Why did the Igbos invest so much emotions in Jonathan, a non-Igbo from Ijaw? It was more because of the fear of their experience in the past 50 years. Nigeria has placed an embargo on any Igbo man becoming Nigerian president and Igbos understand this.
Jonathan was the next best thing. Other parts of Nigeria have supported their sons to the presidency. Some have bombed Nigeria into submission to get their sons to Aso Rock. Igbos have little capacity to blackmail Nigeria to the presidency. They chose Jonathan as their “Igbo”. But that’s not to say that they are angry enough because he lost to contemplate going to war on his behalf. Jonathan was not really the model of a President the Igbo would go to war for. And even his Ijaw people have accepted his loss.
So? Igbo anger has been building up in Nigeria since the 70s. As kids, people made choices in other parts of Nigeria school years based on the narrative of the Igbo place in Nigeria. They knew about the glass ceiling against Igbos.
After the civil war, despite the “No winner, no vanquished” program, Nigeria placed glass ceilings and no-go areas for Igbos. The war reconstruction program was observed more in the breach. There was the “abandoned” property program that was introduced to drive a wedge between components of the former South-East Nigeria. While the country was too embarrassed to put the discrimination program down in an official gazette, it was there for anyone who cared to look. It was evident in the Igbo police officer who stayed in one position while less qualifies juniors progressed to become his bosses. It was evident when no Igbo qualified to become the Inspector General of Police, or lead any division in the armed forces. It was there when "sensitive" or "lucrative" positions were shared in Nigeria and Igbos were conspicuously absent.
It was there when Igbos were only fit enough to be made Minister of Information until Obasanjo administration came to power. And even recently, it was there when Buhari appointed 47 people to man the critical roles in his government and no one from the South east was there. Any time there is a federal appointment in Nigeria, its usually the east that is left to shout. It was there from Buhari first term as a Military Junta to his second coming and any other time in-between.
The Igbo elite called it marginalization. Other Nigerians countered by saying no part of Nigeria was getting enough. Marginalization was universal. But they forgot something. The Igbo cry of marginalization was official policy. It was expected. It was programmed. And occasionally, key government officials let it slip that Igbos should not complain. After all, they fought a war with Nigeria. Talk about No Victor, No Vanquished. There was a Victor alright. And they were reminded of that at every turn. Every appointment. Every national project was propagated with the glass ceiling in mind to contain the Igbos.
How can any nation grow when the leaders are mandated to keep a viable component of her resources subjugated and useless because of fear and insecurity? Nigeria was only pretending. Igbos were licking their wounds and complaining and the rest of Nigeria were too busy to notice. Go to the South-East today. Since the 70s and the oil boom. Nigeria has invested in commercial industries across the country. None has been sited in the South east. None. Refineries, Steel Plants, Cement Firms. Any Industry.
The South East was systematically deindustrialized. Even when it was the best location for any industry, there was always a reason why it should not be sited there. What this means was that any Igbo man that wanted to work in a commercial federal establishment had to leave the east. Add this to the indigenization policy of the early 70s that pushed the Igbos out of private companies. It meant that international companies also avoided expansion into the south east. The Nigerian Breweries, the Dunlop and other such firms sited their plants outside the East and only set up distribution centers to sell in the region.
This is one of the main reasons the exodus of Igbos from the zone accelerated after the war and continues to this day despite the hostility they face in certain parts of Nigeria. And why most Igbos became traders and commercial business men. Access to organized work either in the government, government commercial institutions and even commercial institutions were limited. This concerted government plan worked so well that the even Igbos began to hate themselves and hate to invest in their zone till this day.
The only industrial enterprise in the east are built by easterners; Nnewi, Aba, Onitsha. These are Igbo indigenous industrial cities. The plan was to frustrate them from investing in their zone or force them to move the industry to North or West where it can be taken from them after getting them to transfer the technology. This has been the practice since the end of the war.
In addition to this, the Federal Government has systematically made it difficult for Easterners to do commercial business even in the East. The Federal Roads in the East are some of the worst in Nigeria. The Eastern Sea ports have been made ineffective. It was a war to get the Enugu Airport upgraded to an International Airport. The former Finance Minister shed tears on the day the first International Flight landed in Enugu. Yes, Okonjo Iwealla cried! Recently, it was only the South East that was conspicuously missing in the New Railway Plan of the Federal Government.
Nigeria has 6 regions and one was missing in a national railway plan while nobody cares. Incidentally, Igbos who reside in the east are the most itinerant in the country and would benefit most from a national transport plan. Even our President Buhari changed the plan to include his village but a major zone of the country was not included.
When you go to the east, despite the lack of federal presence, the presence of police all over the east tells a story. They mount road blocks and make it difficult to have commercial activities to run smoothly. Recently, Customs has joined. And lastly the army. It is an occupied territory. They extort money. They intimidate them by all means. They have recently started shooting and killing them.
Nigeria has made the east unlivable. They sponsor dubious governors, senators, and political leaders that take orders from the caliphate - Purposely, Carefully.
In conversations, people often accuse the east of being clannish or tribalistic. That is far from the truth. No group assimilate or blend in more than the Igbos. They claim Igbos are welcome in all parts of Nigeria, but outsiders cannot come to the East. The question is: why would anyone come to the east? To do what? There is no business to do in the east. Nigeria has ensured that. Why would someone from the South West of Nigeria go to the East to invest? No one would prevent them. But it hardly makes commercial sense. Nigeria has ensured that.
Those from the North are there in droves. Igbos love to celebrate with cows. And the cattlemen go there to sell their cattle. No one molests them. In the villages in the East, these northerners live unmolested. But those are the only people who can find commercial reason to be there! So those who wonder why Igbos are angry, wonder no more. While most would not dare carry arms against Nigeria, don’t under estimate the level of disconnection and anger especially among the younger generation who feel hopeless and in prisoned for something they did not do.
Nigeria is made of nations that came together to form the country. No nation will like to remain in perpetual servitude or slavery. Igbos were at the forefront in the fight for Nigerian independence against Britain. If they did not allow Britain to subjugate them, they surely will not allow any local power or they may strike at the slightest opportunity at other pseudo dominating power over them.
That Nnamdi Kanu’s supporters starred down army tanks with sticks is a sign that the next generation will be ready to fight bare hands if necessary to stop Nigeria treating the Igbo nation as second-class citizens. There will be fiercer and angrier Kanus in the immediate future if Nigeria does not officially stop the “vanquished “program against the Igbos who fought the civil war.
You cannot preach *unity* and *indivisibility* of the country on TV and all your actions point to discrimination against the components of the country. It is hypocrisy. It is as dangerous as it is foolhardy. Let those who preach unity walk the talk and stop open discrimination of their countrymen. History has shown that you cannot decree peace. You cannot decree unity. You cannot force any group to belong to a country by force, it may work for a time. But never sustainable.
Nigeria has a lot to look forward to as a united country. It also has enough for the regions and nations that make up the country. Our diversity is a blessing. Our failure to reach our potential is caused mostly by the internal contradictions and the inability to build a fair country that can bring out the best out of her component regions.
Those who shout most about loving Nigeria today are mostly those its current unfair structure favor. But Nigeria will continue being as strong as its weakest link. And the weak links are all there to see. The East is one of the weakest links. Until it stops being a weak link, Nigeria cannot truly make progress” Source : The Republican News.

PoliticsHow A Yoruba Muslim Police Killed Our Brother Today In Anambra by frankdoz22(op): 10:49pm On Sep 12, 2018
Just yesterday evening at about 7:45pm, officer's from oyi division of Nigerian police cut shot the life of one of our brother. Nnanna, as he was known was the only surviving son of his family. Having gotten married newly, he haven't brought any children to mourn him except his wife.
Though I haven't met him, I was enraged by the circumstances surrounding his death, precalculated-knockdown, in an attempt to confiscate his motorcycle, the gentle man was thrown against a concrete reinforcement (Calvet or gutter way) and gave up to ghost but this demons from hell left the lifeless body and took away his vehicle.
Early enough today, the whole town was already submerged in deeper choes! I saw the youths mobilized, armed with machete, bottles, sticks and so on, they are already matching to oyi police division. I quickly join the protest to register my anger.
For every kilometres covered, the road is not left without total blockade and burning tires.
Few steps to the highway, awkuzu junction, the gun is already raging the air! Undeterred by this thunderous gunshots, we match to the station with determination, to burn it down! Then the monsters hit, we were cut in crossfire, with shots fired ceaselessly, everyone was scattered and scamper for safety.I and Many embraced a near thick bush, this where I lost my precious pams, not minding, I continued barefooted. I have to maneuver a 30m high fence to locate a track that leads to my house. I sustained injuries but superficial (not serious).
Now, the peace in awkuzu has been distablized, and casualties left (one dead, and 3 with bullet wounds), what did the police achieved? No dout, they are happy!
This why I hate Nigerian police!
This why I hate Nigeria!

PoliticsBIAFRA: IPOB List Conditions To Suspend The Agitation For Biafra by frankdoz22(op): 7:24pm On Sep 08, 2018
UNDER WHAT CONDITION WOULD YOU DENOUNCE BIAFRA STRUGGLE?

A Yoruba friend ask me: under what conditions would you support One Nigeria and let go of the Biafra agitation and let it die down and finally laid to rest for good?

Here was my response:
1. Close down Lagos ports and Open up PH, Calabar, Onitsha and Warri ports.

2. Cancel all direct and major connecting flights to Lagos and Abuja airports only local connecting flights will be allowed. While this is being done, open up Enugu, Owerri, Asaba, Uyo and PH to international flights direct and major connecting flights.

3. Ask all international and diplomatic missions to move their embassies and consulates from Lagos, Kano and Abuja to Enugu, PH and Calabar.

4. All federal governments’ agencies in Lagos and Abuja shall be relocated to Enugu, PH and Calabar. CBN, NNPC, e.t.c shall and must relocate to PH, Calabar and Enugu.

5. All multinational companies in Lagos and Abuja, shall and must relocate their offices to PH, Calabar and Enugu.

6.All oil companies must relocate their head offices to Warri and PH, as the oil capital of Nigeria.

7. Let the northern children gain admission into federal schools with 300 score points while the South Eastern Children should gain admission with only 20 score points.

8. Let all federal road projects in the North/SW be handled by one local company and the ones in the SE/SS be handled by Julius Berger and foreign construction companies.

7. If these conditions can be fulfilled and implemented for 50years, we can try “one Nigeria” and lets see if you the North and SW will like it for a month.

Meaning, Yorubas and Hausas needing to get visas shall travel to PH, Calabar or Enugu to do that. Same with flying or connecting flights, same with shipping and importing their goods, e.t.c.

The Yoruba friend replied: you can’t be serious, this is wickedness.

I said: really? Don’t you think the South South and South Eastern parts of Nigeria have been suffering and enduring this very same wickedness for over 50 yrs?

He was quiet for a few seconds and said: wow, you are right, but it never occurred to me. I said, that’s the problem with “One Nigeria”, those who are benefiting from it, love it and would love to maintain the status quo.

Let each region develop at her own pace, with airports, sea ports, industries, major projects open to be develop in any part of Nigeria without government interference or strangulation due to tribalism and nepotism!

Let Nigeria be fair to all, irrespective of tribe, religion and place of birth.

Let there be true federalism and resources control, with the elimination of quota system and federalism character in Nigeria.

Let us have equal respect for one another, irrespective of where the person comes from in Nigeria.

That is what Independence is all about...!!!

What the people of Nigeria need is a referendum to end this evil contraption called Nigeria and an emergence of the stifled nations within.

We CAN NOT be silent about it. He that is silent in the days of the adversity of the oppressed, is more guilty and has taken the side of the oppressor.

Let’s keep sharing it to create more awareness. Please share.

CultureBIAFRA: The Precolonial Igbo Fathers, Unlike Yoruba's, Deserve Our Honor by frankdoz22(op): 1:17pm On Sep 08, 2018
THE PRECOLONIAL IGBO FATHERS DESERVE YOUR HONOR!
Take a look at these men! Do you know whom they are?

These are the precolonial Igbo; the only ethnic group in the world with military power as far back as the 9th century but never used it to harass their neighbors.
They were civilized and only used their guns for hunting animals for meat.

Through scientific examinations, chiukwu okike showed them that there is a yeast rich juice at the heart of the palm tree and Rafia Palm and they called it Nmanya nkwu and Nmanya ngwo respectively.

Through chiukwu okike- driven experimentation, they discovered how to ferment cassava,
remove the dangerous cyanide and produce garri and Akpu.

Because of chiukwu okike's care for us, and through them, we have Ji, pounded yam, eberebe or tapioka and protein rich salad called Ugba, to name but a few.

Okike gave them medical wisdom to heal all kinds of diseases that are native to them Through their native healers/doctors,
Chiukwu okike preserved their generations and they gave birth to new generations of Igbo.

When okike commanded you to honor your parents, it includes honoring these men and women whom he used to preserve lives in your society and not condemn them.

Even though They were not perfect but let chiukwu okike abiama be the judge.
( No people can stand tall unless they stand on the shoulders of those who came before them).

I however, consider it wise to acknowledge the great contributions that our forefathers have made to the sustenance of our lives by birthing and preserving the next generation.
I consider it evil to condemn our forefathers and deny them the honor and respects that is due to them.

These men and women of their time deserve our loving remembrance and not condemnation.

As I have just listed some few of their contributions and civilizations now.
If you still choose to continue to disregard and disrespect them, then list the contributions of your own generation who you claims to know better, udo diri unu,
Remember to sit at home on 14th of September dalu nu.

PoliticsBIAFRA: Why Nigerian Military Should Embrace Research Than Python Dance by frankdoz22(op): 1:08pm On Sep 08, 2018
OPERATION PYTHON DANCE: NIGERIA ARMY SHOULD CHANNEL RESOURCES TO VALUABLE RESEARCH PROGRAMS

It is height of absurdity to mention in this 21st century, that the Nigerian army since gaining political independence from Britain is yet enmeshed in a bizarre and unprofessional military expedition codenamed Operation Python Dance, each time Nigeria Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Yusuf Buratai and the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division of the Nigerian army in Enugu make their press statements. Nigeria as a country, is just few days away from the celebration of her 58 years of pseudo-independence from her colonial master, Britain. It is shameful that the Nigeria Ministry of Defense, Nigeria Defense Council, Nigeria Defense Headquarters and the National Assembly Chambers' Committees on Defense and Strategy are yet in such a time as we presently are amongst civilised global community, the Nigerian armed forces are yet being expected to be progressively evolutionary. They ought to have commenced channeling all available resources at their disposal, into research programs on strategy and nuclear developments for optimum performance and productivity. This is all encompassing relatively anchored on defense strategies that will ensure capacity building like what obtains in other countries of the world. But unfortunately and very shamefully too, the Nigerian army is yet despicably, parading officers around the streets of Igboland (Biafra) with the principal aim of covertly killing Igbo youths and overtly disguising their murderous expedition as "Operation Python Dance" tagged, with a show of force. The Nigerian army has abysmally descended into irredeemable infamy by consistently taking pleasure in the spillage of innocent blood of Igbo Biafran youths in Igboland. Whenever a national armed force turns around and begins to have fun in intimidating and killing the civilians that are constitutionally meant to be protected, such a force looses international prestige, pride of professionalism and the required touch of excellence, regarding rules of engagement. The Nigerian army like what obtains in other countries, are bound by law to be confined to their barracks and are only seen in occasions of national threats/defense of territorial integrity.

I hereby make bold to say that the Nigerian army should at this point withdraw all officers and men from the streets and expressways within Biafraland and start building civil engineering industries that will engender military academic research, capacity building and intellectual development as it concerns infrastructural cum developmental needs of the country. It is also important for Nigerians to fully understand that the time has come for the Ministry of Defense to begin to develop world class military engineers that will venture into nuclear research/developmental programs. Most of the countries in the African continent presently like Sudan, South Africa, Egypt, Libya etcetera, are manufacturing their military hardware in their own national defense and security industries whereas the Nigerian government is yet brazenly importing ordinary bullets which the Police Force is using. What a shame!

For how long will the Nigerian government keep on hustling from one Western country to the other in it's bizarre search for the procurement of fighter jets, armored tanks/personnel carriers, naval vessels, and call it quits with such an enterprise? When will there be commencement of development of "own military needs" rather than these wastages of energy and resources in killing innocent civilians across the Southeast? When will the Nigerian army have the understanding that such callous military expeditions even in this 21st century are no more in vogue. It is no more about shooting guns, throwing bombs/grenades and killing armless civilians as as it used to be in the dark ages of the 12th and 13th centuries. It is presently evolutional mastery wherein high profile technology/ weapons developments are progressively pursued and recorded. The Nigerian army has dwelled for so long on the streets and motorways in providing civil security which is statutorily, the obligation of the Nigerian Police since the year 1999 when democratic governance was reinstated after years of military dictatorship. This gravely eroded the prestige of the Nigerian army thereby ridiculing the positions of the soldiers to that of Boys Scouts or Man O' War organisations. It is time for the Nigerian government to float modalities that will help restore the dignity of the Nigerian army by courageously ordering the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, General Officers Commanding (GOCs) Army Divisions and Brigade Commanders of battalions all over the country except in States under emergency measures like Borno, Yobe and Adamawa, to return all soldiers back to the barracks. They should be authoritatively made to commence researches and developments of high military science, technology and engineering as it's practicably done elsewhere in the world.

It is important to state here that the persistent military siege, occupation and brutalities which are being unleashed on Igbo Biafran youths in Biafraland is to say the least most callous, despicable, despotic and greatly ridiculous. Such vampiric acts have immensely rubbished the image of the Nigerian army in this part of the world and must stop forthwith. The Nigerian army must rechannel it's budgeted resources for the murderous/oppressive "Operation Python Dance" exercise into valuable ventures that will advance it's professional cause. The tyrannic and senseless expedition being carried out in a relatively peaceful society like in the Southeast part of Biafraland, is provocative, an act of stupidity and gross wastage of resources. It is definitely uncalled for.

It is this lousy posture of the Nigerian army that has gravely reduced it's officers and men to the status of Scout Boys and Man O' War personnel, thereby making them appear as liabilities before the already overburdened tax payers. Nigerian armed forces should take a queue from their counterparts in other civilised societies where they are treated like big/dependable/respectful assets particularly in the areas of job creation and civilian employment opportunities. Amongst all these added responsibilities, they still provide adequate and professional defense/protection to their countries and citizens with respect. The Nigerian armed forces are only noted for brandishing guns, intimidating, harassing, brutalizing, maiming and killing innocent, armless/legitimate Biafran agitators and burying the killed in secret mass graves. The Nigerian army should extricate itself from ethno-religious bigotism and get wholistically rebranded. The officers should be reinvigorated in line with global acceptable norms inherent in the service for optimum productivity. The structure of wastage of resources on uneducated, unenlightened, empty brains that are trigger-happy against law abiding civilians must clinically be dismantled.

PoliticsBIAFRA: Asari Dokubo Respond To Ahmed Gume Complaints Against Ndi Igbo by frankdoz22(op): 8:22am On Sep 08, 2018
ASARI DOKUBO RESPOND TO AHMED GUME - COMPlAINT AGAINST IGBOS.

"Igbos were allowed to establish businesses and live in other parts of Nigeria peacefully. However, they deny other tribes from simple owning shops in ALL EASTERN MARKETS!

Yes! I have gone to many eastern markets for ethnic survey. And no single shop is or was allocated to non Igbo. Please if there is one market with non Igbo, please mention" - #Ahmed Gume

#RESPONSE
How many shops do Hausa or Yoruba people own in Cameroon, Ghana, Togo, South Africa, Malawi, Sierra-Leone, Gabon UK, United States, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong-kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Germany, China, Taiwan, South Korea, India and countless other countries all over the world.

Those are not Igbo areas after all. Perhaps, they deny you shops like the Igbo did in all these countries. Igbos own shops and do business in those countries.

This is exactly how lazy people complain when they fail in business. If you can't compete on your own land, how are you going to do that in Igboland or neutral ground?

Every Igbo city has a place exclusively mapped out for Hausas free of charge for temporary use (that is the truth they will not tell you). Of course you know, Hausa man has his own pattern of business and shops mostly in form of kiosk where he sold his patty trades and provisions on free given portion of the street.

Another good business they do in the east is money exchange and cattle business which they control in every Igbo city on a free given land; 100% fact. Go to Owerri, Umuahia, Enugu, Awka. Nnewi. Aba etc.

Igbos don't wait for free land or free portion to be allocated to them, they buy them from indigenes who always have it free by inheritance or by allocation but doesn’t know what to do with them. Only quota system worthless person will wait for allocation before he starts a business.

How many shops do Hausas have in Lagos and other south west states? or do the Yoruba deny them shops too? Can you compare the number of shops and markets owned by Hausas in Yoruba land to the number owned by the Igbos?

Igbos rent shops from the landlords. Igbos Buy lands from the host to build shops. Igbos buy land from their host to build markets. Igbos don't wait for shop or land allocations to start up their businesses.

How many markets has the Hausa built in Lagos? None. How many markets has the Yoruba build in the north? None or do the Hausa and the Yoruba deny selling land to one another too, like the Igbos denied them?

But Igbo have used their money to buy lands from south west and north and build many markets that helps to develop their regions.

To be honest, not every Igbo traders in south west or north can compete with the traders in the east. The traders in the east are real geniuses in trading. They are wizards in buying and selling more than those Igbo traders in the west and north.

You have to first compete with the Igbo traders in your own territory before you think of competing with them in their own territory.

Business is based on competition, the question is, can you compete? There are shops in Onitsha main market but can you afford to rent it? Even when you do what do you intend to sell to regain your profit?.

Is it igbo man that sacrifice to be single till the age of 40 to balance his business achievements before marriage you want to compete with? Igbo man who wear warn out cloths with bathroom slippers to save money for his bussiness? Or the one that maintain just one wife you choose to compete with?....The one that married, how many children do they agreed to born, all are the sacrifices in order to save more for his business.

Nobody compete with the fulanis in their cow business or you think they don’t make money in that? Please leave the igbos alone, business is their God given talent.
We are Biafrans!!!.
