I later checked the CEAC website today...i saw that our case was updated on 06April 2019 but status still shows READY

But as u said we will be patient and hope to get our VISA issued soon

Thanks for what you are doing on this thread and i really love it when i see someone who is willing to help and tries their best to do that!

So i have a some questions to ask..
My mum and my brothers had our F4 visa interview on March 19.. And it went well... But we were given a letter requesting us to drop an I-864A form in which our Petitioner Spouse Must Complete Along with our international Passport at DHL office.. And i think the reason she demanded for the I-864A form was because our petitioner is married and they need an evidence that shows that her husband is also committed in supporting us when we finally immigrate. And not Because of the Money because our petitioner has more than 120% of d poverty guideline for all of us in her household.


So we submitted the signed I-864A form on the March 26th then we added the Following additional Documents along with it :
1)Our petitioner marriage certificate to prove he is the spouse,
2)we also added his W2 form as an evidence that he collects **** amount which has been written in the I-864A form
3) His naturalization certificate to prove he is an american Citizen
4) Lastly, we included a notarized letter Written by Our petitioner Spouse Stating that he is the One who completed the form and He is the Spouse Of the petitioner.

We did send all those additional Documents eventhough they were not requested in order to make sure the Visa officer has every thing she needs in case she is not satisfied with the I-864A form...
So we saw a case update on our case On 28th March ..i think that should represent when our Documents and Passport got to d embassy..
Then there was no update until on the 03 April ..since then we haven't gotten any case update

So my questions are
1) i hope those additional documents won't affect our case in any form ??..because am so scared that the VO may be saying we are doing too much.
2) Our ccase Status on d CEAC website still shows That Our Case is READY for interview ..in which we have done the interview which is making us very confused?? What does it mean?? Is it also another way of saying Administrative Processing or what??

The last update I got was when I think dhl must have delivered the documents to them. Getting an update recently is a good sign for you.

Yes i submitted my documents on the 26th of March and saw a Case Update on the 28th of March...i guess that was when dhl dropped our documents...

So since then i havent gotten an update until yesterday!
But it still says CASE STATUS is READY .. What does yours says??

No the case hasn't been issued .. The status still shows Ready and it was last updated since 03 April 2019

I checked on the CEAC status it was updated yesterday 03 April 2019..no updates today

And the status is still on READY mine didnt even go to AP i dont even know why

Better then send it through DHL because they would love to see The signature in its Original form

I think we should take the document inside an envelope .. Cos i think they will collect from us at the dhl and package it for us and send it to D embassy!

Pls at what stage can one get the police clearance, is it immediately you get your welcome letter and which headquarters in abuja is it issued

Get it when u are already at the stage where you will be getting your supporting documents...

The only place I know is at Alagbon Police Station they recommend

It took 2 working days in my own case, I submitted on Fri and got a mail on tuesday
I opened the account on Saturday as @pretty16 advised

And also i want to ask where you ask to return your passport along with the required documents??

And also was it only one letter that was given to you at the interview or u were given another letter about paying your green card??

Do they deny immigrant like non immigrant,when your file is complete and no fraud can they deny

They dont deny it its genuine...
What they do is that Delay the cases if they are not sure if enough documents that can convince the Consular Officer

Is this normal? Also in the letter she gave us to attach the documents, the first paragraph talks about how applicants need to create an online account so that they can be notified about their visa status, Since our case is pending, should i still go ahead and create an account? Also if i want to create, will i create for just my mum? Because she is the main applicant for immigration visa, i am just her son under the age of 21( a derivative applicant), or do i need to create 2 separate accounts for us?

Also waiting for my appointment letter. Got my case complete email about a week ago. How long does it take to get the appointment letter. My category is the CR1 spousal visa so I believe my case is current already

Just give it a couple of weeks..

Its not so hard ...just make sure u take all your required documents and make sure u dont forget any ...

And it was Good ( although the black woman who was the interviewer was a bit tough but we thank God)....she told us we are approved ..and she evem gave me and Brother a form to fill declaring that we wont get married till we get to d US..but she then told us to tell our Petitioner to ask her spouse to fill in I-864A since she is married... And we should drop it at the DHL office along with our international passport!

So guys I want to ask how many Days do you think it would take for us to get the visa issued after submitting it?
PS : I did mine at US CONSULATE LAGOS

Explain what the problem is, and send copies of the correct birthdate. Just make sure you get yourself straightened out before your interview. Print out the sent letter too, so you can explain to your interviewer so that they will correct your child's date of birth.

My petitioner just arrived Nigeria and She gave us a letter( which was duly notarized over there) that explaining what happened and what should be done !!!
Although she didnt any letter to them ooo..she just gave us a letter that we should give the interviewer in case the interviewer notices that mistake!

Tell her to send an email to NVC and send a mail to them with the correct documents, and give you a copy of her written email she wrote to NVC with the corrected documents to take to the embassy as evidence. Do that as soon as possible.

@Pretty16 but our case is not more at nvc but at the Embassy and they are not more picking our calls anymore at NVC

Do u think sending an email to nvc will still worth it cos our interview is next Week
