Hello house, so my mum wants to get a new car and she's really crazed about Pontiac Vibe. Although I've read a couple of good stuffs about the car online - I'll still want to consult with the car gods here so she don't regret making that choice. So guys, what do you think about the Pontiac vibe, do you recommend or not

Hi. My younger sister got to Niger delta university. (I.e through jamb) the school portal is still saying admission in progress. Please
1. How do we accept the admission on the jamb portal?
2. Can we proceed with registrationprocess on the school portal?
3. The course she was given on jamb is not what she applied for, they are asking us to change the course first before printing out admission letter. But jamb is saying you can do it just once. How do we go about it?

I tried the number on the website but it keeps forwarding.

Hello guys, my younger brother wrote putme at UNIZIK and I've been checking his admission status ever since but what it shows is "admission in progress, check later" until this morning when I checked and saw that he has been admitted but according to the admission slip, registrar closed 22nd December, 2017 and biometric scan date & time is scheduled at "Tue, 29 Jan 2018" which I think is an error cos Tue is tomorrow, 30th.

I don't know if admission is still on and one can still pay the acceptance fee, pls guys I need detailed info right now if you know about UNIZIK admission process. Thanks

Phones / Top 5 Mobile Apps At Techplus 2017 by Frankestein08(m): 4:11am On Jul 08, 2017
The solutions are among several mobile applications looking to the penetrate into Nigeria’s mobile first economy.

At the ongoing technology exhibition and conference going on at the Landmark Event Centre, several technology solutions are on exhibition. Among the solutions are several mobile applications looking to the penetrate into Nigeria’s mobile first economy.

Below are the top 5 apps that made its debut at the tech event:

1. Ask An Expert: This does sound more like a response to a question rather than a name of name. well, this is because the app does just that – provide answers to questions through an expert. Ask An Expert was launched at the Techplus event on July 6 2017 and according to the Project Director, Ask An Expert, Felix Rwang Dung, the platform provides opportunity for people looking to get expert answers to any question troubling their minds.

Through the platforms, you can interact with any expert of your choosing live. Depending on the expert, you may get to pay a token per every 10 mins you interact with the expert. The first ten minutes are free however but you also can find other experts who may be willing to provide you the information you need free of charge.

So, are you still wondering what time of the day that human being grow? Pick up your mobile phone and Ask An Expert.

2. PINS: Its not clear what PINS is an acronym or not but basically PINS helps you to protect your phone from theft. With PINS installed on your smartphone, you can worry less about pickpockets.

Should any thief ‘corner’ your phone, the PINS app takes his picture as he fondles with it so that it can show you the picture of the thief and the exact location he may be with the phone.
PINS also helps you track your SIM card, backup your data on the cloud or wipe it clean if you are unable to track the thief down eventually.

3. REACH: Your take home pay is close to 200, 000 Naira a month. You know it should be enough. But before the month ends, your will be on red. You keep where the money goes.

If that is your story. Reach is here to the rescue. Reach is a mobile solution launched by former Executive of electronic payment J.R Kanu at Konga.com

It is called a Group Savings solution and it basically helps you to track your spending. On board Reach, you don’t have to supply your bank account details, all you need supply are basic info such as your names, phone numbers and date of birth and you are good to go.

The app will track your spending day by day, week by week and month on month, so that you don’t keep wondering if anyone is stealing from you or doing you jazz.

Isn’t this awesome?

4. Maliyo Store: Maliyo has become synonymous with games; those localized themed games that get you hooked to your screen all day. But business of games apart, Maliyo has been unto something bigger. Wait for it guys, Maliyo has an app store. Maliyo has launched an app store for Nigerian app developers to get to the market. So, if you are an app developer, you now have no excuse not to have your app in the market, Maliyo may be the next big thing to happen to Nigeria’s app economy.

5. Bounce News: So you have probably have been reading stories on Bounce without knowing it’s a news app. Well, Bounce News is a news app and is changing the way people get their news delivered to them.

The Bounce News app is a machine learning system that delivers to you only what you want to read.

Once you download the app, you choose your preferences based on interests and the app has the commitment to only deliver those to you.

Let’s say you only like to read stories about celebrities, music, movies and sports. The app will only deliver only stories related to these interests to you, instead of having everything thrown at you.

Isn’t that awesome?

Events / Twin Rainbows Sighted In Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. by Frankestein08(m): 1:20pm On Sep 16, 2016
Hello nairalanders,
So yesterday, after I spent a very long time at my best friend's house who happens to be a girl (Don't think too much about it).

On my way back home, rain was drizzling a bit but I couldn't help but notice everyone looking in my direction but upwards so I got curious and decide to look back n see what all d fuss was about and then for the first time I saw the most beautiful thing I've ever seen nature do. I saw not one but two rainbows just few meters apart right up there in the sky...I named them "Twinbows" lol.

At first, I was reluctant to take pictures but then I decided to take some pictures. I took the first picture and was seconds from taking the second then the most amazing thing ever happened...there was a lightening across the sky and I couldn't believe I got it on camera...hell, I underestimated my phone camera!!!

This is just too good that I cannot but share and I really hope it makes front page so everyone could see.

Car Talk / Appeal To MODS To Unban Motoringnigeria Nairaland Account (must Read). by Frankestein08(m): 1:40am On Sep 01, 2016
Hello fellow naiaralanders,
I feel its time I tendered this issue to the house so you can all plead to the MODS our behalf.

Motoring Nigeria as most of us know, has been one of the major contributors on this forum. We have brought to your peruse - car news, amazing articles, updates on cars and bike shows In Nigeria like the bikers converge, Lagos auto-fest, eko atlantic car show, ultimate motorsport carnival, grills2grills, the gathering, asaba convection, eleko motor race, rimz and beatz, edo superbike road race, bikers road roar amongst other mind blowing events that occur annually in Nigeria that most individuals have little or no idea of.

Not so far back we were victims to online hackers, all our accts and social media platforms – Email, OLX, CARMUDI, FACEBOOK, NAIRALAND and other platform. The tried to scam our potential customers but fortunately enough, we got hold of the situation and released a public note on the situation and urged our clients and fans to desist from doing business through our various online platforms below is a copy of the disclaimer. Hopefully, our various accts were recovered and we incurred less damages.

Due to the unruly activities of the hacker, our nairaland acct got banned till May 05, 2026 as show in the picture below. In view of this, we mail the MODS about the unfortunate turn of events and also sent them a copy of our disclaimer so as to unban our Nairaland acct. The first mail was sent to the MODS (Mail the MODS) using my acct on the 7th of May, 2016 as we could not find any direct means of contacting the MODS. Ever since we’ve been sending one mail after the other and yet there is still no reply from the MODS and our acct inactive.

There are more shows and events coming up soon and we feel limited in our capabilities to bring this events and happenings right to your doorsteps. You all witnessed the unveiling of our very first and maiden edition of our magazine, Carvolution, which also happens to be the first automobile magazine in Nigeria and it received over 10,000+ views. It was also right here that we released our Roadkill series, the first story racing series in Nigeria and in your little time, you all made out time to read and complement our efforts.

The second edition of our e-mag, Carvolution, is in the making and will be out soon for you to download. The same goes for the second season of our Roadkill series, also we have upcoming events that we would like to share with you – the BMW Cent en Aryn Show is coming up in 10days and we will love to bring this turbo-charging-event to you wherever you may be. You all have supported us, bashed us, advised us - all in your own little ways and they are all very well appreciated and we feel it a sin on our part not to keep you informed. Therefore, we ask you all - Gazzuzz, whizpeter, marshalcarter, peterjero, tmanis, lagusta, arrowassasin, divineluv14, dumo1, mejai, king406, tunergy, kingsley989, msitachi, toxiflam, trishguy, gadgetmobile, oneman11, nobody and all who have been supportive in one way or the other to help us to plead to the MODS on our behalf. Thank you
