the journey na 2014 him start, i couldn't continue because of incomplete docs.

after uaf bleeping my admission chances with there [b]we suspect the transcript might have been opened ish[/b]on the two occasions my transcript was sent. i kept receiving rejection letter from the universities i applied to, not until i was surprised with an admission letter which i wasn't expecting from the last school.

my time line

Submitted online application on the 6/7/2016

was suppose to visit the embassy on 22/7/2016 survived a road crash with just minor injuries hence couldn't make it for the interview. i had to reschedule for on 23/07/2016 at the embassy without informing them

my application moved to in progress on 15/07/2016

i got a positive decision on my application on 18/07/2016

my rp + decision reached abuja on 25/07/2016

my birthday was on 31/07/2016 my last birthday for naija. yekpa

my rp card + decision got to me today 01/08/2016

wow!!!. What i meant is i have not seen peeps here who said they will be going for interview after the date i mentioned. That led me to make that comment only for you to inform us that some are even going for interview on August29. How will they cope with time because many schools will start orientation this month end or first week of sept. I wish all luck and positive decision with regards to RP

Hope contacting migri will not pose a negative decision because they wrote that contacting them will not speed up the process? Seems nobody dey go interview after 20th july(i stand to be corrected). Here is my timeline:
8th June, 2016 –I submitted the application online
10th June, 2016-I sent a mail request for 22nd June as interview date but was invited against 17th
6/17/2016 –I visited the embassy.
7/14/2016-The status changed to processing.
7/19/2016 –I received an email about the decision and checked on the dashboard.
7/25/2016-Received email that card has arrived Nigeria and sent my passport to the Finnish embassy Abuja.
7/29/2016-Got the card.

Pls note: I did not submit Ole_opi form. I just printed the online summary.
I was also not asked for supplement.

congrats. I am happy for you. I went for interview on 18th of july and on 20th july my statues changed to in progress(stage 2). It is 11 days now. Should I email migri because it seems that when person own change to in progress it takes less than 5days to make a decision or request supplement.

Regardless of the time frame, stress or what ever u call it; Be wise and take to the boss advice!
1. It takes at least 3 - 6 months to go through Finnish driving school
2. The cost is minimum of 2,500e - 3,500e depending on school and package specified for you
3. Regardless of your driving skill or level u will have to go through this class if u come without your license
4. You will also go through the above process if your license is issued after u have arrived in Finland or
5. If you do not change it before 18-months after your arrival in Finland.

The stress of Finnish driving school + about 1m to get a license, do the maths urself.

Secondly, It could help you nack a job swiftly though nothing is certain. Lots of job adverts require people that can drive. I just got one because of that simple fact + grace of God. I use the company car because the location where I work is remote.

Lastly, this is just by the way. Driving on Finnish road is fun! Good roads and elite drivers make driving a different experience from what ever are u used to. Hope u roger that>>

Ok. But considering the time frame of getting a license in naija is damn too stressful. Personally I dont have one but i learnt it will take 3-4 months to be ready. Let me ask,the DL is it necessary in the area of getting jobs or if u want to drive in finland?

yes i have gotton the said number. She did mine electronically. Went for interview on monday and on wednesday my statues changed to in progress. Below is a clear pix of it

I did my interview on the 18th of July. Thank God they did not ask me about the bank issue. I obeyed Olabode advice. I was interviewed by a young beautiful lady. The naija ladies were not harsh to me. During the interview the software to ask me questions could not open as confirmed by the lady. She said she will use my written answers instead and made her recommendations. What sweet me was after the interview she told me that the RP will be ready in 2weeks time and she will write me on how to collect it. God be praised

for the forex policy..i don't know about that...

No bro. I did that and some naija peeps were in the same thing. The major issue is that i dont have my RP yet so I cant pay the 200 euro deposit now. So the peeps wey dey in my shoe assurred that we find an alternative maybe not in the student houses but other private housing scheme

Hello everyone, I am worried. I secured a shared apartment in KATAJAKATU and the fee monthly is 250 euros . Unfortunately I could not meet up with the payment of rent deposit due to strict Nigerian forex policy and also arranging for my resident permit. I received a mail from LOAS that my application have been cancelled due to the fact that my depoist was not paid. I was adviced to reapply so that my application can be on queue with a note that it will not be a guarantee to getting another room. Who else experienced this and what is the best way out? If a student was unable to secure a room in LOAS, are they other alternatives that are cheap in Lappeeranta?

oga amen!!! I will be sending my dox to embassy this week or next. I am confused about including my intl passport in the package to be sent to the embassy. Should i include it or not? Or take it along with me on the day of interview. Also after filling the form online i printed the summary which i will include in my package, do i also need to fill the OLE form and include in my package to be sent to the embassy?
I am going as a self sponsored biz guy with biz dox except tax clearance cert,profit and loss statement(went to some auditors to generate that for me and dey charge 50k i leave am). I dey panic sef as i comot the cash in my acct i sent to imgri to purchase goods thinking i can raise it back before going to interview still no sales. I dey pray ooooo make i raise the money before going for interview as i read here that i will reprint my acct but do embassy verify balance in acct after interview? Abeg i need una prayers

i checked finland website for update. The service fees were updated on 21june2016 . The service charge for electronic route is 67,000 naira so i think they didnt amend any fees much

That is not what they menat. They meant if the differnece in the official naira rate is high they will evauate their existing policy. But noyhing as changed for now. Aso it will definitely not affect those that have submitted their appliactions. Ony new ones like me can be a little bit alarmed.

I just called the embassy in Finland now.They said they are aware of the situation; they will only ask for supplements concerning the finance if the difference is so large.As for now they are still treating it as it were......I mean the immigration office in Finland.

No one should assume they don't know....Oyinbo take their work seriously. And someone is paid to carry out the task of implementing all those things. Also, if you like mail them till tomorrow it doesn't affect the decision that will be made on an international n diplomatic level...

ok ooooo at least i am kool. So what they meant is they will ask for evidence if they are large deposits in ones account.but they will peg their minimum at 225naira per euro

This is to inform that the residence permit card associated with the positive decision on your residence permit application has arrived at the Embassy of Finland in Abuja. The residence permit card can be collected in one of two ways.

Collection via courier company. You should send your passport with a cover letter through DHL, UPS, FedEx or any other courier to the Embassy using the address below. The cover letter should indicate your email address, telephone number, customer number and return delivery address, and authorize the courier company to return your documents to you.

You should pay in advance for the return delivery of the passport to the courier company at the same time of sending the passport to the Embassy. The Embassy will not return the passport if the return delivery is not paid in advance.
