Congrats
My heart beat don increase. I applied to Information Technology-Networks and communication. Received a rejection letter. Important notice to HND graduates even if they have PGD, my advice is that they should enroll into a university to earn a Bsc. All these rejects is because I apply with HND and PGD. Remaining only LUT. What do I do, Do I appeal to this?
Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your application to the Master's programme in Information Technology, Communication Systems and Networks at Tampere University of Technology. The admission decision has been made and we regret to inform you that unfortunately you have not been accepted to the programme.

This email concerns only your application to the Master's programme in Information Technology, Communication Systems and Networks. In case you have applied to more than one Master's programme at TUT, you will receive a separate e-mail concerning the admission result of each of the programmes you have applied to.

We received altogether 911 applications to our eight programmes. The admission was highly competitive this year and only a limited number of the highest qualified students were accepted in the programmes. All applicants fulfilling the requirements could not be granted admission. There is no fixed quota for the annual intake of international students at Tampere University of Technology.

More information on the application process can be found on http://www.tut.fi/en/admissions/applying-to-tut/masters-degrees/how-to-apply/application-process

We thank you for your interest in studies at TUT and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

University of eastern finland..UEF. IMPIT programe (masters in information technology).
Dear all,

Many greetings from IMPIT. We thank for your patience but we still need to ask some more of it. We received lots of good applications and we had to take some more time in order to be able to make the decision. The last meeting was today. If you are receiving this email, it means that you are on our list of applicants suggested to be accepted either conditionally (meaning that in the case of Deans positive decision you still need to provide the final degree certificate and such when you get them) or directly (no reason to provide any additional documents after the decision from the Dean). It is possible that we will get the decision from the Dean tomorrow, but it is possible that this is delayed until the next week.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE, but we just wanted to let you know the situation and that we have suggested you to be accepted. We would appreciate that you would not write anything related to this to our FB page yet. As soon as we get the decision we will announce it.

Have a great day!

Kind regards, Oili Kohonen

Thanks Bro
I dont only have HND but PGD inclusive of HND and OND in Computer Science.
Cheers

Congrats to have scaled through the UAF!
The next phase is the University in question. If you are applying for MSc with HND, it is very difficult/impossible in some departments(dont't know of IT). People with bachelors degrees from University of Applied Sciences in Finland find it difficult to get into MSc program with their degree. However, if the international course coordinator says the degree can be used for MSc, it is cool.

All The Best!

The same happened to me bro. I scored a total score of 60 in the PTE with Listening=55,Reading=63,Speaking=52,Writing=62 and I received a rejection letter from Helsinki to the effect that my Language proficiency didn't meet their standard so I guess they just dot every I and cross every T to make admission decision. That your score on speaking is enough excuse for them to reject your application. Lets expect admit letter from other schools applied.

jeffoe:
i got a surprising mail from university of helsinki stating the reason why my application was rejected, and strangely nothing was said about the 2 set of transcript rejected by uaf, and that i was disqualified solely based on the fact that i didn't meet the language requirement though they gave me an option to appeal i don't know if it would be necessary to make the appeal
note: their Minimum requirement: overall score 62, with a minimum score of 54 in each communicative skills section listening, reading, speaking and writing
my overall score was 63 i only did not meet the minimum score for the speaking part.
suggestion from the house would be appreciated

Hello everyone,

I need your candid opinion on a burning issue which has been troubling me for some time now. I am really ashamed and remorseful of my actions, it was just the situation I found myself. I was once a footballer and once had an opportunity to travel to Europe for my footballing career but this did not work out as planned. I got a passport for this purpose where I did not use my real age, as advised by my coach and agent. I later dropped football and went back to school. Now I am done with my first degree and I intend going abroad for my masters degree. The old passport with my false age expired and I proceeded to the NIS office where I met an Immigration officer who assisted me and got me another passport after I did the Biometrics. I actually paid him 100k for this. I really don't know if it was renewal or re-issue he did but this new passport has my real age and name which tally with my academic documents. The new passport has the old and new passport numbers written on it its data page. Now my question is, with the old number available on the passport, will the embassy verify and compare the information on the new and old passports?

Thanks for your useful contributions.

Good Day All
Did you dudes expecting interview from oulu and other schools receive a notification from UAF that your application is complete and sent to your schools of preference?
I got a mail from UAF on 2nd February, 2016 that my PGD is not eligible for Master degree but I resent my HND and ND as I did sent it through Nipost earlier but had to resend it via DHL so as to augment my application and the doc arrived UAF on 8th February,2016. I didn't receive an acknowledgement from UAF until I sent them a mail and they replied that it is the schools that evaluate the transcript, theirs is to check the eligibility of students. up to 27th February,2016 I resent another email about the correspondence I made to various schools about my statues and a go ahead order to apply.
I ask do UAF send application to schools without informing applicants again?
thanks

Good Day All,

After UAF sent me a mail that my ND,HND,PGD in computer science will not get me admission to Finland, I resent a mail to various schools and UAF, I got a reply from UAF stating:

Thank you for your message,

a) From the time the application period ends, you will have fourteen days to supplement that application. The deadline for supplements is stated in the notification email sent to you. Please note that time to supplement an application is given only once per application and all required enclosures must reach UAF by the given deadline in order for them to be processed.

Language skill requirements are set by the universities and programmes, so please check to make sure that the program you are applying to accepts PTE as a way to prove your language skills.

b) Post Graduate Diploma alone does not show your eligibility to Master's level studies, as Post Graduate Diploma is done after Bachelor's level. You need to indicate us the degree which gives you eligibility to Master's level studies. This means either a) Bachelor's Degree, or b) National Diploma, Higher National Diploma and Post Higher National Diploma together.

You must submit as many sets of officially certified educational documents as there are programmes you are applying to, e.g. if you apply to three programmes, we require three sets of officially certified application documents.

Please note that there are country-specific requirements mandating that educational documents must be submitted in a certain way. These country-specific requirements must be followed first and foremost, before any regular requirements for attesting documents. Please check the relevant country-specific regulations at http://universityadmissions.fi/?page_id=24.

and UEF sent me a reply which reads:

Dear Intending Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the University of Eastern Finland. To be
eligible for master's level at universities in Finland you need to have both
degrees, Higher National Diploma (HND) and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD).

For further information please visit the programme's website
http://www.uef.fi/en/web/impit/admission-requirements. You can also contact UAF
for more information, info@universityadmissions.fi.

After reading their mails, I was relieved. Thanks to you all
