Good morning everyone, been a silent (aka ghost) follower. I've learnt a lot. Thank you all who are here selflessly helping... I am a radiographer and my question is somewhat specific, I have done some of the things needed: I wrote TOEFL and passed, Im gathering documents and I just wanted to know from someone who has done the assessment what I should expect as the result. This will determine if my husband should begin his own assessment to give us that extra 5 points.
Hi, am a Radiographer too, am glad you are here.....we should connect, I'll send you a mail right away, pls respond.

I joined this thread November last year, shortly after graduating from school, the accessing body for my profession insisted on 2 years post graduation job experience before you can get a positive outcome.....one year has passed, unto the 2nd year now, the wait is not easy, but its worth it!!! Kudos to all the in-house gurus and congrats to those that have made it.

Yes it is worth it
Pls, are you 100% certain that NACETEM PGD will be evaluated favorably ? Am not doubting,I just want to be sure because I want to enroll too. Thanks

PGD does not count as highest degree in this case. That's only reserved for Master's and Doctorate degrees. Please evaluate your BSc along with your PGD to get points for 2 or more certificates.

Kindly go to page 1 and carefully read and understand this EE process. You will not regret it.
Thank you, I appreciate.

Do a Google search 'list of professional degrees canada EE'. If sonographer is on the list, good. If not, use 2 or more. (Hopefully your PGD qualifiés to receive equivalent évaluation)

Try to visit as many links on page one of this thread as you can. Almost no experience is new under the sun.
Thank you so much, my profession was not on the EE list, so I will go with 2 or more. In the case of Degree and PGD, I will need to send only the PGD for evaluation right ?

Nothing is impossible. However, your research has provided you with the most most reliable expectations for now.
Thank you bro for your assistance, the CRS of 405 was based on barest minimum of IELTS, I checked again with high IELTS and I found out that my CRS will be well above 450. It is now left for me to get the job done with IELTS

Now my next point of call is with Education qualification, I can either go for 2 or more certificate (I have a degree and a PGD certificate in a specialty of my profession) or I can go for "a professional degree needed to practice in a Licensed profession". I am a medical Radiographer(referred to as Medical Radiation Technologist in Canada) and the profession is regulated and practitioners are licensed before they can practise in Canada. So which
option do you advice I pick ? I tired both on CRS projector and both of them placed me at projected CRS well above 450.

Gurus in the house, abeg make una help a rookie.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/submit-profile/rounds-invitations/results-previous.html

Follow the link, you'll see history of draws from the very beginning. Look out for 'CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited.' By the time you study the trend, you will be able to predict when if or when a score of 405 will get picked. Won't take you more than 30 minutes, I promise.
Thank you,I just checked, the lowest for FSW which my profession falls into is 413 on May 2017.

So this means that my 405 won't fly ?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by Franklyly: 12:40pm On Oct 12, 2018
Good day gurus in the house, pls my projected CRS stands at 405, will it be enough to see me through and land me an Invite ? If yes, how long can be estimated for me to wait in the pool before getting picked(I know no one can predict, am just asking for estimate to prepare my mind).

Thank you all for your kind response.

You guys doing a wonderful job, i am a Medical Radiographer of 6 years working experience,31,married, wifey 28 an accountant with also 6 years working experience.I have read all through the thread and i googled about my profession and i was able to come up with that info.Pls i kindly help clarify what those points meant. Thanks
But let me break down your points for you
Age 31 =30
Education Bsc =15
Experience 6yrs =10points
English = 20 points
Total = 75 points.
If your wife assess as accountant, you will get extra 5 points making it 80 points, but no need for that 75 is good enough already.

For a Medical Profession that is only about 2% filled for the year, I guess you will land a grant immediately you apply, you just have to calmly start the process, Congrats your grant is almost certain. For our assessing body, you need to write Eng test before you can submit for assesement so I guess you have to start there, I have a lot more info, we need to connect in pm, congrats bro!!!

I will advice Nigerian Doctors to start adjusting, the status quo can no longer remain, we are no more in 1960 when it was almost just only Doctors twisting the law to suit only them, thousands of other health professionals have been trained now and they will not sit back and watch the Doctors pocket them like it was still 1960!!!!

nonsense!!!
I no be doctor. Non of my family members are doctors. In fact some of them are johesu members. But I agree fully with the doctors on this. RELATIVITY IS SACROSANCT.

If u wanna be treated like a doctor, then just go and become a doctor!! Make we just stop all this ego and arm twisting. That is what is taking us backwards in this country.
Pls kindly read the post above you and then determine the group doing arm twisting
HealthRe: NMA Threatens To Embark On Strike If FG Yield To The Demands Of JOHESU by Franklyly(op): 7:26pm On May 10, 2018
A meeting between the federal government and the striking health workers under the aegis of the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) has again ended with no agreement, a leader of the union has said.
According to the National Vice Chairman of JOHESU, Ogbonna Chimela, the government in the meeting held Wednesday said they are preparing an offer for the union.
“They said they want to make an offer to us but we don’t know what it is yet until we study it and know if its what we can accept or not,” Mr Chimela said.
JOHESU, an association of health workers except doctors, has been on strike for exactly 22 days.
Patients are worst hit as nurses and midwives — some of the most influential members of JOHESU — have all downed tools in federal health institutions.
PREMIUM TIMES earlier Wednesday
reported that the states and local governments health workers had been directed to join the strike by Wednesday, midnight.
State leaders of the union said they agreed to join the ongoing strike so as to mount maximum pressure on government to meet their demands.
“Our position is still clear. The federal institutions are all on strike. The state and local government health workers have joined and it will continue this way till our demands are fully met,” Mr Chimela told PREMIUM TIMES on Thursday.
He added that the government said it will contact the Union by 8 p.m. Thursday for a continuation of the meeting.
When contacted for comments, Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, said the meeting between the government and the union is still ongoing.
“We are still meeting with them,” the minister said in a text message.
On states and local government health institutions joining the industrial action, he said, “I still need to confirm that.”

For you to apply for SC189, you have to be a MLS. For you to be assessed as a MLS by AIMS, you must sit and pass the AIMS exams, which holds twice a year in March and September.

For you to qualify to sit for the exams, you must have a positive assessment as a MLT from AIMS. With a positive assessment as a MLT, you can also go for state sponsorship for the SC190 or SC489 visas.

Because of the exam cost implication, some people prefer to go for the state sponsorship in order to sit for the AIMS exam once they are onshore. Currently only the NT, TAS and SA are nominating MLTs.

For the POF, there's always a solution for any problem under the sun. You just need to focus and go for what you want, nothing should deter you. You won't be the first person to be faced with the POF thingy.

Speaking of being a young MLS, how many years of work experience do you have?

If there are any more questions, you're free to ask.
Hello, I wish I could find on this thread A Medical Diagnostic Radiographer or Sonographer that has successfully migrated to help me out too, seems medical professionals are very less here, much of ICT, Engineers and Accountants
