Ronaldinnioh: IGNORANCE kills faster than Ebola. Medical Laboratory Sciences as a course has no relevance today and speaking from as a Doctor here are my reasons. We just have them their because we Doctors wants to help out and ease the burden of work on us and also make unemployment reduce. Left to us we can function fully without them. Asin they are highly irrelevant.
1. A doctor who has finished Medicine and Surgery can further into Residence program to study that Courses offered in MedLab which include HEMATOLOGY AND IMMUNOLOGY, CHEMICAL PATHOLOGY AND HISTOPATHOLOGY ( inside MORBID ANATOMY) as a Specialist and be awarded a Fellow( Consultant) in any of these course listed above which is being studied by a Medical Lab Scientists. This in such a way makes their course irrelevant since A Doctor who is undergoing the training can still function fully as Medical Lab scientist. So the Doctor is not a Quack but made his point not in full. We don't even need them as much. Even Medical Radiographer's as a graduate work is restricted to taking plain Radiographs(X-rays). But Ultrasound Scan, MRI,CT scan,Specials are being operated in the Teaching Hospital/FMC by a Resident Doctor's or a Consultant Doctor who is a specialist in Medical Radiography.
So dear try and ask question before you tag one ignorance or speak wonderful grammar without knowing you made a mess of yourself. Ur ignorance is pathologic, educate yourself bro, Its Joblessness that will make a Dr abandon his Job to start dragging Jobs with Lab Scientist and Imaging Scientist, am so sorry for Nigeria Doctors |

Ok.. congratulations once again...
@Franklyly
Read this link to understand the assessment process for your qualification.
http://www.asmirt.org/overseasass.php Thank you so much,the link was very helpful, the assessing body requires at least 2 years of clinical practice in the last 5 years to ensure a successful outcome, I guess I have to wait till I have the minimum 2 years experience before I start the process. While waiting for experience, can I register for the English Language exams to have the requirements on stand by ? |

Cottyekundayo: You can only have one level of English i.e superior or proficient. Which occupation are you nominating You may want to google for MLTSSL to check the list of occupations in demand. Thank you, in that case I'll be targeting the Superior level to boost my points and cover for my lack of experience. The occupation I'll be nominating is "Medical Diagnostic Radiographer" , it is in demand. |
