I don't know if I should book a flight down or just wait for visa but by then only God knows what flight fares will be.

You can pay 50 dollar to hold down the price of Turkish airline for a week but how sure are you to get the visa in a week?
I just took same risk
Bio 20th of august and family of 4 can’t pay huge flight so I just paid 150 to hold the price for a week for 26th September hopefully decision will be made in a week.

That's usually the course start date. Most schools often leave a window of up to three weeks or a month after the course start date to allow prospective students with different types of delays meet up.

The belief is two to three weeks of missing classes may not hurt. However, some schools are being stringent with their resumption dates now.

Your CAS also contain the last date I are allowed to resume.
