Politics / Re: Breaking News: Nlc Have Officially Called Off The Strike by Frankviews: 2:46pm On Jan 16, 2012
Back to work alright. But we are watching! GEJ, Deziani, Ngozi, please take note! We are waiting for the refineries to start working, the rail-lines, security issues managed, electricity supply improved and the palliatives, hmmmm hope it is still in the offering.
Politics / Re: Subsidy Protest Hall Of Shame by Frankviews: 2:00pm On Jan 16, 2012
There are so many ways of silencing the public and this thread is one good strategy.
Naming and Shaming indeed!, If I may ask: Why name and shame people who rose and stood on the side of the masses when they so much needed their voices to be heard? Whatever, be the reason for all those mentioned at least, it is on record that they made clear their stand on these issues. So many people have said this is, now a fight against CORRUPTION! not a fight against VOICE! So instead of naming and shaming people for speaking up, irrespective of their past sins. Name and shame people who have caused these pains on the Nigerian people. The cabals, the people in government that have been signing papers to allow over payment of fuel supply, people doing shady deals in the petroluem sector, people in government who has been living like kings and queens at the blood driping expense of the poor Nigerian masses, people in government, who have been giving us all kinds of figures for fuel subsidy like from 300B to 1.3 T. shocked. for discrepancies in records. for asking people to make sacrifices while they are not willing to make any! various House of Assemblies in the states for not saying a word! in favour or against, Shame on them.
Politics / Re: Do You Want The Fuel Subsidy Back? Please Vote Here: by Frankviews: 1:23pm On Jan 16, 2012
I vote for reversal to N65, because the political elite have not been honest and transparent to the people. They will not start except we demand for it.
Politics / Re: Enugu Defies Ban, Joins Protest Against Subsidy Removal! by Frankviews: 11:28pm On Jan 11, 2012
Just for the record. GEJ is not Igbo. People should go and read their histroy notes please!. GEJ is from Bayelsa and does not understand a word of Igbo language. The main reason the Enugu people are not protesting is firstly, because their economy depends on civil service salary, about 60% occupants are traders, while the rest are transporters, as opposed to what is obtainable in other states, where there may be other alternative sources of livelihood. Secondly, most activists are still stuck in their villages and have no means of coming back to the city. cheesy Any interpretation of this inaction as backstabing, should be withdrawn. The very poor people of Enugu need this protests, at least to learn how to find their voices. Have mercy upon them jare and ride on!
Politics / Re: Why Gain A Kobo To Lose A Naira? By Dr. Okonjo-iweala by Frankviews: 3:57pm On Jan 09, 2012
I want to ask madam, that is fighting corruption with subsidy? Did your economic team, follow due process to procure these 1100 buses according to the Public Procurement Act? How many local bus assemblers (not Manufactures) bid-ed for the deal? Was it advertised in the dailies as provided by the law, or is the excuse that, in the best interest of Nigerians it was rushed to stop the protests. Meanwhile the protests is not about the subsidy removal it is indeed the expression of the people that they do not trust how these moneys would be invested. These palliatives have once again proved the point, let's watch and see how the rail contracts will be awarded,

You people simply miss the point, subsidy may be the answer but because of your antecedents, we do not trust you guys to manage it as much as we do not want the cabal to gain. Reversal is not saying give it back to the cabals, there alternatives you people have refused to consider. at least start to expose them and expose their cohorts and agents in government, show us examples of serious fight against corruption, NOTHING to show!
Politics / Re: Blame Nobody But Yourselves, Nigerians! by Frankviews: 3:23pm On Jan 09, 2012
Agreed, well recieved we stupidly voted for the bigest bill board and the most rythmic jingle and advert, may be to ethnic/religious sentiments. We sincerely, regret these action and pray for discernment, when another opportunity presents itself which we hope may be in less than 6 months time.

Politics / Re: Recent Killing Of Igbo's In Northern Nigeria And The Silence Of Igbo Politicians by Frankviews: 3:03pm On Jan 09, 2012
Do you want the less-than-female, lily-livered, South Eastern fake democratic Governors, not to get their Federal Allocation by challenging what is happening to their brothers up North? Do you know that almost every South-Eastern gate city is a Garriki, that is occupied by Northern, cattle traders. They may be making bombs there for all we know, but who cares? The poor ibo people are scared of even their own shadows. grin They governors only want to drink beer and party all night and sleep with young girls, especially the Enugu state governor is notably the worst of them all. In the debate at the emergency session of the Federal House of Assembly, did you hear one Representative from Enugu speak from start to finish, No! Like the Ibo's say sorioo!
Politics / Re: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Al-Jazeera Interview On Fuel Subsidy Removal by Frankviews: 1:59pm On Jan 09, 2012
My simplest analysis is that the problem is no longer fuel subsidy reversal, but that we the Nigerian people have had it up-to our noses, because the people elected and appointed by the elected see the majority of Nigerians as daft (lying and decieiving us at every turn) and therefore do not consider it necessary to provide transparent and accountable details of their plans and strategies in simple terms so that the people they SERVE can understand. Unfortunately, majority on this platform are still exhibiting different kinds of sentiments and still use terms like 'our leader's, but I am happy that many are beginning to pick up the budgets to analyse for themselves and are beginning to ask questions from the "public servant's. Put simply, GEJ and everyone working under him are public servants and are out there to serve and should serve in the best interest of the Nigerian people, and when the people talk they should listen. Nigeria has been broke for a long time and they did not care, they are now only worried about generating more money, because they have calculated that very soon those in government would not be able to get their fat salaries and allowances and therefore they turn to the masses to vomit every penny in their pockets to keep them in the office; at least I heard that much from the parliamentarians who voted against the motion yesterday. How can you beat a child and tell the child not to cry? the palliative agenda is actually, designed to create another cabal in the transport industry. They have provided N10B revolving funds for few transport owners, granting them import waivers and zero interest rates. Why should a government that is regarded a leader, beg transport business owners to keep price down, when in other civilised clime, they use price control agencies to regulate inflation. Where is the price control or consumer protection agency in Nigeria? My people let's grow above ethnic sentiments and learn to hold government accountable in an objective way. Every child in America and UK is thought their rights right from basic classes. The basic fundamental right is the right to express yourself. Why should Nigerians expressing themselves in Lagos and Kano be killed by the police? We need to rise and fight against all this efforts to muzzle us up, and create disunity amongst us because some people somewhere are benefiting from it! God bless Nigeria.
