Many of the pro-marriage haranguers on this thread are either in terrible marriages or singletons who are desperate for marriage, and just can't grasp why some else wouldn't.

I see your point sis, lemme counter them for you. i for one don't think there's anything like gender pay gap. i receive same salaries with other guys in my office and currently a woman is heading our dept. and same apply to other sectors. people of same level receive same pay irrespective of the sex. unequal representation of women in polity? Women are few in politics because most don't have interest in politics, no law restricts women from veering into politics. Child marriage is world problem itself not just a female thing. Many ladies keep screaming equality upanda, yet they are looking for rich boyfriends and sugar daddies to foot their bill, immediately a guy toast them they becomes the guys responsibility, pays fees, give them money for cloth, hair etc, yet they want equality, they want to have equal say in that relationship. If you conceive as a result of rape, give birth to the child and give he/she up for adoption. That you can't provide love and care is no reason to deprive him/her of life.

As for the first point, many women who abort do so as a result of abandonment by their baby daddies. So, if you don't want women aborting, better make sure the men responsible are forced to accept and take care of mother and child (ren).

I'm in support of safe abortions for those who want to. You just can't force people to birth and/or raise children. Like the poster above said, it's not worth it bringing a child one cannot take care of into the world.
