The man is speaking facts honestly. People act like marriage is some kind of investment where the returns are guaranteed but for a Nigerian man in this economy the risk is too high.

I know guys who married, built the house, paid bride price, took care of everything — and then the wife packed and left with the kids when things got tough. No accountability, nothing. The court system will still favor her.

That said sha, I dont think all women are like that. Some women genuinely hold their men down and contribute. The problem is you can't always tell who is who until its too late.

The real issue is that our society still has this old mindset — man must provide everything — but has also adopted new ideas where the woman has freedom to leave if she feels like it. Its a one sided deal now.

Marriage still has its value but a man needs to choose very carefully these days. Financial compatibility should be discussed openly before anyone says I do. If she earns money but expects you to pay all bills, thats a red flag. Period.

A friend of mine told me about two medical doctors who got married; the wife earns more because of her branch of medicine. She was so bossy, they had problems all the time. As we speak, the wife took the kids and relocated to Scotland, bro is back being a bachelor, no kids.

As a man, you have to be higher in these three things: money, age and intellect(educational degree) at least two. If you do not want to have a problem with your wife.

Just leave them, they believe in fantasy.

They all want men who don't want them, one thing about a man we don't know how to say no when we see free meat.

And these women come back crying all men are this and that. Go for your level.

Trust me when I say, she likes him.
If he comes back, she will still accept him.

The reason I avoid single mothers. They put their kids first, and when that's not my kid, that's a problem.

My advice to men is simple: let a woman love you for who you are, not for what you have. Only lazy women look for men to spend on them. It’s better she leaves because she thinks you’re broke or stingy than for her to stay only because you’re a heavy spender. When the money stops or a bigger spender comes along, she’ll leave anyway.

Men should learn from women. Most women invest money into their looks, and men should do the same. Some men starve themselves to “package” their women, and in the end, those same women become so upgraded that they no longer see their men as equals.

So in all you do, invest in yourself, both in your looks and financially. Success is attractive. Women respect successful men, whether those men spend on them or not.

I have come to understand that sometimes it pays to be a wayward father. If the guy had those traits, she wouldn't have the boldness to leave. Generally, it doesn't pay to be nice in today's world. Even in a family setting, the most responsible one gets the most responsibility.

I'm not taking my wife with me, except that she is bringing 40 per cent of the money.

We relocated abroad 3 years ago but she isn't helping to settle any of the bills.

We both are gainfully employed though I earn much than she does. Our monthly expenditure is about £2000 and she doesn't care to help in any way. I foot all bills making me struggle to save while she keeps all she earns to herself. We also had a loan of over 10 thousand pounds to settle when we relocated, she didn't help with a dime till I paid all bits by bits which took me almost 2 years.

Despite this, I still help with house chores like taking care of our kids, home cleaning and even washing dishes though she does all the cooking.
I've expressed my displeasure several times but she keeps insisting I can't force her to financially assist, it's my job as I'm the husband. She seems convinced she isn't doing any wrong and no sign of remorse whatsoever.

I financed our relocation 100% without her contributing a dime.

This is causing a strain in the marriage and I am thinking if I am unreasonable in my demand, am I?

I have come to understand that when people rely on you too much, it makes them lazy and puts lots of pressure on you. It happens in the workplace, family and life generally.

No one of my friends got a job by merit; it was one uncle and relations that could be of help. That is called "lobby". Even so-called Christian folks who come give their testimony in church, press some buttons; they come to church and act like it is all miracles.

I'm a realistic person, we are all deceiving ourselves. The characteristics people have as a Christian are they go to church, they can sing and pray, but when it comes to life decisions that will test their faith, they fail every time. I have had dealings with so-called Christian folks and I conclude they are the worst people to work with because

As a mechanical engineer who didn't practice I'm regretting till date, if you don't have connect try to come out with a very good grade ( first class ). It will give you an upper edge multinational company. Anything below 2.1 forget it except you have connect.

Except you study civil engineer where you can do a private practice, or electrical engineer where you can do some courses.

Just have it at the back of your mind to be successful you have to learn cut corners. This is a guy who came from Christian home, who believe everything was done by merit until my eyes were opened.
